You guys make great videos. Well done. In my case, I’ll never go back to using old school wax coatings. Ceramic is just so much easier to maintain and much easier to keep the boat clean.

Very good video. I would add a third option to the mix. I personally use a spray ceramic on my boat and have found it's a perfect option for the DIYer and I usually get around 6-9 months of protection. Prep is still the key though to a great finish that'll last.

I use spray ceramic on our 28 contender! I’ve been very impressed with how it holds up on the interior of the boat. On the exterior, I find that it acts similar to a a wax because after a trip or two it’s mostly gone.

Just had my boat ceramic coated. So Far extremely happy! And was only $50 a foot. I'm in the Florida Panhandle.

Hey quick question when they ceramic coated your boat did they ceramic coat the entire bottom of your hull?
@toddwatkins85018 күн бұрын
@OctaneRed392 no, I didn't ask for that. I probably should have though. Probably costs extra I would imagine.

Its all gonna depend on the customer and what they want to spend. Ceramic coating is always the way to go if you want to take car of your investment. Some people just dont see the point of spending 600,800,1k or more to ceramic coat a car or boat or RV because they dont understand the process. Me being a detailer see it time to time.

I sort of agree AND disagree on one point, having a pro install your ceramic. Yes, they CAN do it better, IF you get the right person/crew. On the other hand, IF you have the time, and the patients (I'm loaded with both), it is fine to do your own, even better if you enjoy that sort of thing. As a side, I don't think they dispute that, I'm just saying.

True! But I’d say on average, the professionals do a better job than the typical DIY. If you have the time, go for it! I’ve actually had pretty good luck with the DIY spray on ceramic for the interior of my boats where there isn’t as much wear and tear!

@@DerekVanHook yeah, and don't get me wrong, who doesn't prefer doing other things and let them take care of it. I am sadly, at a point, where I talk more, than do, home projects. And I admit, the jobs that get done--are more often than not, the ones I pay for. PLUS, while the boat is in the shop, sure enough, I have them take care of other things AND things they notice that I missed--some of them serious.
