I really hope the AI is better in the final release because other than that I really enjoyed the demo. It needs to amp up the intensity in combat by like 10 times. Condemned's combat and AI was one of the main reasons why it was so nerve racking and scary.

This looks really interesting and a welcome change to the typical Horror tripe (which I would scarcely call such) on Steam. With respect to the story, while I'm not always the biggest fan of Souls-style plot drip feeding, removing the air of mystery surrounding any Horror movie or game has a detrimental effect on tension. There's a balancing act that needs to be maintained. Think about the best Horror offerings, the second you know/understand the antagonist a large portion of the audience's fear is removed. This is why often, not always, Horror sequels fall flat. NGL that enemy behaviour was hilarious though, it needs serious work. EDIT On a side note I love Alan Wake and American Nightmare but 2 meh....didn't do much for me.

Yeah it felt almost broken in the demo, enemies kept walking away and just standing menacingly a few meters away for no reason. If he wants to capture the unpredictable panic-inducing combat of Condemned and Manhunt, it definitely needs more work

Came here to say the same thing. First demo I can recall where I kept checking the clock prior to the release of it so I could grab it immediately. Szymanski is a national treasure and I knew this was gonna be my jam but the AI seems like it could use a rework. Starting off easy until players get accustomed is one thing (and expected) but I had instances where they'd just stand there and wait to get hit. I can't wait to see what other dark, grimy, sinister environments await though. I am as eager for this one as you guys and hope that the full game is really fleshed out, because this has so much potential. LOVE that Johnny did a vid on this and wouldn't mind to see more of these demo reviews interspersed with the long form vids!

That game just looks tasteless and gross. It mind end up being a good game but from what I've seen so far it just looks like it compensates its lack of polish with cheap shock value. Kind of like Agony. Which makes sense because it's the same developer

this feels closer to condemned than manhunt 1. loved both condemned games but manhunt 1 was on another level. only the old r* could go all out and make a truly gruesome game like manhunt 1. manhunt 2 on the other hand was really not that good.
