Sir, I cannot thank you enough. I had been suffering with low back pain for 6 years now and I am only in my 20s. After trying so many different exercise and stretch routines recommended by local chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists and many channels on youtube, nothing was working. I tried to educate myself on human anatomy so that maybe I could fix myself, but the body is so complex that even with some knowledge, it was too difficult to know what action to take to rehab myself. I was always so skeptical of back professionals because they never seemed to be able to explain to me why or how their techniques worked. I have been incredibly skeptical of chiropractors in particular as in many cases it just seems like a racket, though I am sure there are many good ones out there in the world that I just didn't find. Finally, I discovered your channel! You explain everything so clearly and I it actually makes sense! Not just some mumbo jumbo. This focus on stabilising the joints is something I have never heard talked about by any back health professionals but it makes so much sense. So, I have been performing the bird dog, side planks, curl up, suitcase carries and pistols regularly and I am noticing a reduction in pain. It's life changing, I could cry! Again, thank you so much, I am so grateful. Please keep doing what you are doing. No doubt you have helped thousands and will continue to help thousands more to find pain relief and be able to move freely again. Again, thank you so much, I am so grateful. Much love from the UK!

Finding this channel and seeing they have very similar tips to what my physio told me is what made me feel they're legit and yeah, as you say, they make a great job explaining things and them making sense for everyone. Anyways, cheers from Slovenia!

I'm dreaming about doing one push up without this cracking.. I lift but my cracking sounds are even before lifting ... I found it out 10 years before... Now I can lift heavy and doing high repetitions of push up.. but what stops me is this cracking.. The problem is in two arm not only one

Chiropractor here. YES! Nothing irritates me more than the chiro's I know who adjust their patient, throw some heat and stim on them and schedule them again for next week. Sure, an extremely acute patient I can understand not performing exercises with until you get things to calm down, but you ABSOLUTELY have to get that patient on a proper exercise and functional movement program to give them lasting results. Care should be about teaching the patient to be independent with their body, not to be dependent on you manipulating them all the time to feel better, which unfortunately is something far too many chiro's do. (although insurance lack of payment for this definitely contributes) For me, the adjustment is really just an avenue to restore as much motion in the joints as I can and then immediately getting on the rehab floor with their newfound (but temporary) increased joint range of motion, which will only enhance the active rehab which is really the true part that is going to get them better long-term.

Yea see, I took some flak for my comment on a short about this, but this is exactly what I said. If you pair chiropractic adjustments with rehabilitation type exercises, you can get a lot of good results from it. If you just go to the chiropractor and don't do anything to strengthen (or stabilize) your body, everything is gonna go back to the way it was. I was also trying to make the point that you can have other parts of your body adjusted, and I have issues with the meniscus in my left knee that can help the loose flaps go back where they need to be, so it can be cartilage popping that makes the audible noise, but probably not in the spine.

A chiropractor charges something like $100 plus for a session of these cracks. A licensed orthopaedic threw it in for free during my check up for pinched nerves. He also told me he didn't really recommend doing this all the time, since it lessens the cartilege efficiency between the spinal discs.

It's because you're a bit of an idiot, you knew deep down back then you was doing it to much and now you're going to pay the price for it, you've adjusted the same area thousands of times , of course its going to end up unstable, Chiropractors recommend getting adjusted a few times a year, unless you've had a particular injury that might require more short term adjustments. My daughter was the same keep cracking her own neck about 4 times a day, obviously didn't want to listen to me, and now she has nerve damage down both arms into the hands, she's another idiot, I have know sympathy for her, she even has to wear splints on one of her hands to help stop the pins and needles. Everyone thinks they know best with their health until they're crippled and in pain. Any how , I'm 59 and in tremendous shape, no aches and pains and full of energy, what a great guy I am.

