Jolly Roger, ''These are cbd oils only though, of which treats only a few illnesses.'' They aren't. Marinol, Syndros (a liquid version of Marinol) and Cesamet are all synthetic THC drugs. Sativex is a standardised whole plant oromucosal spray. ''Most of the cannabinoid and thc compounds are banned and not allowed to be put into products or medication, these are the ones that treat the most serious forms of epilepsy, cancer treatment, arthritis, sleep disorders, many psychological illnesses, pain relief.'' The only drug which has been proven to treat certain types of epilepsy is Epidiolex (pure plant-derived CBD) www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1611618 www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1714631 www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(18)30136-3/fulltext None of the others have shown any efficacy for different types of cancer, arthritis, sleep disorders, psychological illnesses or pain relief. Both Marinol and Syndros are used as appetite stimulants for people with AIDS and as an antiemetic for those receiving chemotherapy. Cesamet is another antiemetic and can be used as an adjunct analgesic for neuropathic pain. Sativex helps with spasticity caused by MS. ''The doctors know this, this is why no doctor has been on tv lately saying otherwise like they would have 5 years ago, all these illnesses are being treated around the world, including other common wealth countries like Canada.'' There is literally no reason for cannabis to be illegal. Same with every other drug. I should have the right to do whatever I want with my own body
@martynblackburn96326 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid there is and yes you should have that right, but your right to use whatever drug you want is not automatic. It comes with certain responsibilities. Let's say you start eating 10 meals a day. Eventually you will get fat and you will probably get diabetes. Your body, right? Sure it is your body, but now who is going to pay for your medical insurance? You cannot work because you are too unwell. In the UK you would have to get some form of social security. There's going to be some people questioning why you got this way. They will blame you and they will also blame other people for not speaking out and helping you. Some will begrudge you any help at all. So rights comes with responsibilities. You have a right to do whatever you want with your body, but this comes with a price and some people in society have a vested interest in ensuring you don't have an automatic right to do what you want with your own body. And those vested interests have just as much right as you have.

If cannabis becomes legal it will be so because the government sanctions it and only on the basis of economics: i.e., that it's benefits will include some net public worth, i.e, killing cancer, treating depression, pain management, etc. As for its recreational use, the government who sanctions that will not be in power for very long.

Full legalisation is too much to change. It will upset the cannabis economy massively. What we have in the UK is the best of both worlds. Police do not waste their time chasing after dealers and we do not imprison people for simple possession, like is the case in much of America. Decriminalisation for medicinal use is a very good idea however. The government need to write legislation to make it a legal and standard practice for general practitioners to be able prescribe cannabis for the people who will benefit from it's use.

I used to live in Spain, and since the decriminalisation I noticed a great decrease in the crime rate and number of fines and prison time, they should do the same in England where I live now, theres no point in putting so many people in prison and financial burden that just leads them to commit to more crimes in the future.

It also helps me living with dystonia. The cbd that holland and barrets sell is just not strong enough as it tries to stick to strict restrictions.

I agree with much said here, but I don't agree with the idea of if it's legalised only being used as a last resort. I'm not saying Chuck weed at anything but why make a patient go through maybe several year of potentially, painful debilitating medicines before allowing them access, it should be an option from the get go

Didn't you hear that cannabis was legalized for medical use on the 1st of november 2018? I got my prescription 8 months ago. now I have 60 grams of 22%THC pure indica and 20%THC 80/20 sativa/indica a month to get through. it's not cheap but it's better than being addicted to morphine
@Dave-rm1mb6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if going as far as selling it in shops is a good idea although they should definitely allow people to grow their own in the privacy of their own home. It would kill off the black market issue and the potential for the profits to go to those who want to do this country harm. It wouldn't surprise me if people in high places have their grubby little hands in the market which is why there's such a huge resistance to changing the laws in the UK among the ruling classes.

In my view it seems they are uncomfortable with the approach and implications of recreational use in addition to medicinal, it only takes a look outwards at how other country's and cultures that accept it in specific ways to learn what is the best approach.

As someone who is underage obtaining weed is a lot easier than obtaining alcohol so having it be illegal versus putting it behind an age barrier. Is quite frankly stupid. Just legalise it. Regulate it

It's time to legalise a B class pain killer, when a A class pain killer like alcohol is not needed! We don't want mimicked b class drugs.
