Another possible solution is to have the station next to the midway, and have the coaster go under the road with the rest of the layout on the other side. They could easily get away with shutting the road down for a few weeks to drop precast concrete sections into place.

I like the idea of a dueling Intamin Hot Racer for Cedar Point to get in 2026 if Six Flags would continue working with Intamin again after giving Over Georgia the world’s first Ultra Surf coaster

This idea for CP appeared in my dream last night but I doubt that something similar will ever be built anywhere: Replace Magnum with an Intamin Exa Coaster that would break Falcon’s Flight’s height and speed records called Magnum Exa-L 500. The layout would look something like this: 400 ft lift hill in the same spot as Magnum’s lift hill Turn into LSM launch that boosts the ride to 200+ mph 500+ ft Velocicoaster style top hat that replaces Magnum’s turn and part of the RV ground Long tunnel/straight track section that goes along the grass strip in between CPS and the beach 1-2 airtime hills to pay homage to Magnum Twisty section in between CPS and Hotel Breakers that eventually leads into the existing break run area Estimated budget: $120 m Me along with every other CP fanboy would like to see a visualization of a realistic coaster concept that would outdo Falcons Flight at the park. Would it be possible if u discuss this in a future vid?

CP could *definitely* use a launched family coaster, though! If Vekoma is working on an improved motorbike trainset, a jet-ski themed coaster would fit in well by the marina. (Can't expect Intamin to be involved, but that would be awesome if they were)

I think a replacement for Cedar Creek Mine Ride with something from Vekoma like Big Bear Mountain or even Colorado Adventure/Big Thunder Mountain (also both Vekoma and more directly a mine train ride) would be perfect. Big Bear Mountain style with decent theming would be great. There's enough room, particularly with nothing out on the island now, you could cross the river if needed.

As a docker at Cedar Point marina, I'd hate to see parking get removed. Parking at this end of the marina is very difficult as it is. Removing more would be a nightmare for dockers on piers 11-14.

Yes, that side of the marina fills up every weekend. While there tends to be some parking available in the marina lots south of Famous Daves, it is quite a walk to get to the piers near the vacant lot. Dockers always have things to lug to their boats...food, luggage, family. It would be tough to do. This also includes the overflow lot next to Millennium Force. It makes for a tough walk to the boats.

With Cedar Point now having essentially 3 marinas (Cedar Point, Castaway Bay, and Sawmill Creek) I wondered if they might consider adding more docks in the southern part of the marina for the Castaway Bay and Sawmill Creek boater to have daytime dock space while at the park. they could take over the amenities by the Boat House restaurant and new amenities could be built on the land in question. They could also create a shuttle lane and turn around by the marina entrance so that the guests in the southern portion of the marina could be dropped off at the gate. For what they pay for annual dockage, I'd expect them to be catered too a little more.

Another great video and thank you for the shoutout. I don't think they would reroute the road. I'm actually in the portion of the marina and there already isn't enough parking. They could relocate the parking to the HR area but that would be a long haul to get to your boat. I'm not sure the the revenue stream comparison between marina income and income from a new coaster. But they definitely would lose income stream from the marina if they did that. That's at minimum $3k per slip, plus fuel, food and whatever marina people spend on food and drinks in the park and at the 2 marina restaurants. I think a bridge or even better a tunnel like they use to have at the back entrance would work well. Not sure why they ever got rid of that tunnel, much safer and kept traffic moving.

It's a nice plot of land with extra room out on the island if needed, if themed well enough it would greatly elevate the area and provide a much needed family coaster with a low 39" height requirement in the back of the park.

Another point you brought up is how big the space is. You could be seeing moving the road, and half of the land being for park expansion. It is worth noting that they are planning on reinstating regular water transit and ferry services at the old public terminal that now is being used for Famous Dave's Restaurant. A new waterfront public walk-space for this and the marina makes some sense. New lakefront condos and a hotel makes sense for one side of the peninsula as well. ~Sean of Detroit

Hear me out though: no straddle coasters at Cedar Point lately. I know Intamin sort of leads the industry there but Vekoma also has them! I hope it’s a flying coaster or an extreme spinner, but I think a straddle coaster would be great if they do a more family oriented attraction. I do think that a GCI won’t come until Gemini is taken down. I think GCI would do great with a plot that size.

Although I would prefer it done in the middle of the Millennium island, and perhaps a flyer like you mentioned by the docks. I would love a 4D dark ride like the new design from S&S. I wouldn't be surprised if Cedar Point would look to put something indoor up by the new Boardwalk and Grand Pavilion. Potentially looking to fill up the offseason months with more attractions like what they've been doing with Winter Chill Out and the new Eclipse event. Would provide another attraction to take our money in the winter months

I don't believe that CP will eliminate the parking closest to the marina. if the perimeter road runs parallel to the dock parking then diagonally thru the HR building, The impact to Famous Dave's bus pickup area would be minimal. The marina entrance would also need to be moved. I personally use this marina area, and don't think CP would fully eliminate this parking lot or entrance.

I mentioned the Jet Ski idea in another comment. I know no one wants to lose coasters, and everyone thinks Cedar Point is already fully built up. But look at kiddie kingdom. I think with planet and camp snoopy kiddie kingdom is horribly unnecessary. That area would fit a decent sized wooden coaster. Brandon, drop Boardwalk Bullet in that plot. It fits like a glove. I think a moderate sized wooden coaster would be perfect to expand the boardwalk! Boardwalk Big Dipper. Classic coaster for the theme

I don’t think Knott’s has had that many issues with Hangtime. It’s almost always running just fine when I am there on my regular visits. 🤷🏻‍♂️ That being said, I don’t think they need that at Cedar Point. They need a dark ride. Possibly an indoor coaster. Something with a haunted theme. Not like DarKoaster. Something way better.

