@@justsayin6795 Ancient manuscripts dating back to the 200s AD show early Christians praying to Mother Mary. Since Protestantism emerged in the 1500s AD, this means that Christians were praying to Mother Mary for at least 1,300 years before Protestantism and its teachings even came into existence. I feel like that in itself is definitely something to think about. Furthermore, “Sola Scriptura” (which is nowhere referenced in the Bible) was pushed by Martin Luther in the 1500s AD, which was 1,500 years after the Catholic Church had already been in existence-the Church which was established by Jesus Christ and promoted by the early apostles. Also, Martin Luther took out 7 books of the Bible and added the word "alone" to Romans 3:28 himself, which is something that scripture clearly forbids doing, yet he took it upon himself and did it anyway. Ultimately, many people have been led astray from the truth because of Luther's heretical teachings, unfortunately.

In the Scripture when Jesus walked the Earth: before there was ever a Catholic Church or a Protestant Church, there were only Followers of Jesus or Believers in Him. Some of those followers were under certain Apostles after Jesus ascended to Heaven, but each Apostle was purely devoted to leading the crowds to only following Jesus the Christ. Mary will always be blessed for her role in being the mother of Jesus. She is greatly honored for this, but Jesus let her know their relationship was about to change forever. In Scripture, John 2:4 Jesus said to her, "Woman what have I to do with you? My hour has not yet come ." The Savior's words to His mother can be seen as a subtle, tender way for Him to tell her that while His hour had “not yet come” (John 2:4), He was now making the transition from being the son of Mary to fulfilling His role as the Savior of the World, the Son of God. Mary like every other believer in Christ, needs salvation in Jesus Christ.

Many people do not understand that at the Transfiguration where Elijah and Moses appeared and spoke to Jesus about His upcoming trials in Jerusalem in front of James, John, and Peter that this shows us that Jesus talked to the " dead". The "dead" in this case, as with all of humans, have an eternal soul. Those who receive the reward from God to live with Him for eternity not only praise Him for eternity, but are anxious for our admittance into heaven, also. That is why revelation tells us that the prayers of the saints assend to God from under the altar and in Jesus's kingdom the saints will be given authority over many things. Mary is the first among the many saints and she has been given authority, too. Her role on earth was to bring her Son the Savior to us, and she continues to do so from Heaven. We do not consider her "dead" but alive and well with Christ in heaven.( Also note, the Patriarchs existed in the Patriarch's Limbo before Jesus died and opened the Gates of Heaven with His death on the cross). We adore Thee oh Christ and we praise thee, because by Thy Holy cross, You have redeemed the world)GBY

Since Jeremiah was written in 600 BC, it obviously isn't referring to Mary. The term "Queen of Heaven" was used to refer to various pagan deities. First, the mother of Jesus cannot be pagan and secondly, no Catholic teaching treats her as a diety. Jeremiah was referring to every pagan pantheon that had a ruling deity called "King of Heaven." Was that king of heaven Jesus? No. And neither is the Queen of heaven, the corresponding female pagan deity, Mary. He was referring to the Canaanite pagan goddess Astoreth, the wife of Baal, who they called Queen of Heaven. He was condemning worship happening in his own day, so how can that be Mary? She wasn't born yet. God bless.

This is one of those tough ones that I had to let go of. I was baptized catholic but my family rarely, aka NEVER, went to church. I ended up taking myself off to a protestant church when I was in elementary school because they were really wonderful Christians who became a family to me, plus, it suited my logical mind better. Luckily for me, they were within walking distance of my house because my parents would have NEVER driven me. I was called back to the Catholic church by Mary. I have a problem with the "Queen" thing too. I have no problem seeing her as powerful, amazing, and helping us all the time, my biggest dream is to see an apparition of Mary, it could happen. Praying the rosary daily has made me aware of what an incredibly strong and obedient Child of God she was, her life blows me away. Basically, I'm saying all this because I don't want you to misunderstand, I treasure our Holy Mother, and our language is too pathetic to begin to describe her, but I still have problems with the word "Queen", so for now, I accept my adoration for the BVM, thank her daily, and just let the "Queen" thing go. I think Mary understands and if I need to change she will lead me to.

