This channel should be one of the top RV channels on here. Very informative and original information. Unfortunately, dealerships have caught on to the great profit margin and have begun to ruin the product by having a $10/hr guy spray wax it and charge the customer thousands. I contracted for dealerships for 10 years and saw it all of the time. There are good dealers out there though, just like anything. The direct to customer model will be something to look forward to in the near future. Love this channel! Keep up the great work.

The most truthful, realistic “expose” of RV protectants I’ve ever seen. I 100% agree. My experiences and opinions match yours exactly. My neighbors paid $6000 to ceramic coat their 42’ RV and still have to do regular wash/re-coat service by hand using their special upkeep product that seems to be the same as the Turtle Wax ceramic spray you note in the video. And YES, that’s the exact product I’ve been using for 3 years on my RV, it’s very affordable, when I need more I just pick it up at Walmart, and it keeps my 40’ right shiny and easy to clean. Costs me about $40 year … saves me $6000. Great video, many thanks.

Nice video. I'm a HUGE fan of the Gyeon products. Not the fancy ceramic one, but the ceramic wash Bathe+. Doesn't last longer than 2, maybe 3 months max, but it's so simple that using it everytime I wash keeps it looking great. I also use their ceramic spray wash too for maintenance. RV and truck both.

That sounds like a great approach. I need to try Gyeon. I did use the Turtle Wax Ceramic Wash and Rinse (3 in 1) and found it to be great at cleaning. Thanks for watching and commenting n

This was very informative. I was ready to dish out some big money for a 5 year ceramic coating. What products do you use to wash and wax your RV? Do you use something different for the cap?
@TreeTalkerTheTraveler15 күн бұрын
Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching and commenting. I applied a ceramic coating with graphene to cap and front of RV. I did not have it professionally done and know it will not last as long. This is where it gets hit the hardest by dirt and bugs and so wanted it to be easier to clean. My cap is also black so I wanted to avoid water spots. In the rest of the camper I just wash and then use the spray version I showed in video about every other wash. Mainly because it’s easy and has good UV protection. It also makes it easier to clean. A full professional cleaned, prepped and coated is great and would be better, but only if worth the cost to you for the difference. I clean my RV often and don’t mind spending time adding the extra step (technically suppose to do even with professional coating) so the cost of a Professional coating just isn’t there for me.

Good video but I do have to disagree with your assertion of ceramic coatings only lasting about a year. I personally use the Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic on my truck and my boat. I polished the paint on my truck when I bought it new and applied 2 coats of the Adam's I mentioned and it still looks new with a ton of beading and paint clarity. On my boat, I compounded and polished the gel coat and applied 2 coats as well and it has held up extremely well even though it only sees saltwater. I do not use a "topper" on either my truck or boat. I simply wash with a quality soap and dry. Don't be afraid of ceramic or graphene coatings. They are very good and definitely FAR outlast any type of wax or sealants.

If possible please film a video of you wash and waxing your RV. I’d very much like to see how someone who is seasoned does this. I’m going to start doing washes and waxes to my G.

Graphene Is not possible to put in a spray for said usage.
@TreeTalkerTheTraveler15 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. Agree 100% if wanting best coating that last as long as possible, like I mentioned in the video spray versions of ceramic or ceramic with graphene are likely diluted. That’s because of cost and to make it thin enough to work with a cheap spray bottle. While anything liquid can in theory be sprayed graphene is normally thicker and more Concentrated in the “detailing bottles” so if looking for the best effectiveness and longest lasting option (and if worth the cost to you) you would not want to use the spray but the small”detailing” bottles evenly applied by hand. With that said, many companies make a spray option, like Adam’s, and claim that it has good effectiveness close to the traditional versions. I’m doubtful. But in fairness I have not tested it to verify. Excellent point and Thanks again!

How do these compare to a professional Ceramic type RV application like the one done by Bob Moses using Sensha from Japan ? Not cheap but supposed to be superior.
@TreeTalkerTheTraveler15 күн бұрын
The better quality of product and, more importantly, the better preparation and application the more likely to have a good bond. The better the bond the longer it can potentially last. Thus more likely to exceed that 12 month expectation and maybe even get a chance of 2-3 years (or more) depending on use case, climate, type of storage (garage or not) and if doing proper maintenance cleaning and additional protection application. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Bob Moses and their sensha product is the best hands down. I’ve had a few different high end, proper ceramics on my vehicles and the Moses and sensha process is by far the best. You can’t even smash the left over hardened sensha with a hammer.