Good video. So, again, we see that chiropractors are quacks. It amazes me that chiropractic practice has so engrained its pseudoscience talons into society. All the while science backed approaches like yours and physiotherapy are viable options. Although maybe i shouldn’t be surprised since chiropractic approaches are so quick fix and require the least effort. Its no wonder people are drawn to them.
@LGRandyx Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry you probably had a bad experience with a chiro or are only seeing the social media version of chiropractic that focuses on the "crack". I promise you in school we have learned over and over again that the audible sound is NOT indicative of a successful adjustment and it is not necessary, but yea it obviously does happen more often than not, and people on social media like to hear so that is what you see. Yes, if you are seeing a chiro who ONLY adjusts and does nothing for active rehab or at least getting the patient to a PT who will do that portion of the care, they are definitely failing you because we know getting people moving is key. Also, you can't call chiro's quacks when more and more PT's are being certified in spinal manipulation (a weekend seminar vs 3.5 years of chiro school) because the evidence has consistently shown that it works. So yes, a good chiro absolutely should be incorporating active rehab into their care plan, something we absolutely learn in school. But don't let your perception of social media chiro's or a local spiritual guru chiro you've heard about cloud your judgement to all chiros. It's so incredibly insulting going through 7.5 years of schooling, dedicating years of my life studying, passing national board exams, and taking additional certifications worth thousands of dollars to better my care for my patients just to be called a quack by people who have no idea how health care works. Whole heartedly, there were absolutely people in chiro school I knew that I was ashamed and hurt knowing they would hold the same title as me, because those are the ones that you all hear about and get these perceptions about the profession as a whole that are just simply not the standard for a chiro nor what we learn in school.
@kban77 Жыл бұрын
Glad to see there are degrees of competency out there. But have you considered how much of an apologist you are forced to be? People have spent longer than 7.5 years studying things that end up having no practical basis. Eg:acupuncture. Our bodies our based on physiology and mental health. You sound like you have expertise, so why try to fit it into “chiropractic care”
@Un1234l Жыл бұрын
They literally said chiropracty works. It's just not complete on its own. Needs to be combined with rehabilitation exercise. After injuring my lower back I can personally attest spinal manipulations helping me to regain my movement and lower pain. The results spoke for themselves. I went from a skeptic to a believer.
@kban77 Жыл бұрын
Who is they? Studies do not show chiropractors work. People’s belief in cures are strong and our interpretations are prone to bias. Sure, twisting around your back may have helped you feel better temporarily. But your body often heals theough slee and repair, all by itself. What means could you be certain that your recovery was specifically due to spinal manipulations? Because studies with attempts at limiting bias do not show this works. Also, the fact that you are now a “believer” is a science res flag. Science minded people never believe in things. We go where the non anecdotal data points us
@6lancmange10 ай бұрын
Just some basics from Wikipedia: [Chiropractic] has esoteric origins and is based on several pseudoscientific ideas. Systematic reviews of controlled clinical studies of treatments used by chiropractors have found no evidence that chiropractic manipulation is effective, with the possible exception of treatment for back pain. There is not sufficient data to establish the safety of chiropractic manipulations. D. D. Palmer founded chiropractic in the 1890s, after saying he received it from "the other world". Its foundation is at odds with evidence-based medicine, and has been sustained by pseudoscientific ideas such as vertebral subluxation and Innate Intelligence. but sure, you keep telling yourself it "works" because you wasted your money and time on that instead of studying actual evidence-based medicine.

You believe that Chiropractors are trying to get the "pop" sound. That couldn't be any further from the truth! The popping sound is a byproduct of the adjustment. It is well documented that when a joint is not functioning as expected it becomes inflamed. This inflammation affects the surrounding tissues including the nerves. The spinal adjustment puts the joint back into motion which removes the cause of the irritation and thus allows the patient to heal. I understand that you are trying to grow your PT practice, however, give the whole truthful story if you're going to post something. I guess that's why Chiropractor's are Doctors and Physical therapist's are just pt's. Have a good day.
