Daniels versus Alabama was the best showing of any of these QBs. On time, in structure, and also made plays with his feet. Found his guys in the flat plenty too. I agree with most of what he said

Yeah but Maye is prototypical size, and at time’s completely forgets how to play quarterback but he’s big and has decent arm strength so he should go before Daniels… all the people saying Drake # 2 I wonder if they actually watched any tape? Because it’s pretty clear that he is a very risky selection for the first round let alone top 10 overall, I don’t think they understand how far apart the ACC and SEC are in the way of talent, speed , scheme and competition. Any position on a football team if your in the ACC and don’t Dominate or show significant separation of talent and athleticism then your probably not great or super star player.

Caleb has a similar story to a lot of other USC QB's. His personal story reminds me of Todd Marinovich's, but hey the media is determined to treat him like FB Jesus so he's gonna be great. As a GM, and if I were the Bears I'd much rather have draft picks unless it's an Elway or Manning type sitting at one. Caleb isn't that guy.

Hoge was also the same fellow who stated a year ago he would take CJ over Young he said Young wasn't a 1st rd pick. .His takes on Maye opened my eyes because I was leaning towards Maye... Inconsistent thrower, throwing from a clean pocket in College ain't gonna see clean pockets in the NFL. See's the hot receiver yet doesn't throw to the hot receiver.. You can't fix speed and you can't fix accuracy this always gets coaches fired believing they can. A dude can talk smart on the board but he can't process it on the field!! dude is deep.

Jayden Daniels is similar to Justin Fields but with a weaker arm. The Daniels hype is hysterical. He is less than a year younger than Justin Fields, is about 20 lbs lighter and had 2 WR's that will probably be drafted in the first 20 picks, He also had a much better OL than either Caleb or Maye. Being relatively old, skinny and with a tendency to take big hits doesn't bode well for Daniel's future. Maybe he emerges as the best QB, maybe he is on the IR after 4 games or maybe he never develops as a passer and relies heavily on his running ability. Anything can happen but I can't see how anyone would want Daniels over Caleb. Caleb has the stronger arm and makes all of the NFL throws with accuracy and precision. Caleb does hold the ball for a long time, so des Justin Fields. The big difference is that Caleb was holding the ball, maneuvering in the pocket and looking for plays downfield in part because his defense was routinely giving up 30 to 40 plus points a game this past season. Justin Fields holds the ball too long because he has trouble reading defense and doesn't throw with anticipation very well.

Hoge always sounds knowledgeable and confident, but just remember he's sharing an opinion -- an informed guess -- just like any other analyst. If he knew everything, surely some team would be paying him millions for his views. Dozens of analysts, scouts, and executives view Williams as the best prospect in the draft, and those opinions are just as valid and considered as Hoge's.

Hoge is normally on point with his evaluation with QBs. Talking about Caleb wanting to leave the pocket to run is just incorrect. More often than not, he left the pocket to throw. Hoge may be talking about Jayden Daniels. As talented as he is, more often than not, he's getting out the pocket and running.

Cliff Klingsberry is not drafting Maye, they’re not talking about Maye and in fact met with Jayden Daniels first and foremost, first interview which is all you need to know ( in less something catastrophic happens), won’t be selecting Maye with the #2 overall pick, and more then likely if not baited into a 3rd or 2nd round pick will keep Howell as well!
