I never cared for chanel and I never will. Everything about this brand and its lack of ethics since its inception just turned me off. So, I became a Gucci /Prada girl. I was 19 when I got my fist Gucci and I still wear it.

Great deals on those bags. Im not a fan of Chanel, but hopefully someone will snag one. Also, seeing your bag collection pages made me think of having an edit for jewelry (if you haven't already thought of that). Would be great for insurance purposes, maybe a section for a receipt; also nice for someone who eventually is handed down any jewelry pieces. Have a great day!

Great video. Seriously doubt I will ever buy another Chanel bag in store due to price and quality. I doubt I'll even buy another preloved, but I would never say never there.

I actually have the "Cream with pink diamond stitching" bag. The leather is closer to pink in real life. But it's definitely a "creamy pink".

OMG Autumn! I bought bag number 2 on your list yesterday. I love the vertical stitch Chanel flaps and this is my 3rd. I also have the same size in red and the jumbo in black.

Chanel was over for me in the 80s. I refused to do their dance then and now I'm an old lady, they have to pay me to wear their old lady flap bag. Mad respect to you for keeping on top of all these items. If I shopped hard like that more accidents would be living on my shelves ;-D

Chanel discontinued using 24k gold plating in 2008 and since then use gold-toned hardware instead which of course is a big quality issue, because the ‘gold’ will fade away over time. A part from that there are other quality issues such as poor stitching and bags where the flap is not symetrical. Personally, I’d be very careful when buying a Chanel flap.

Funny you mentioned buying Birkin in lieu of Chanel because I’m seeing more Hermes unboxings lately. There’s still some Chanel bags in my list but will never pay boutique prices.

$12K, I only paid $14K for my car, I can’t imagine spending almost that for a purse. Even if I had that laying around I’d still probably buy a fake and take a vacation with the rest. I do love the look but I don’t think it’s worth it at all.

I have my Chanel card holder and that is it for me. Not a challenging decision for me, even though I like their bags, The Reissue in particular, because I am aware that they do not suit me at all. (Which is probably not even true, maybe just a 'man thing' again!) I would love a Birkin, but I am too cheap to pay for it. Last year I found one in a pre-loved boutique for AUD$13,000, that is under USD$10,000! And it was in beautiful condition! I just could not bring myself to spend that much money on a bag! I cannot imagine any circumstances under which I would buy a brand new Chanel. Even wealthy people are baulking, as you have rightly noticed. Thank you for the video!

I think if I ever were to buy more Chanel, it would be preloved, but I might actually be at Chanel purse peace. I actually never owned a Chanel bag before last autumn (bought preloved), and since then, I have bought my 3 Chanel “dream bags” (last one arrives next week) on the preloved market. No in-store games, cheaper prices generally. Makes sense to me.
