It's a true blessing that this industry has has a handful of good, honest reviewers who understand electrical theory that can be counted on to present a thorough review of products in this category, and Jason is one of them. Otherwise it would just be a shot in the dark to purchase anything pertaining to solar and energy storage. They should always be supported, thanks

It appears to be an outstanding price for what you get. Unfortunately, my experience with AllPowers put them on my Do Not Buy list. My R600 died suddenly and I was unable to get through to their support about it. A small folding solar panel I had from them was also defective, with its voltage too low to charge my phone (around 4.8V iirc). Excellent video; I just don't trust this particular company.

That's a couple of people who have mentioned experiences like this on the video. Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely take note.

I bought 3 AllPowers Monster S2000 and 2 S600. AllPowers always have good specs for the price compared to the competitors. Unfortunately, 2 out of the 3 Monster S2000 failed and the last one doesn’t solar charge. Pretty much all are bricked. These supposedly had lifetime warranties but I never get a reply from support. I would never recommend AllPowers especially if you depend on these for emergencies

The word is out on Allpowers. They've cut their own throat.

While this isn't the news I like to hear, I really appreciate you sharing your experiences in the comments section about their customer support. I feel this is common with these smaller brands.

Thanks for the thorough and well planned review. Your unit did test pretty well. I think that the R series may be a decent value if you buy them at a big enough discount. Just don’t count on any post sale support
@Jasonoid3 сағат бұрын
@@JohnReyes-dz7gr the R series models are definitely an upgrade over their older generation. The specs are quite better too.

Completely agree. I even bought their huge 4000r unit. Looked so impressive even voice controlled but fans actually burnt out in the middle of night.

I was really wanting to purchase the larger R2500 as it has the size of inverter and battery for my need and also includes the 30a RV plug. Was really disappointed when it didn't didn't come with a UPS feature. Any idea if using a line conditioner would help with this? I ask because my home's pellet stove won't run off my Bluetti EB70S without one, so I can only assume that it's output isn't squeaky clean.

I reviewed the AllPowers R2500 and definitely confirmed it has UPS mode, I tested it HERE: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f17Li59qj6uYmrcsi=rBBgqAIu6sEVa0GV&t=471

I have their 299 wh generator and 140 kw solar panel. The generator stopped charging VIA all sources within 6 months with light use. I contacted them(Chinese). I had to send them a video showing them it was not charging. They let me keep the broken one and they sent me a new. Same thing happened with the solar panel. It would only generate 40kw on the sunniest of sunny days. Same process, same results.

The New Montek X1200 (LFP, 2,500cycles) has a 15A cig socket, as does the X2000 (NMC, 1,500cycles).

Thanks for the heads up, I hope to see it on all brands just like we see fast AC wall charging and UPS mode now. It needs to be a standard feature. 10 amps isn't enough.

Having some experience with Allpowers, i'd have to question the longevity of these products. I don't have hundreds of dollars to waste on something that could wind up an expensive brick.

My thoughts as well. I have heard good and bad about these units. Which is why I will probably spend a little bit more up front and go with the PECRON E1500LFP Expandable Portable Power Station 2200W 1536Wh, it's on sale for $619. I already have it's little brother and it has been rock solid for a few years now.

They have totally redesigned the units I actually reached out to them having had a nightmare with 4 other units. They told me they have changed the 2 Major issues of the fans and MPPT problems
@sun-sea-solar3 сағат бұрын
I like your channel. Seems a strict testing process. BUT having trusted and tested 4 allpowers unit that i purchased purely on big trusted channels. The unit especially the mppt and fans were truly awful. For instance clicking relays, trying hard to start the mppt.
@Jasonoid3 сағат бұрын
I didn't hear relays in this unit when solar charging, even when using a low solar voltage. I know their older "S" units had issues with solar charging but this newer generation seemed to work well.
@sun-sea-solar3 сағат бұрын
@Jasonoid that's what all powers said when I emailed them. I want to like the new units they've always offered good value but some things can't be ignored. Crappy fans and MPPT
@Jasonoid3 сағат бұрын
@sun-sea-solar if you want the best solar performance on these units and quiet fans, you can't go with a budget unit. There are definite sacrifices going with a cheaper unit. They don't give a crap about how loud their fans are... They seem to just install the cheapest server fans.
@sun-sea-solar2 сағат бұрын
@Jasonoid normally I would agree about budget power stations but after having the fossibot f2400 and sit it next to my Bluetti ac200max (which is nearly 2 years old) the fossibot actually seems silent in comparison. That fossibot was only £679 here in the UK compared to £1199 of the ac200max

I love the capacity to inverter ratio this unit offers. Love the 95V charging capacity. I do wish it could power a diesel heater and agree that the 12V should support 15 amps. Do you know if you are using it as a UPS while connected to a Fridge and the power goes out if it will automatically turn on the inverter if it was discharged to zero. I know that the Delta 2 and the Delta Max will restart automatically if they were discharged to zero and when the power comes on it will start the fridge again once the unit has charged to 5%. You do have to program it in the apps on your phone though. As always, great testing information. Merry Christmas Jason.
@Jasonoid3 сағат бұрын
Merry Christmas! This model doesn't support turning the AC inverter back on automatically once power is restored. You'd have to manually turn on the AC inverter via the smart app.

There are just so many of these power stations coming out just like LiFePO4 battery brands almost all from Asia. In fact, there is one called the Oscal 3600 Powermax that is being advertised as an Echo Flow killer for a thousand less. Like batteries, prices are dropping like crazy. Great for the consumer. I think many of these are just relabeled as they are starting to look the same.
@Jasonoid3 сағат бұрын
I havent seen any models that look like a 'clone' of this one in particular. Usually the clones try to mimic Ecoflow units.

Compares will with bluetti ac-180 which has 1800W AC output, 500W solar input, and 1152ah battery and is $480. So $422 for this is nice!

The specs are slightly better than the EcoFlow Delta 2, the Anker C1000, and the Bluetti AC180 so I'm interested to see what my viewers experience has been with AllPowers models / customer service.

I need 2.1x5.5mm dc outputs. All major brands don't give you these ports which is a shame.

Pecron seems to be the only brand that wants to keep all the DC ports on their power stations, including the high DC output options.

The ac noise is probably from a noisey switching power supply inside.
