Completely agree. Even her tuti fruity outfit was perfect for the character. Meenus immaturity comes out here as well as when she overdresses to go shopping in the blue outfit/ the cinderella dress for the resteraunt. When she's at home she's just being herself but on these three occasions she's trying to project an image and goes ott - it's endearing. Even her nikkah dress (giving Glinda the good witch of the North vibes) was adorable. I appreciate the effort ayeza put into this character much like she's done in her other projects too.

Wese I connected slowly with Ishq jalebi but now I'm picking up n really enjoying the story. I absolutely agree with Aamna's views on zoya's character n dressing sense. It's really not up to the mark. I mean look at meenu.. How well has ayeza portrayed meenu! Impressive!
@aliyabawany24443 жыл бұрын
Not up to the mark? Pfft. It is so classist and superficial to compare clothing so everything is according to your taste and standard. Something Haute sounds absolutely elitist sometimes approaching model cum actors for interviews because they dress tastefully. Wardrobe selection is of prime importance to them in a character sketch whereas it matters the least. I had a feeling when Amna called Zoya annoying from the first episode before the character even got the chance to boss her husband, that there was an issue with the actor's overall appeal and her unwilling attitude to grooming herself for marriage and homemaking. With Amna ka fashion se gehra taaluq, I accept Alizeh has made some fashion blunders with her formal and bridal selections in the past especially in one Fashion Pakistan Week where she wore this peacock black and gold dress and the fact that she was the cover girl for Kashi's Bridals in the past. But she is growing as an actor. She started out very young. Anything less than the adornments of Amna's favorite fashion icons on the screen and the character becomes a sore thumb. If you are your usual selves around what you perceive as poorly dressed people in real life, how do you behave? Zoya is an ordinary middle-class girl. Life is more meaningful than the fabric on your body but you use it to judge people. Somehow, with how miser Meenu's father is, how she accesses his piggy bank to get some money and has no stream of personal income she shouldn't exhibit such amazing variety in her outfits. But because she wanted a designer outfit for her Nikkah, we can assume that Meenu's funky taste is hers and hers alone, and she put together her wardrobe. It does not add up in her character but at least she looks like a package. It is exactly because Kiran Haq from Fitoor knows "pehne orhne ka dhung" that despite being utterly unlikable, spoilt, and entitled from day one, she doesn't get half as much of the criticism that her character deserves.
@SadiaAbbas05113 жыл бұрын
@@aliyabawany2444 a couple of times I did come to think that perhaps Zoya is from middle class perhaps she can't afford designer lawn and outfits. But I'm not sure as I'm not watching the show regularly. Apart from the clothes I think Alizay is doing fine. Even her performance isn't bad at all
@aliyabawany24443 жыл бұрын
Who says designer lawn and outfits make you look photogenic? Who even made that a thing? Now "suitable" costume is no longer a requirement for a character, everyone just has to use their budget to look superb all the time. I like physically appealing qualities on screen but I know better than to put one actress down next to the other because the former wasn't raised/groomed/managed to be a show stopper. I won't argue that Zoya's engagement outfit was very cool and trendy and her baraat outfit was very attractive when I first saw it on Alizeh's Instagram because that is nothing to her credit. Recently critics have excessively shifted their focus towards showing an effort to arrange a good wardrobe. First, the reviewers could not put their finger on what was wrong with Zoya in the first episode, calling her annoying and deliberately ignoring her strong points, just because the girl sported a shoulder-length haircut challenging norms of feminity and made clear her "unnecessary" demands delaying marriage. Then in the middle, she was an ungrateful wife who did not in the goodness of her heart cave into pressure and kind behavior, as if the couple had been married for forty years. Now, we have finally figured out the fact that her poor dressing is very distracting and the worst thing for a fashion critic. Maybe this will force Zoya to step down her high horse and practice compassion. I think the label of best dressed is more last season than a rich bride wearing a cheap-looking kangan that flashes mirrors, or a small paper chit carrying a palace inhabitant's number, which is "an absolute deal-breaker and takes away from the enjoyment of viewership". I couldn't believe how fast Ramsha's character in Shehnai was elevated in their eyes because upon looking closer, the girl finally looked rich enough for her part, with her winged eyeliner, something she could not manage to with her attire an episode before.