In times of sadness or depression, MARY, BE WITH ME. In times of lost plans and broken promises, MARY, BE WITH ME. When I am anxious about the welfare of my family, MARY, BE WITH ME. When a job or financial stress weighs heavily on my heart, MARY, BE WITH ME. When I am discouraged by the weight of my sins, MARY, BE WITH ME. When I am tempted, MARY, BE WITH ME. When I am afraid, MARY, BE WITH ME. When The Lord calls me to greater kindness and love, MARY, BE WITH ME. When The Lord calls me to greater forgiveness, MARY, BE WITH ME. When The Lord calls me to greater purity, MARY, BE WITH ME. On the wings of your Fiat, Mary, I proclaim mine. Together we sing a Magnificat of praise: For all the blessings in my life, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For the gift of today, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For the gift of loved ones, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For the gift of my life, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For creating me with a special purpose and plan, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For never giving up on me, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For Your infinite love, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For never leaving me, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For Your inexhaustible mercy, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For laying down Your Life for me, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For Your Presence in The Eucharist, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For the greater good You will bring out of everything, especially: In moments when I feel helpless and vulnerable, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. In the midst of uncertainty, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. In the midst of humiliation, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. In the midst of difficulty, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. In the midst of what appears as failure, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. For sending Your Mother to me in both joyful and sorrowful moments, I PRAISE YOU, JESUS. With Mary I sing: The Almighty has done great things for me, and Holy is His Name. Amen. Magnificat with Mary Prayer by Sister Elizabeth Ann, SV Orders.SistersofLife.org

JESUS is LORD. If we humble ourselves, and by faith trust in HIM for the salvation of our souls, which is only by the grace and mercy of our heavenly FATHER. With the belief of the Gospel (the birth, the life, the death, the resurrection, and the return someday) of JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. Repenting of our sins and calling upon HIM with a pure and broken heart, in sorrow for our sins and thankfulness for HIS sacrifice. With confidence that HE is able to save us to the uttermost. Inviting the HOLY SPIRIT to rule in our minds and hearts. Which is CHRIST in you. Becoming a follower in obedience to HIS commandments. Surrendering to HIS will and walking holy and honest with all good works. Resisting the devil. And asking for forgiveness, when we fail HIM. Being Instant in prayer. Picking up our Cross daily. Having a desire to be baptised in the name of the FATHER AND THE OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and receiving the LORD'S Supper in remembrance of the Body that was broken for us and the Blood that was shed for us. Being faithful in the reading of scripture. Submitting to the TRUTH of the WORD OF GOD. Loving our brothers and sisters, our neighbors and our enemies. Asking forgiveness if we have trespass against any one. And forsaking not the assembly of our fellow believers in CHRIST, which is the Body of CHRIST, HIS Church. Being a witness, to the promise of eternal life by the resurrection of our bodies from the grave, to HIS glory. Which is proclaimed by the WORD OF THE LORD HIMSELF. Be charitable, suffer with one another, be compassionate, hold fast to your profession of your faith. Let the WORD OF GOD dwell in you richly. This is true religion. I now pray, Our dear kind Heavenly FATHER, we thank you, this moment, for your love. YOU and YOU alone are HOLY and TRUE. We thank you for the love of your SON JESUS and the remission of our sins by HIS blood and the power of HIS resurrection. May YOU fill us with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT. Forgive us our sin and where we fail YOU. May YOUR KINGDOM come, May YOUR will be done. LORD, be merciful to me, a sinner. My mind, my heart, my life is YOURS. I now repent of my sins. And ask for YOUR forgiveness. Lead me by YOUR will. Remember me by YOUR mercy. Comfort me by YOUR power. Save me by YOUR grace. Wash me with YOUR love. Create in me a new heart, that I may be faithful, and follow YOU all the days of my life. Forgive me now my LORD. In CHRIST'S name i do pray. I give to YOU all praise and honor and glory forever and ever. Amen and Amen. If you have trusted HIM this day, tell someone about it. Be not ashamed, but a light unto the world. May you find strength in your travels. And may we meet in heaven someday.

I do feel a lot of Catholics take the devotion of Mary across a line which goes against God. Anything that has more focus than our Lord in life becomes an idol and form of idoltry. Thats why if we arent careful and Marion devotion is the centre of most of our Catholic lives this will condemn us to Hell as its idoltry. (You can idol your car, etc etc.) Just be careful please fellow Catholics!

Yes, Jesus is the only way to the Father but there are many ways to Jesus. Andrew brought Peter to Jesus. Philip brought Nathanael to Jesus. That is a form of mediation. In proclaiming Christ the one mediator (cf. I Tim 2:5-6), the text of St. Paul's Letter to Timothy excludes any other parallel mediation, but not subordinate mediation. In fact, before emphasizing the one exclusive mediation of Christ, he urges "that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all men" (2:1). If subordinate mediation is not allowed, please don’t ask anyone to pray for you because prayers are a form of mediation. Moreover, the Greek word used for "one" that St. Paul used here in I Tim 2:5-6 in the phrase "one mediator" is not monos, which would mean "sole," but eis, which can mean "one" in the sense of "principal," or "first in a series." Jesus is the principal Mediator who enables many other sub-mediators to transmit the grace of God to others. Again, faithful Christians act as sub-mediators in Christ when they pray for their neighbors, share the Gospel with the lost, and serve the poor. The Bible says that our growth in faith and holiness is aided by the intercessions of the other members of the Body of Christ (Eph 6:18; I Thess 3:11-13; I Tim 2:1-4), and there’s no better intercession than that of Jesus’ own mother. Jesus comes from the line of David an in the Davidic Kingdom the role of the Queen Mother was important (1Kings2:19). Read about how she had the function of "counselor" to the king in regards to all matters. God blesss.

