Technically you get less usage on Claude than GPT4o. With OpenAI you are downgraded to 3.5 when you run out of GPT4 messages, in Claude pro I get locked out until my new messages are available. Anthropic need to do something similar.

Local models are the way to go for advanced users. But most people will prefer the simple UIs of ChatGPT & Claude

The main reason is usage limits, if you are a dev may be worth it to have both or lean towards claude

@@RyanDoserAI I am testing claude 3.5 as a experienced programer right now. The biggest question is not claude vs gpt, as they are different. So far sonnet seems very very productive, and so is ChatGpt for that matter

Honestly for me Claude 3.5 Sonnet is 5x better than gpt 4-o, the reason I bought pro is because I already have 3 free account and I always ran out of free usage. It's just too good for writing code.

@@francisconogales2644 I did when I started using projects and start adding lots of files in my project like upto 20% and then start having long conversation it did gave me the limit warning but the key is to summarize the chat and start over

Just one single tip Ryan, PLEASE turn that intro stinger audio down at the start of your video. Audio for the rest of the video is level and crisp but I almost switched off when my ears were almost blown out. It's about 75% louder than the rest of your video and MUST be a turn off for people wearing headphones/earphones. (Check your analytics and see how many leave within the first 10 seconds) And it's a shame as the rest of the video is good.

Copilot is at a sophomore level in the foundations of physics. Claude is at a postgraduate level in this subject - conventional vs mathematical integrity.

Can't disagree with that. Microsoft's model inside Copilot has a long ways to go but not terrible for a free option.

I will say i've used both at work for quite complex tasks, gpt 4o is quite annoying, many times it outputs code that is the same as before (I asked for changes), Claude is more intuitive, creative, great instruction following and the speed really makes a difference. I have no proof, but its just a feeling 4o overall seems more intelligent, but its personality and instruction following is worse. Also bing chat is good for simple tasks, would not recommend anyone actually use that if your a heavy chatbot user - its very slow and its obvious they are still using gpt4 or 4 turbo with even more restrictions making the llm less intelligent.

is there any reasons i would go from GPT to claude when claude doesnt have access to the internet ? from what the LLM says , the training data ends in 2023 so it would be lacking knowledge of certain libraries for programming that have been updated recently or created recently

Great question and that is one of the big flaws I mention when comparing ChatGPT Plus to Claude Pro - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZLcn32vpqh7ftUsi=VBvN78OoYOuVI0N- But I love using Claude for repurposing content and cloning my writing style with Projects. Claude 3.5 Sonnet sounds more "humanized" and empathetic in its outputs compared to GPT-4 models IMO.

gpt has that too ?? u can make custom gpt with your files and gpy implementation is better. claude uses your documents als tokens in chat gpt doesnt. so if you got lot of documents and u gut 200k context windows with your documents. you cant even talks to claude anymore

Sorry, didn't watch your video but had to chip in on the title. No. Usage limits are too low on pro. Also lack of other common features. Claud 3.5 is great, but can't use it enough to really get use of it.

Hard to say without going behind the scenes of these AI companies. Keep in mind it is not cheap to produce the energy needed for generative AI.

Keeping Claude Pro for a few months just to show my support for serious competition to ChatGPT, which I also pay for. I also like to run same queries on both to get a broader view, or have one AI dispute/improve the answer of the other.

Overall Claude is now a better deal that GPT-4o. I've just cancelled paying for GPT as it seems they will never release AV to all paid users. You can still use GPT-4 for free. Claude's projects are better than what OpenAI custom GPTs provide. The vision capability of Claude is far superior to GPT-4o. If you want graphs you can now do that in Claude. Things have changed in 2 months.

Completely agree with you. Biggest things Claude Pro is lacking right now is AI image generation and real-time web browsing. But my guess is those will come eventually. I appreciate you being here!

@@RyanDoserAI thanks. I was particularly impressed by Claude's vision. I have some 17th century wills in Latin from the National Archive (so scanned in black and white with shallow bit depth). Claude did an awesome job of both transcribing and translating. GPT-4o did a fair job. I'd say the errors in transcription for Claude were about 2% while more like 15% for GPT. Claude seems to have a much better understanding of context - so any words it did not recognise it guessed based on the surrounding words and the use in the sentence. GPT just seems to try and brute force its way through by choosing words it thinks the handwriting looks like - which are not always anywhere near correct.

​@@RyanDoserAI You mentioned Projects, but you didn't mention that Projects is quite similar to GPTs. Also, use the Stanford ratings, not the goofier LMSYS Chatbot Arena Leaderboard. The Stanford ratings place Claude 3.5 Sonnet in first place. This being said, I still prefer 4.0. But I also use 3.5 Sonnet -- and Gemini 1.5 Pro -- at least a dozen times each day ... on a slow day.

@@EssentiallyAI I'll check out the Stanford ratings. Either way the Hugging Face leaderboard is still a good resource. Yea GPT-4o and 3.5 Sonnet are close IMO. Just depends on your use case. 3.5 Sonnet excels at some areas above GPT-4o and vice versa.

Dall-E image generation is excruciatingly bad. Whenever I see someone with a thumbnail made with it, I cringe. The custom GPTs aren't any better. The writing in Chat GPT is so bad, that I don't use it anymore.

It's all subjective but I agree that these LLMs still hallucinate. Your best bet to avoid this is to install your own LLM locally and provide first-party data for training.