I am watching all 3 shows and find Ishq Jalebi indisputably the Best and I must say it hurts to see it not getting its deserved attention. Tana Bana is actually getting annoying, there is just no substantial plot. Only Daniyal made it bearable which isnt anymore sufficient to hook me to it, so I just might stop watching it. Chupke Chupke is good, but appears caricatured and loud at times. Ishq Jalebi has all my heart. Its realistic, relatable and gets emotional, sweet and funny all in one episode. The performances are natural and effortless. Wahaj and Madiha have a phenomenal chemistry. They are actually the cutest pair I have seen in recent times. The love that they have is what I would call true love and not the toxicity being glorified in khuda aur mohabbat. A love which has companionship, concern, when you know the person inside out with all the flaws but still long for each other. Ishq Jalebi is criminally underrated.

Her father fesses over them and she is just so incredibly alone in this. My heart lurched for her when she looked at her ‘father’ for reassurance before signing the nikah papers. Dunk: Loved loved loved the scene between Bilal and the little girl. I was not crying but my heart melted seeing him hug her. I loved how Laila Wasti's character confronted her husband. It was amazing to see her take a stand for Minal and the way she says 'kisi ki majaal Amal ko koi kuchh bolay'....seriously she spoke my heart out because Taya abba's obsession with Amal is getting on my nerves.....missed seeing Bilal and Sana in the same frame.....their chemistry is one of the strongest points of Dunk....can't wait to see the next episode where Amal accuses Haider of trying to molest her. Also the background score of Dunk is very impactful and plays at the most appropriate moments (I know many would disagree with me here) Ishq Jalebi:CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED DRAMA! The only Ramadan drama that I am watching right now....watched a bit of Chupke Chupke and Ayeza Khan is behaving like an overgrown, OTT teenager.....Hasan and Aamna you guys go gaga over Chupke Chupke simply because of the star power and frankly speaking Aamna your repetitive reminder of Ayeza Khan's oh-so-amazing styling is getting irksome now........and when it comes to Ishq Jalebi, Hasan spends more than 2 minutes criticizing how Mehmood Aslam is not taking off his tie.....no mention of the strong points of the drama.....just because it is a Ramadan drama that doesn't mean it has to be in-your-face funny....it has its comic moments.....its like you guys are doing an ehsaan on dedicating few moments to Ishq Jalebi.....BAD REVIEWING......the best part of Ishq Jalebi is no one 'tries to be funny'......in the natural flow of the characters' body language, expressions and dialogues, the humor feels 'in place'....that is why it is a laughing riot........especially the characters of Noor ul Hasan and Irsa Ghazal are AMAZING.....I literally wait for their interactions....their chemistry is so good and they are constantly reminding me of Aangan......so different from Hajra and Sajjad of Aangan yet the entertainment value is the same........I love love love the character of Sajjo and Aashiq Husain.....their comic timing is perfect......Hina Bayat, as always, won me over with her versatility.....compare her character to what she played in Churails and Zindagi Gulzar Hai and one couldn't help but marvel at the diversity she offers in the choices she makes.....then there is Qavi Sahab (another memory of Aangan) who is a established veteran.......his character is so funnily blunt (watching Tom and Jerry and Waheed Murad movies was such a sweet introduction to his softer side)......he is unfair to Basim and I find myself agreeing with Aashiq Husain when he stands up for his son yet at the same time I gush at his bonding with his other three grandchildren especially Bela.........Vicky and Esha are refreshing additions and playing their parts well..... Last but by no means the least, Wahaj Ali and Madiha Imam are FANTASTIC as the leads.....Madiha Imam nails her role like always....her roles in Mera Rab Waris and Ek Jhooti Love Story were so different.....she is so underrated.......her treatment of Bela is heartfelt despite having typical vibes.......to exhibit innoncence in a grown adult is not easy (either it is an overdose or it is lamely done) yet Madiha excels once again.....her chemistry with Hina Bayat and Qavi Khan is beautiful but it is her pairing with Wahaj Ali that stands out the most......as for the male lead, this is the first drama of Wahaj in which he hasn't disappeared after the 11th or 12th episode and I can't help but admire him for his top-notch portrayal of Basim....the layers of his character are brought out by Wahaj in the most convincing manner be that his jealousy at seeing Vicky with Bela or the way he is so frustrated at being treated unfairly or how he bluntly brings forth his stance before his father and grandfather or his soft, protective side for his mother and Bela.....all these aspects make Basim human....that is how real humans are.....with multiple shades and dimensions.....and Wahaj scores like a champion each single time........the actor playing Rocket is wonderful as well! This is my first time watching a Saima Akram Choudhary story and I admire her storytelling so much.......the direction is classy as well where you don't feel bored at all............the entertainment quotient never fades away...........all in all, a thorough family entertainer! Highly recommended!