I'd still rather see a GCI replace CCMR. There's so much more space there and on the island - besides, this marina plot is too close to Blue Streak. Wedging the Iron Dragon stage into the former Matterhorn & Troika area doesn't make much sense for guest flow, especially with TT2 drawing hordes into that midway. And a Mack XSC would be awesome, but I don't see Cedar Point getting another spinning coaster just a few years after Wild Mouse.

All sounds good but this park is SEVERELY LACKING flat rides. The stage Midway leading to the CP & LE RR, at one time had several great flat rides here: Dodgem II, Super Himalaya, Bayern Kurve, Schwabinchen, Western Cruise, Monster, and Frontier Lift. Granted some of those rides got removed or relocated, but this area of the park DESPERATELY needs something (but NOT ANOTHER GODDAMNED RESTAURANT!) Flat rides like the ones at Carowinds and Canada's Wonderland are big draws, offers multiple repeat ridership, has little to no downtime, and would make a great addition. The two new flat rides for 2023 at Kings Island GREATLY improved the traffic and looks to that park location. The same SHOULD be considered for the 'flagship' park. And, Six Flags parks have some GREAT flat rides at their parks.

Also if attendence next season comes in flat due to what most see as a recesion season i feel any new major coasters may be on the back burner. I would love it if CP got a Mack xtreme spinning coaster and it would be an amazing addition to the coaster collection. I can't believe I'm saying this, but they should add an intense wooden coaster instead. It would fill a hole in the line up left by the conversion of Mean Streak. A Gravity Group coaster with the precut track on the MF island would be awesome. Another model I would like to see at CP is an S&S axis coaster. It looks amazing and would offer a unique experience at the park. I don't want KI to lose out on awesome coaster models so I want to see the Mack xtreme spinning coaster here. The former Vortex plot would be the perfect location. The other model I would like to see is a Vekoma tilt coaster. A unique way to give KI it's first verical drop and it's a great visual. A good area to show it off is at the front of the park in the Congo Falls area. That would get people excited for the day. F.L.Y. looks awesome and I would love a Vekoma flying dutchman at one of these parks. I'm leaning KI just to give them another stand out coaster. It's hard to make a good dark ride so I really don't want one at CP. I feel like a dark ride wouldn't fit in with the ride collection and the building would be an eyesore. Plus it would take up too much valuable space.

A Mack extreme spinner is honestly the best option for a park like CP that wants to break records, and do things not many places do. The best thing is they are proven, Mack is proven and CP loves proven combinations. They take safe chances. The fact that the only two in existence are in Europe and and about 12 hours away, its a no brainer. I would love to see a GCI woody as well as I love Mystic, but thats only 3 hours away and I am banking on they plan to build a racing GCI when Gemini ends its run.

Corkscrew needs to go first. I think a Gerstlauer Infinity would fit in that area especially with Matterhorn and Scrambler being relocated. CP also needs a GCI wooden coaster. It's a huge void in their lineup. I would love a Mach Extreme Spinner in the marina location. Ride to Happiness on steroids would be amazing. It would also bring in the guests. This merger which still scares me, is going to put some things behind and change plans for the parks. I just hope that they don't name these attractions after DC comics characters

I'm sure Cedar Point works on at least a tentative 5 year plan if not a 10 year plan. COVID obviously disrupted that. But they definitely have plans in the works well before their next project is completed even if those plans aren't set in stone. I really love the idea of a dark ride for Cedar Point. They don't need a Disney, Universal or Efteling type of attraction but a nicely done boardwalk type dark ride like Haunted Castle at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Haunted Mansion and Knoebels or TerrorRide at Lagoon would fit in very well and be super popular. Or maybe something similar to the legendary Monster Mansion at Over Georgia.

CP wont be receiving a new coaster for like 5 years after this new merger news. Wild Mouse was a terrible addition. Really crappy ride. They need some good new small rides. They have shelved so many. In the 2000’s CP had more rides than it does as of now.

SF and CF are in merger talk. If people would read, it states that SF shareholders has to approve it by the end of the first quarter of 2024. So right now, it's just talk. I see more of a Copperhead Strike coaster fitting in that area. I do agree they need a dark ride and that area would be perfect and taking Perimeter Road and rerouting it around it. As for corkscrew, they should have Vekoma replace the track and have newer cars with the OG bodystyle and paint scheme.

Good video and analysis!! Here's a thought regarding Top Thrill 2. I wonder if it's possible that CP could turn around the trains on TT2 on special occasions. Imagine riding TT2 in reverse and experiencing a full roll back on the top hat.

@@WBendolph Yes, given the sophisticated launch systems on the trains and configuration of the ride, it would not happen. Cedar Fair turned around the trains on the backward Racer at Kings Island, and they had the Racer south operate in reverse for several years before they acquired the park, so no, this would NEVER happen.

@WBendolph The amount of problems with that thing in the first place, the anticipated problems it will experience once it is open and the 'normal' way it's supposed to run, combined with the maintenance headache it will generate, capacity and logistics issues, YES it is impossible, not feasible, and the thing is slated to go forward and backward, this DEFINITELY will NOT HAPPEN. As a side note, I worked at Cedar Point for 5 seasons, and the amount of hairbrained stuff we heard from people could fill books.
