Great demo of how deep it can get. I especially like the fact that the parameters for inserted devices, also VST's, are exposed right away to make modulation of them easy.

The thing about the incredible depth in a device like the Drum Machine is that when you don't need that depth, it's kept out of sight, but when you do want it, it's super intuitive to find (IMHO).

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Well talked through. Just started learning Bitwig. Is there a way to load say 30 samples and put in parameters to randomize the notes for glitch type music. In cubase I could set a key range and press random and it would scatter the notes.

Do you know why it automatically stretches out every sound effect inserted? What is it stretching it to in a empty track? And why does changing stretch mode distort it automatically. This seems pretty awful since in most other software it would tell you the pitch and percentages that are being changed but here it’s doing whatever it wants, is there a way to get the exact speed back in stretch mode?

Bitwig is very flexible and can do a lot. However the way everything implemented is very unfriendly and hard to keep up with. To get from a to b takes many clicks. Impossible to see lots of stuff what is going on unless you go to specific menu. Especially buggers their modulation when you have to actually click on mod destination or hover over to see what modulating what. Unipolar/bipolar switched on modulator l level, not destination level. And the biggest thing that not even buggers but pissing off is when switching tracks the device view jump to the beginning of chain and you constantly have to scroll to the device you want to see. But bitwig is the most stable daw and it is only one reason I use it. If any other out there was as stable as bitwig (except reaper which is as stable but sickening to look at) I’d switch on the spot.
