Ah love the KN for sure, but the EN is amazing, and probably the only N ICE engine left in production since it looks like they are ending the KN after this year to focus on N-line and EV Konas!

They did not unfortunately. Their big thing is the sound and phonetics. Car feels good tho (and sounds amazing) but wouldn't think its astronomical gains as far as power (5hp-10hp) at the most and similar to whatever the results of the VN are.

Is it possible to do an exhaust comparison with the different modes vs the stock exhaust in the same modes? Obviously sounds great in sport/n but would like to see the comparison of the stock sport mode vs the Borla normal mode. It’s really nice being able to make the car sound like a Prius when passing cops! Thanks!

Might have to search for some stock exhaust vids on here to get a comparison. The valving system works yes but def not going to sound like a Prius lol in normal mode. The Borla the exhaust note is more apparent /louder than oem in normal though not obnoxiously loud and at cruising speeds its lower. They have filmed the car though and Borla typically releases sound comparisons videos of the different modes so I'll look to share once they post! Also might might to check out the aFe exhaust videos to get some comparisons with their system. They have a cat-back system option that keeps the resonator so won't be as loud in normal mode.

@@Talaria567 Ah maybe wait until the sound video comes out from Borla to compare. What they've said is they don't necessarily go for loudness but for tone and exhaust phonetics hitting certain notes. For me the normal mode in the Borla is def louder than stock sport to me. I'm getting a good amount of pops and bangs in normal with the borla vs I would only get them in N mode.

Yeah there are some full ECU swaps that are tuned and make good power that I’ve seen. And knowing any dealer it would prolly be best not to tune or mod if worried about warranty for sure!

hah man honestly out the box the car is great. Def wait for the break-in period and maybe first oil change just to get a feel for it stock but maybe some lowering springs or new wheels and tires and def the rally armor flaps or rally flapz are a must and great first little mod to do!

Yeah they didn't dyno the car unfortunately. They had an EN there that they're release an exhaust for, and I would assume it would be similar in gain and price. The VN one's I've seen around $1500 for the cat-back system but I'll see if I can post an update if they let me know!

I took the BOV off and K&N Intake for R&D but have since put it back on and everything sounds good with all the noises ha!

I have the K&N intake and love it, and I've see the Takeda intake and it's beefy and great quality. I would go with those 2 and then SXTH last (only because I haven't seen it in person).

I got the Takeda intake but I got a 2023 and don't know what turbo inlet matches only the 19-22 veloster N inlets says it matches. Could you help? its really confusing lol

@@lordzedd9453 no change to the engine for 2023 so the Veloster N inlet still works. I would still hit up SXTH just to ask and to also see if it pairs up with the Takeda intake not sure what the sizings are between the 2!

Cost of the exhaust is listed on their site here: www.borla.com/2022-2023-hyundai-kona-n-exhaust-systems so around 1.5k to 1.6k depending on the color tips you get. Not sure how much the install would be at a shop, depends on the shot in your area!

Not for nothing but be wary friend municipalities are beginning to send summon's in the mail to vehicles they're recorded being operated above tolerable sound/decibel levels for music and excessive exhaust noise via the red light/speeding cameras that are already posted. In my town the fines are returnable to the Environment Control Bureau which can be very high and you can try and fight it but it'd be a waste of time one cannot refute whats been captured on video or audio for all to witness. Corsa has already started to sell a valve that allows the driver to hit a switch in the car in order to turn the sound down substantially which is great but who knows where these cameras are with out a detector for speed or red light, if even? Proceed cautiously my friend don't get caught out there, cheers.
