Glad you are making this podcast. I am not mormon, but grew up a BYU fan always. I remember the Miami game, all those Hawaii games in the middle of the night with my dad, who is mormon. I went to every game with my dad for years as a kid, and don't remember BYU losing. Then everything changed. If anyone thinks BYU could look past this game. You are incredibly mistaken. 50/50 that BYU beats Utah by 50 and lose out the rest of the season..... Or qualify for the playoff. There is not a better rivalry in college sports this year than NYU and Utah...

The Holy War rivalry is truly unique. Most rivalries are separated by location. If you live in Austin, you're more than likely a UT fan. If you live in Oklahoma, you're likely an Oklahoma fan. This isn't just another rivalry tied to location. The entire state, is split down the middle. Communities are split down the middle. Families and friend groups are split down the middle. You go to any K-12 school in the entire state, or to any LDS congregation across the United States and you'll find passionate fans on each side of the aisle. There's really not another rivalry like that in the entire country.

BYU's defense is very complex and consequently they make a lot of mistakes. When they do, a big play often results. For example, against UFC, Batty failed to run a stunt leaving a hole wide open, which Harvey ran through all the way to the goal line. Against AZ, part of the secondary failed to check out of a defensive call.signaled in from the sidelines. Half the secondary was playing zone, half were in man to man. Consequently, a long pass over the middle was wide open. I predict, Bernard will exploit this and have at least one lone run. I doubt the Ute QB (whoever that is) will be able to exploit the defense. So, Utah should get at least 14 points. The question is: Can they stop BYU? Wit always loads the box (stopping the run) and presses the receivers (taking away the short pass), and taking his changes with the long throw game. So, if BYU can run, they will dominate. If they can't, Retzlaff will have to connect on the deep ball? If he can't, it could be a close game.
