My father and uncles are into msme business boomer Era. They worked every weekend to build it. But my father because of how hard he worked and he always brought us up telling hard work begets anything , not skill. Work hard else there is no value. As college kids we worked with him in his office helping him eventually it felt too controlling and no freedom to change or make any decisions, eventually one took a education loan and got through a good MBA college, another sibling picked ca and cleared it. Now after 4 to 5 years both had capability to either step into family business or both could start their own business... but guess what we both choose to be employed... as years passed we are more different than majority of other employees who complained through out while having being brought up by a very strict business father we were okay to work crazy hours even if we r employees, hard work was instilled in us , + we had a automatic logic of learning any business we work in even if we r cleaners in a small company our brains think how the people above us must have started and managed this .. this logic combined with hardwork after first 5 to 6years also got us faster promotions . As top management in corporate as employees after 35% of tax we made more than our uncle or father, but we still stick to job and tell we will look into business post 45 if necessary by our own efforts and saved money ... mainly because we have seen our father and uncles who barely spent time at home for trips or travel or didn't learn once their business made a nominal progress , it became always about money for them and eventually leading to a conservative mindset. I am not saying they were wrong , they did amazing for their Era. Our Era is fast changing and there is lot of change even in mindset culturly due to globalisation so it's necessary to build a network , learn things + more important is to live life. Even now lot of my collegues in corporate crib about work .. without realising our ancestors would have given anything for a free life where you make money and learn and develop ourselfs... so point is work hard have an open mind... else people will keep listening to these self help gurus. Work thinking you make a difference to world. Whether it's employment business self employed doesn't matter .. what matters is we all are different .. various experiences shape us ... as long as there is food 3 times , a shelter and some money in pocket and you like your job or more importantly it develops you as a person ... then it doesn't matter

Sir IIT knowledge used to explore innovations and to discover something for a country and add value to the country or society. To earn just money why did you choose IIT and now say useless. It would have been sacrificed to some student who may become abdual kalam , c.v. ramanujujam. IIT is mean for eternal knowledge, discoveries not to earn just money. Other so many options or direct business you would have choosen. Please don't insult IIT & Other great degrees, universities. Investment is different and achieving knowledge degrees is different.

Seeing the comments section, I find perplexed. Realton concurrences are not sparkled by mere books. Life science has endured this kind of small catalysts. Unfortunately capitalist and Democratic society proliferates such writers to spill their beans, among takers - a few could marvel. Globalising any theology in the name of motivating journalism on general topics are indeed on the boom, good. I do not criticise the aim of the book- Everyone should become rich in his or her life time, cautiously, happy it happens from younger age, be it below 20 itself..... Because, many societies are yet to realise the meaning of the word "Rich " where the struggle to get three meals a day itself is quite painful a tough ordeal every day 😂😂😂
