As a new Train Sim player I agree with your scoring. I was disappointed with this DLC. I love the Loco's but the rest is Meh! The Sim in general needs a lot more playability, challenges, career mode etc. I am trying to figure out if there is a DLC with Diesel Loco's and passengers I could buy that is interesting. Another thing I have found is trying to play a Route in the day-time when they are all scheduled for night-time in some packs? It seems I have to try create my own scenario. I understand DTG is basing the Sim on actual routes and realism but yes, for casual players the playability is just not there. Thanks for your review.

Peninsula Corridor in San Fran is good, all diesels with some very good DLC. The run times are all about an hour though. Otherwise you might like Boston Sprinter, which has electric Amtrak locos and diesel local trains, with varying run times between 20mins and an hour.

I loved this though, even though I'm British I've gained quite a liking to foreign trains particularly American freight beasts, probably because i didn't travel much on trains when i was growing up and when i gained interest the American and other trains where just really interesting to me. I like the scenery dispite some people finding it boring and repetitive and i like trying my best to keep speed under control as i climb and descend steep grades. for me it's a solid 8.5/10 it just hits me in the right spot and i find it nice to play on.

I might be u s Raill fan here's what Dovetail games can do They can finish the map connect everything From san diego california To Bakersfield and palmdale california Mojave Desert to Neeedles California I don't mind the long journeys. I'd like that because it has a good save icon. Wherein ever you save you return right back to where you save But let's connect the everything and make it like a real railroad also Mix up the cars Let's have BNSF and s cars with Union Pacific cars. Let's have Union Pacific cars with CSX cars. Let's have CSX cars. Wouldn't nor force southern envy in s cars miximala up and always keep them mix Like you'll see in the real US railroad Also give us more liveries to design our own trains Like they use the North Ford Southern horse. But you don't have the horse in the livery section to put it on a train that makes no sense. Connect the map make more towns make more terminal stops Give what you call better liveries Also, let us designer own trains and give us a hump yard to control that our design of trains. Then this game would go up and ratings..

😆😆😆I've done this several times. EXCITED TO RUN. get up in that cab, jam the break back push the throttle forward honking the horn and........nothing😆 Embarrassing when you think you know it all about trains. Just fu ,fun,fun

I couldn't agree more with you. I got the route as part of the bundle when the game released, but I've only played it a couple of times. It's honestly quite boring. Most of the time you're just crawling along at low speeds, with absolutely nothing going on.

I feel as if this route isn’t great. I got it last week on sale discounted from £29.99 - £10.12 | the Route is long, and feels like a slow… boring drag. The 2 trains are cool, and desert routes like antelope valley and stuff just aren’t for me Probably not a route that I would go & generally play | my final rating for cajon pass is - 2/10 (1/5)

DTG most will say (Dove Tail Games) as I see it more like "Don't Test Games" as they never test anything they make reasons why everything is broken and has so many bugs all over it. If you say this game is Realistic your and idoit, as this game skip's everything that would make the game Realistic as it's just an arcade style game with a Fake timetable that everyone praises like its Gold.

The highways are painted, all jacked up with the double yellow lines completely out of place and flat out unemersive. Lazy as developers could of did a quick Google search to figure out American traffic lines

I don’t think that’s anything near the worst part of this route, but it shows the general attitude to route building quite well.