That's the way it has been? Exactly. Go back before Martin Luther and see how all Christianity venerated, not worshipped, Mary. The Catholic Church is the Church of Christ because there was no other Christian Church for 1,5000 years.... only the Catholic Church existed. Do you think that Jesus would come to earth and start a Church, which he did i Matt 16:18, but then he would say, "I'm going to start a Church but I am going to get it wrong for 1500 years until Martin Luther comes and gets it right...." That doesn't seem to make sense. From the first century we have writings of Christians celebrating the Mass, the veneration of Mary and the saints, confession, prayers for the dead and belief in Purgatory. Those devotions were totally practiced by all early Christians. What does that sound like? Yes, only the Catholic Church. God bless and prayers for you.

I'm a former Catholic, and the explanation given one minute into your reply appears rather cloudy or convoluted. If you are quoting Paul's admonition to hold to traditions in "word or by our letter", it is not followed by ANY word or letter supporting Mary's title as queen of heaven by Paul, which is one of the reasons for admonition by the prophet Jeremiah 7:18. Queen of Heaven was a title given to the false goddess Astarte or Ashteroth. Any concept can be imagined and painted, so the painting in the background shouldn't be considered scriptural or even theological support for your explanation. In Luke chapter 1, when Mary pray's the Magnificat after the visit from the angel Gabriel and when she visit's her cousin Elizabeth, she DOES say that all generations will call her blessed, but she includes the words, "...my Spirit rejoices in God, my Savior...". Who needs a Savior if not also a sinner? The "full of grace" words of Gabriel can also be translated as "highly favored one". As she describes herself not as a deity to be worshipped nor prayed to, but rather God's handmaid (since JESUS is our mediary between God and man), Jesus further headed off undue reverence toward her in Luke 11:27-28, and Paul himself in Romans 3:23. Jesus is the ONLY sinless human, as stated there, and going beyond that was forewarned in Deuteronomy 4:2, where nothing should be added to or taken away from scripture. Mark 7:8 warns about not letting go of the commands of God to follow human traditions. Praying that as in Matthew 15:12 that these words are taken as opening hearts and minds to God, rather than offense taken - as from the Pharisees whom Jesus referred to blind guides. I was thoroughly disheartened about 20 years ago when Latin American countries were calling upon Pope John Paul II to call Mary a "co-redemptrix" with Jesus. She wasn't the spotless Lamb who took on all the sins of the world, suffering and dying willingly for our salvation; that was only Jesus. Thankfully, he didn't bow to that request, but there is so much darkness in their mingling of "Santeria", a "saint" of death that is prayed to and worshipped, with modern Latin American Catholicisim. It is easy for all of us to get off track, and then follow tradition as if it were God's laws. I pray that a revival of God being worshipped in "spirit and in truth" would sweep across our nation and into the world.

Blessed mother of the son of man (flesh) Jesus, but not the Son of God the spirit and the Word which was made flesh. We do not exalt other humans and people of the flesh, this is idolatry. What you are calling "respect" is idolatry. Respect is respect. Exaltation and glorification is a lot more than respect and honoring of an important historical person in the family of Christ. This is a purposeful misteaching the antichrist will use since we know the Bible clearly has a character being worshipped as the " queen of heaven". Jeremiah 7:18 ESV / 29 helpful votes The children gather wood, the fathers kindle fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven. Luke, in the very last mention of Mary in the scriptures, referenced "Mary the mother of Jesus" Acts 1:14 and not the Divine mother. It is remarkable that Luke, who heard that the Lord Jesus committed His mother to John from actual eyewitnesses did not call her "our mother" as the RCC interpreted the incident but "Mary the mother of Jesus". So, how far back did this tradition go back in church history? RCC has since given "Mary the mother of Jesus" different blasphemous titles: co-mediatrix, queen of heaven, bride of the Holy Spirit amongst many others. I pray the Holy Spirit give you and all others like you true repentance for God does not share His glory with humans no matter how exalted.

God blesss.

Jer 44:17 But we will certainly do whatever thing goes forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our rulers, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil.

