In this video, we’re going to talk about Bill Gates’ new product, Apeel, which is used to make fresh produce last longer. Of the ingredients in Apeel, 99.34 percent are listed as “other ingredients,” which is a red flag because of the lack of transparency.
We know that Apeel contains monoglycerides and diglycerides-emulsifiers, which help mix things together. Apeel also contains solvents and heavy metals, including palladium, cadmium, lead, mercury, and arsenic! Manufacturers claim these metals are safe in small amounts, but there is no data about chronic consumption over time. Apeel also contains polyethylene glycol, a compound found in antifreeze.
Apeel could be a partially hydrogenated product. The FDA has banned trans fats, but loopholes still allow manufacturers to use them in their products.
If a product has less than .5 grams of trans fats, the FDA allows them to round it down to zero and not report the trans fats in the product. If a product is classified as an emulsifier, not a lipid or fat, it is exempt from the FDA’s ban on trans fats.
There is some controversy surrounding the function of the Apeel coating on produce. Is it a coating to keep food fresh or a fungicide? The EPA and the OMRI describe Apeel as a fungicide used after harvest, but Apeel is advertised as a protective coating.
There’s no way to remove the Apeel coating from your fresh produce, so it could potentially lock pesticides or pathogens inside. Think twice about buying fruits and vegetables that have this coating on them.

Thanks Dr. Berg. I suspected Apeel wasnt good for us. Cause l work in a big store produce dept. and we have had to throw thousands away. The outside looked good but the inside was rotten black. Customers keep complaining and bringing them back for refund. Now ......l now know the issue is worse than l suspected. Im very happy that we have a watchman on the wall.

The reson you might not see the Apeel label on avocados, apples and other produce is because the label is now on the backside of avocado box or delivery plastic containers. One label for the entire container. The Apeel label is not on each avocado, like when this coating started being applied. The reason is because customers started complaining about how bad the avocados were. So the Apeel coating might be on avocados but the label is not. Even the 3 in a bag are turning out horribly rotten. One of Bill Gates get richer schemes. I used to eat a avocado a day, but not anymore.

I would say ( for me personally) during that last 3 weeks I noticed a BIG difference & as you say ... taking AGES to ripen & feeling solid for an abnormal amount of time even when the colour & texture would normally indicate that they were ready to eat ! And as you say NO stickers on individual avocados NOR any indication on packaging that these were coated with Apeel. Got impatient & cut into them over several days ... green inside but abs solid ! Few days later the same ... but now there were ? also kind of odd moisture dewy looking droplets forming on the flesh. All this was really noticeable in comparison to the norm. Strangely enough .. I used to run the hydrogenation unit for a company that supplies 85% of the Unites States Palm Oil products. We also used a catalyst that we were required to wear full face respirators and chemical gloves to add. It was cancerous along with other warnings. The catalyst along with hydrogen, heat, and pressure is what’s used to change the molecular structure of the oil.

Shellac is derived from the female Lac bug. It secretes a resin that is scrapped off the tree. It is used in coating cadies, etc. Not to be confused with Shellac wood finishes.

If you want to avoid this coating, look for fruit that is NOT shiny and does not have a smooth almost shellac type coating on it. Also, fruit/veggies coated with this stuff tends to look "perfect" in comparison to natural fruit, ie: does not have blemishes or flaws in the peel/skin. For example, lemons coated with Apeel, look bright yellow and are shiny and when you hold them you cannot feel the skin of the fruit just a smooth surface. That's how you tell because its apparently on normal and organic foods as well.

Shellac is made from harvested insect secretions(the specific insects produce it from the tree sap they eat, to form nests around them), it is quite safe as it's a very natural product. It is cleaned and melted as part of the purifying process. It is used in some makeup like nail polish to give it that glossy shine, also in many candies for the same reason.

I've done quite a bit of research into the Apeel produce and it is not even required to add the Apeel label to the produce that has been contaminated with Apeel! The Apeel contamination is a serious problem for those of us who want to only eat organic foods. IMO, this is a fraudulent endeavor that has been crafted between corporation and govt. The organic or Non-Gmo label can be applied along with the Apeel coating and it's legally accepted in the US! Costco has been aware of Apeel and they claim no produce has Apeel because so many customers have complained. Driscoll, the berry producer, has pledged to not use Apeel coatings. Our general rule is to buy local from our nearby orchard and then can any fruits we want to eat year round, or we grow our own, or we buy from Costco. Avocados are the #1 produce implementing the Apeel coatings. This Apeel chemical compound does not wash off and it does penetrate the skin so you are consuming this toxic chemical compound. Nothing good can come from this except for product-longevity for stores.
