It is advisable to save at least 15% of your income in a 401(k). Online calculators can help you estimate the appropriate savings amount based on your age and income. By saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k), you can work towards a comfortable retirement. This strategy allows you to benefit from compound interest, potentially growing your retirement savings significantly over time.

Rising prices have affected my intention of quitting my part-time, and building my savings. I'm worried about whether individuals who weathered the 2008 financial crisis found it less challenging than my current situation. The stock market's volatility, coupled with a reduced income, is making me anxious about having enough for retirement.

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform.

Okay, story time. This wasn't about making money, but making decisions which degree would I like to have. In my family, they really glamourize or glorify if their child is in a medical or nursing school. Since I came from Asian family, comparing cannot be stop. I was really pressured if I should really pursue nursing even I don't really like it. Since there was so much pressure and they hurrying me up to decide, I just decided to go for nursing. At first, nursing is fine since I really love Chemistry. But in the middle, I knew that my decision was very wrong. I shouldn't have pursue the degree, because I don't really like it. Since I really fear regrets for my future self, I decided to drop myself out of nursing while it's early and decided to shift to the degree what I really want. Although it's risky to change, but at least I've made a decision that I least regret. That's why I really agree that people should really fear regrets. Time is gold. Time is our biggest asset. The chances of taking risks gets lower as we age so take chances, take risks while you're young.

Hi Erika!! Amazing you finally found that courage! As a coach I am telling you that when you know your why , and you are ready to pursue it -you will make it work! I always felt like I was broken -because I never tried to fit in , I never chased money , status . I could not care less what people thought of me since I have been a teenager. And people always judged me :) and still do now! I was standing up to every single boss , teacher or whoever was trying to break my boundaries. because my fear has always been “to let myself down”. Hence why, never ever I have ever sacrificed my true self. But living like that is never easy -you gotta have courage to be disliked. 🎉

The best course of action if you lack ma-rket knowledge is to ask a consultant or invest-ing co-ach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a con-sultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my port-folio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

We read news in the media that doom and gloom is coming and we just accept it, doom and gloom doesn’t always have to be coming, I’ve read numerous success stories of people that are pulling off tremendous gains of up to $250K within weeks in this crazy market and I just want to learn how to achieve such figures.

Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. These are very valuable info for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $109k now to put in the market.
@Natalieneptune469 Жыл бұрын
Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.
@tradekings5433 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $121k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

I worked for 2 Big 5 accountancy companies 20+ years ago as a tax lawyer. In short: horrible experience! 3 out of 5 of my room mates were burned out or were on medical leave and I remember saying goodbye to someone leaving the company almost on a weekly basis. Toxic, horrible work environment. But when you are young (20's/ 30's) you think that you have to "sell" yourself to get ahead, which is not true at all. Currently, I have my own small law firm. I help people, and I am appreciated. And I make enough money to buy my first home.

Not really you shouldn't fear anything since you should act so you don't leave regrets and failure is just a process to success no one can achieve success without failures along the way but no one talks about the failures usually only the achievements and success. That is why having your own job is the best, since working for someone means they own you for that amount of time to do a certain task. In reality we haven't changed from the slave system, it is a system with make up so people can't tell they are just slaves to it.

You said it perfectly :as a lawyer who has been lucky enough to work laterally from the profession I can so appreciate this lady's sentiments. Lawyers tragically are slaves not to money but to status. Just tell any fellow lawyer 'if I had a chance to work for double the. Money as a bin man I would happily do so and watch their face'. I deploy this statement and instantly discover so much. The longer one stays in lawyer the more disappointed and regretful kindred spirits one meets.