Thaat scene in raqeeb se wen ameera is in maqsood sahb's room and he asked q ai h? .. she says pata nhi q ai hn, in such a chilling and reall adult way.. i mean that usual childlike expression she carries in routine was absolutely gone. She was suddenly a grown woman from a teenage girl. Kudos to iqra aziz for that scene

Raqeeb sei is criminally underrated. Ham har fuzool drama deikh leite hain, ratings kahan sei kahan pohancha deite hain. Laiken jou deikhna chahye woh nae deikhtei. The characterization, screen play and the performances. Every single person outdid himself. Is qadar khoobsoorat drama. No loop holes. One even feels sympathy for Rafique Ali. I truly think it's a classic and I'm sad about the fact that it isn't getting the fame it deserves.

Chupke Chupke is the most entertaining drama I can even watch one episode more times. However I do like Ishq Jalebi too as it is an amazing mix of comedy, love, family and social values. It is very well written and well executed play. In Chupke chupke, Gul aapa is a negative character with a sense of authority on everyone any way as she did not want his only brother to get married first but then it happened so she is not happy with it. Tana bana is OK but I find all the characters especially phupho very annoying. Not a good writing.
@aliya2ful3 жыл бұрын
Tana bana: in real life the girls are always tied down by a “ unwritten contract” that they must do everything their husbands want ( including keeping the lights on if the husband wants , to more serious forms of abuse)... The role reversal in this drama seems to bother many !

The problem is whenever they have to show a female character Taking a stand for education or career they turn that character into an annoying unreasonable person without any emotions. Jiya in Suno Chanda also had fairly right arguments in season 2 yet they turned her into a battamiz ladki, zaroon's mother in ZGH was tied into the same trope. I see Zoya being made into the bad guy whereas all her demands are so right. They could have said it better.

Couldn’t watch Wednesday’s haute bites on time. Now that I have , I am feeling so disappointed by Amna’s character analysis of Farhad. I didn’t expect Amna to: ___ fail to draw a line between a protagonist and a hero, in his case. ___ absolve Feedi of everything calling him a ‘silly boy’. ___ restrict harassment to sexual, only. ___ glorify a toxic character by calling him a hero. No one said that Farhad was a habitual harasser or stalker, but following Mahi to live at her residential premises, mentally disturbing the girl through repeated emotional blackmail, staring at her, cursing her for not reciprocating his love, to the extent of making her visibly worried and depressed, is clear harassment and borderline criminal. All this for exchanging pleasantries, extending a hand of friendship, ( not holding his hand). Amna having a soft corner for him, amounts to the general victim blaming mentality. Amna’s Gupshup with ZQ was a Gem, though. 😊
@sidrakafeel91603 жыл бұрын
Farhaad is such an immature and self obsessed character ...he claimed to be rhoo ka ashiq and now cursing Mahi for just being practical.. And hasan was right feroze heroic personality overshadowed farhaad and people has sympathies with him also writer and director tries to prove him innocent because every other characters in the story develops feeling for him...KAM3 is just a copy of 90s typical Bollywood movies to attack international viewers
@mahnoorqureshi32813 жыл бұрын
@@sidrakafeel9160 Yes, but wasn't expecting Amna to go to this extent to defend him. Total baseless, points raised by Amna. Feroze khan has mostly done similar roles and his personality, specially arrogance reflects in all of his characters. Feedi too despite being a useless loser, has this delusion that even a princess cannot say no to him. One can see this "akar' in him the way he treated Naheed even. I seriously want to slap him contrary to Amna who has a soft corner for him.😄 Instead of feeling sympathy, I find Feedi irritating and obnoxious. @@theonewithbrains192 nae that was not my point, he is a flawed person, an abuser, an alcoholic and a cheater which is definitely unforgivable and I indeed condemn such behaviour. What he did in the marriage reflects on his flawed character and tells why the marriage failed.

Chupke chupke is like a fresh breeze.. Initially I had the same view (read: the common mentality) that Ayeza is such a misfit for this role. She is not young to behave like such a bubbly university girl, she is overacting, but Oh my God, look at her expressions, the flawless and natural acting which shows how much she has worked for it.. I can't even think she's the same who was in thora sa haq, meherposh, mpth.. And this is her success! She truly has proven me wrong, and I am fan of her now! 💗 not only her, all characters of Chupke chupke are *ek se barh kar ek* ! Miskeen bhai is totally out of the character of salman, and he is really amazing. And Arslan urf Hadi, ufff, he is my crush now ❤❤ bebey, amma, kifayat, mirchi and kaddu..
