Where I used to live I had a long, gentle downhill of about 8-10 km on my way to work, just the right incline so when I put it in neutral I'd coast down at ca 90KM/H. I drove that road 5 times a week for about two years, I wonder how much gas I saved over that time.

It's shouldn't make much difference as if there is no load on the engine it won't be using much if any fuel. An idling engine though, does use some fuel. It may save a tiny amount as you're not having to overcome the pumping losses of the engine which leads to engine braking which would then be overcome by adding fuel. If the hill was so gentle that engine braking would have slowed you down then there may be a fuel saving.

@@ConquerDriving Yeah, that was precicely the thing, the hill was so perfect that it was barely accelerating me in neutral but in gear I'd have to give a bit of gas the whole time. Don't know how much money it actually saved me but it may have saved the engine some wear

My car burns oil during engine braking so I have to drive in neutral every time going downhill or else I leave a smoke screen :(

I've not heard of an engine only burning oil during engine braking before.

Should you decelerate though the gears or block change what is best for the test

They don't mind on the test as long as you drive well.

What if i try stop the car when it's above 1000rpm with clutch and break will it stall?

If the clutch is down it won't stall.

Haha, I think the camera makes me look younger. BTW I've been teaching in this car for 5 years now and 135,000 miles of learners beating it up but still drives as good as the day I bought it new. Good car.

Not necessarily, you will most likely fail if costing causes you to be in the way when emerging from a junction or if the examiner think it will eventually cause that.

You may coast at low speeds including up to the line. Just don't cost into the junction.