God bless.

THE QUEENSHIP OF MARY - THE GEBIRAH & THE ARK OF THE NEW COVENANT GEBIRAH (Definition) - In the Hebrew Bible, Gebirah is a title ascribed to queen mothers of Israel and Judah Mary as The Queen Mother/ NT Gebirah is by Tradition and the Royal Davidic Line. God chose to have a mother in the bubble of space and time (earth). Mary is queen mother because Jesus is a Davidic king. (Luke 1:32) In the Davidic line of kings, the mother of the king was the Queen. (1 Kings 2:19, Jer 13:18) Since Jesus is our King in the Kingdom of Heaven, His mother Mary is the Queen. The role of the Queen Mother (the Gebirah in Hebrew) is one of intercession (1 Kings 2:17) Mary CARRIED THE LORD GOD JESUS IN HER WOMB - The Manna/Bread of heaven; The Tablets/Living Word; Aaron's Staff/High priest this is why Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant seen by John in heaven (REV 11:19) which is also The Queen Mother / NT Gebirah in REV 12 battling the dragon in the end times. Jesus is the Son of David, all mothers of the kings of i-s-ra-el were called "queen mothers". The queenship in heaven is also found in PSALM 45:9 SIRACH 24 that is why Mary is the queen crowned with 12 stars seen by John in Revelation 12.

The pagans had a false god to whom they ascribed the title Queen of Heaven. They also had false gods to whom they ascribed the titles Lord, Almighty God, King of Kings, Creator, and a host of others. Just because they ascribed these titles to their false gods, does not mean that there is no one to whom those titles apply truly. Jesus, for example, is King of Kings.

The Priest mentions Paul's words about keeping the traditions passed down, yet in ALL of Paul's writings you would thinjk he would have mentioned Mary and her Queenship or of God "assuming Mary" into heaven. Where is the evidence that demnands a verdict. He states that just because something is not in the Bible does not make it untrue. This is dangerous because anyone can come up with FALSE teachings. I'll stick to Scripture thank you.

@@servantsofthegospel6388 Who worships Mary? Certainly not Catholics. That has never been Catholic teaching and never will be. There is no encyclical, papal bull, or any kind of magisterium statement in the history of the Church that says to worship Mary. So please be careful of the sin of slander in saying something very damaging that is not true. "To pray to" doesn't necessarily mean "to worship" but "to ask." Haven't you ever asked anyone to help you? We ask Mary to help her lead us to her son. To bow doesn’t necessarily mean worship either. Japanese businessmen bow when receiving your business card as a sign of honor. Are they worshipping you? Certainly not. God bless kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZmamHejn71gjrc

Something does not have to be in the bible to be true. The doctrine of "scripture alone" is a false doctrine invented by Martin Luther. HOWEVER, The Queenship & assumption of Mary IS in the bible. 👉👉THE QUEENSHIP AND ASSUMPTION OF MARY: REV 12:1 A great sign appeared in the heavens, a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet and on her head a CROWN (signifying a Queen) of 12 stars. REV 12 tells us that the woman who has appeared in the heavens is the woman who gives birth to the malechild who will rule the nations, so we know she is MARY. Many protestants: 1. Do not know the bible as well as they claim to. 2. Do not have a correct and accurate bible either because the protestant bible was altered by Luther, and '3. Will argue about the interpretation of this scripture and will claim that the "wonan" means Israel rather than Mary because they refuse to acknowledge her place in the bible or her role in the gospel.

Thank you Father for your valuable speeches. But according to 1 King 2:23-25 King Solomon grossly disregarded his queen mother Bathsheba by breaking his promise that he made to her mother and even got Abishag killed. So how can this matter be compared to Mary, mother of the Lord.
Thank you for your teachings, they're very enlightening.

Jesus is the only mediator. Those were not the traditions Paul was referring to. These are man made traditions. Why go to his mother when you can go directly to the Lord , the veil was torn , you can go to him directly. “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” He points to the disciples and says, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Read the word for yourself please ❤

@@DivineMercy_Official That is demonic teaching. Shame on you! Saying 'there are many ways to Jesus' then saying that believers pointing the way to Christ are the 'many ways' or 'mediators' is absolute twisting of the Gospel. These people aren't 'mediators,' they were simply directing people to Jesus. Jesus is our mediator!! Mary isn't a 'Queen'...she was simply the human mother of Jesus, and then she died, just like everyone else did/will.

@@DivineMercy_Official I see you haven't provided any scripture to support your stated beliefs (many ways to Jesus). Do you mean the Catholic Church? Throwing Martin Luther and the Reformation under the bus doesn't support your false claims.
