@@siddhantdeshmukh7120 it's so simple. When you go to purchase a flat or vehicle and you can't pay the whole value at a time the seller asks you to purchase it on EMI and you agree and sign . The reason they don't refund is that they overlap the 15 days of trial with refund window. Your refund window expires even before you actually buy the course. Their system is flawed by design to rip people off. Even the BDAs tell that once a payment is done, that phone number is ignored by system itself for 15 days so that nobody could contact for refunds. So my mom who has seen this phase tried to explain to my aunt that all this is a fraud but my Aunt was brainwashed so well by this Brand that she wasn't even ready to listen to mom, she was acting as if my mom doesn't want her daughter to do well in life. It used to employ same bullying tactics against those who voiced out their concerns about IIPM. Ultimately, after a few years and some lawsuits, Indian government and the Department of Education took cognizance of it and banned IIPM. 'You reap as you sow'.

From 10:20 whatever you said was extremely right. It made me cry because exactly same thing happened to me in my first job.. i was told that i will get 35-40k per month salary. I was a big introvert That's why i don't used to talk much with anyone and also it was my first job so I didn't know what kind of attitude is needed to work in front of an abusive manager and toxic working environment. So what happened was i joined the company and then i was almost abused by my manager everyday even though i was the one who was the most hardworking employee in that office.but because I was introvert and so the manager started putting pressure on me because he thought this guy doesn't talk or interact with anyone he is not productive. And for that reason i only got 20k salary that too after 40 days after joining the company because they used to keep a gap of 10 days for paying salary after every month. The other employees were hardcore extroverts so they used to express that they are doing too much work. And in that company no employees were given proper training because from manager to every other employee it was a kind of work which requires new skills. So the probability of mistakes was too much. But but but guess who was blamed for these mistakes yes it was me, always.. i can't even tell how many times that manager abused my mother sister😞 but i had to somehow stick with job because i bought a bike on installments because my home was 37kms away from office and i live in a village. And the other major reason was that i couldn't afford to leave that toxic job because all my relatives and neighbours knew that i have started doing work and earning 40k per month (which i was told by the manager) which is considered very good salary in rural areas even though i was only getting 20k in reality. Once when i was going home from work and stopped alongside the road cried there even thought to commit suicide because i was abused and even threaten to lose my job because of some girl's mistake. Somehow i console myself because it will only make my mother father sister life like hell. So somehow i kept working there for a few months until i got a very good work from job. i am getting 25k which is more then enough for me.. my 3500-4000rs which i used to spend on petrol is also being saved now. And wasting 2 hours up down to the office also. And the cherry on top is in this job you get a holiday on Saturday also. And the other 5 working days are also like half holidays because there is not much work and pressure and it's a stable job. So whoever is reading this i just want to let them know just have patience and give your best you will surely get what you deserve just work hard and smart 🙏

I realised this quite early and gladly rejected the 8,00,000 rs. job twice after clearing the interview. The traditional sales model never convinced me. The product has no different moat than other ed tech startups. And the company will soon fail when the bad press makes sales go awry.

Another important point here is, these edtechs invest so much in highly sophisticated animations to help students understand the concept in 3D and all, students’ brains become lazy to unconsciously visualise it and enjoy (so called) education like fast food. I still remember how my geography teacher explained me in 90s the moon’s phases with practical in classroom by making few of standing and making role play of Sun, earth and moon.

This company came to my college for placement 2.5 years ago. They recruited 4 students with 10L package. I was very sad at that time because I didn't got placed. Currently I am software engineer with 8.5L package and very work friendly IT company where everything is chill. I am very glad that I didn't got placed in Byju's after hearing those 4 students story. Very Good content Sirji. Hats off to your guts for standing against the shame less corporate culture. But then where is this model not replicated in today's world Sir? This is ubiquitous. Organizations change but this culture remains same. In whichever company the growth is pointed vertical, the story is the same inside. May it be New Private Sector Banks, Life Insurance Companies, Mutual Fund AMCs, Automobile Sector and the list is endless. Undue pressure to the employees, fear or losing one's job - employee tends to do wrong selling. It is the Management behind the employee putting undue pressure and making him/her to do wrong selling. Management very well knows that their putting pressure will lead to wrong selling and that is what they want. In case of any complaint, they can simply fire the employee stating that he/she has done mis-selling or wrong selling. Greed of growing fast and making money is not only costing physical & mental health of employees and customers but also is causing damage to the ecology. More growth, more production; More production, more raw material; More raw material, more destruction to the nature. Consumption which should have happened in 10 years ideally, if it happens in 1 year implies we are devastating the nature in 1 year which should have taken 10 years time. But no one is concerned. Everyone's primary objective is earning money by whatever means. Consumption should be requirement based and should not be a forced consumption. Forced consumption leads to faster destruction of nature. In my childhood, maintaining a car was a status symbol and no ordinary employee was able to afford. No thanks to the Banks but now almost any employee who earns bare minimum salary can maintain a car. Noise pollution, emission of poison into the air, traffic, accidents and what not. Some times when we go and look on the roads, we can feel the madness. If one thinks with all good intentions, he/she become insane in the society. He will be blamed of not competing with others and will be labelled as inefficient. The pain is endless. However from the bottom of my Hear, I congratulate you and appreciate your dare for speaking publicly on one such Company. You are Great Sir. Hats Off. Keep on education please....Humble Request of mine.
