I rotate between two pair of shoes -- both Asics, but one more cushioned than the other, one a little wider. I agree with your argument about fewer injuries when you rotate shoes: your foot is performing a little differently with the different shoes. As a 61 yo, long-time runner (40+ years), avoiding injuries is imperative for me.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. How many miles are you running a week ? Also I’m interested in Asics … what two shoes do you rotate ?

@@AnOldManRunning I generally run 30-35 miles per week. The two models I run in are the Asics Gel Excite 8 (I'd bought 4 pair; very affordable on Amazon when the Gel Excite 9 was first released) and the Tri Noosa 14 (more expensive than the Gel Excite and more stylish but coming down in price now that they've released the model 15). There are many good models priced under $100 and the Gel Excite 8 can be found for around $50. Prices of running shoes can be outrageous!
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I was familiar with the 2 versions of the rincon and novablast and the Clifton 8 .. do you see much change in the latest of any of these?

These are great videos and I appreciate you making it. The relationship between the shoes you are wearing and your training is very important. It also creates a more disciplined workout plan.

Thanks for the kind comments. Its funny.. making this video has made me a lot more conscious of being more careful what shoes I pick for what run. I bought the shoes in a haphazard way and it was nice to think though the appropriate use for them. I see your point about the relationship building discipline

@@AnOldManRunning I think most of us are in the same boat. We hardly buy a pair of shoes to complete our shoe rotation but they end up just doing that. Rotating shoes makes training more fun also.
