I’ve never seen a dude get so much hate from a group of people, including myself at times, yet be above and beyond what anyone is doing for this community as Lucas has. Unapologetically pro 2A and arming every citizen in this country. The more we fight each other, the faster we lose the fight!!

Believe me, in researching our film we've noticed what you've pointed out; Lucas gets a lot of unprovoked critical flak, in part, because is his youth. That and what might be best termed as, _'professional jealousies'_ -- which is not exclusive to the Firearms Industry. Conversely, Lucas sometimes runs his mouth when he should remain silent under the guise of being bold and outspoken. Even so, objectively he's far more an asset to the gun community than liability. 2A folks are blessed to have him on our side.
@jymesbynd4931
@jymesbynd4931 6 ай бұрын
Actually, for me at least, it’s not his youth and not any type of professional jealously, he’s just super cocky and too much of the videos are about him. However, like many things in life, if you just focus on the info and fast forward a LOT in the videos you can find good content. And the citizens defense plus actual action that is being done by T Rex is quite commendable.

@@texture6 Article 3 of the 14th Amendment says: "No person shall hold office who: shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the oath to support the Constitution of the US, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof"...... So every time they submit any kind of anti-2A bill, it is literally a rebellion against the 2nd Amendment-- and they should lose their seat for it..... It's written right there in the 14th Amendment. Yet no one enforces it. We have to build up 2A supporting Sheriffs and prosecutors who will go after these people.. They already have the legal structure to do it.

The only large, well known, industrial gun maker that I know has put their money where their mouth is has been Barrett. When Komiefornia hit the 50cal market Barrett told them no more guns that civilians could or purchase. Glock, Sig, Smith, all the other must tell them the same thing: we won’t sell to you if you don’t allow the citizens to have it, including magazines. Magpul must stop selling to them as well.

Climber spotted lol. But I run my vert grips pretty far from the receiver as well. That way, instead of actively contracting my biceps to pull the gun into the shoulder pocket, I'm getting passive tension from my fully extended elbow, and active tension from my lats. For me it's less fatiguing over time, while providing a stable and repeatable shooting stance.

@Blippitybloppitybloop grip the magwell? Hahahaha, man what is this, 1985? No, we all run guns with lights and lasers, most of the weight is out near the barrel, and so you need to be supporting the front end of the gun. Trust me, you're not gonna have a good time gripping the magwell when you've got a scout light and a MAWL bolted to the extreme end of your handguard. And you're also not in a position to fight for control of the muzzle in case someone grabs your gun. What works on the flat range doesn't always work in real life situations.

@@theKashConnoisseur It's not about weight(you will literally still get more tired simply from having a fully extended arm regardless of weight) its about reaching your utility switches for said lights/lasers, you can't reach any of that stuff from the magwell.. Arguably you shouldn't really need ANY grip on a rifle that shoots 5.56/5.45 instead you should run it flush so you can rest the weapon on barriers when you aren't moving more easily

Had a lot of similar experiences that Lucas says, including how awesome Jim Ross is, dude is a legend. The facility tour and range day were super fun and enjoyable, and I really enjoyed selling DD products after that. All the personnel from DD were fun, polite, and engaging. We had a dinner with Marty as well and I spoke to him for about 5 minutes myself, and he was very down to earth and enjoyable to talk to. Just my two cents.

I think a point worth considering if you're in the "Trex Arms is a DD shill" crowd It would have been 10 times easier, more popular, and "based" for Lucas & Trex Arms the company to just condemn DD out of hand. There certainly are enough soundbytes out there to do so. However, while an easy way to score community brownie points, it doesn't actually get us anywhere in the long run. For that alone I think we should praise this type of video, for if we condemn it, content creators will default to what they always do. Mindlessly defaulting to exactly what the masses want to hear and see without critical thought. As for "why DD"? If I had to guess, Trex/Lucas interact with a lot of companies. I'm sure they dismissed many out of hand for obviously being a poor fit, and he simply had to start somewhere.

My problem with them has more to do with the rifles themselves. The price is high and they really stopped trying to improve them like 10 years ago. The 14.5 pinned and weld are basically a2s like modern suppressor mounts don't exist. They still use government profile barrels on almost everything. Their triggers are milspec and at 2k I expect a better trigger. The ambi safety is too long and hits my hand when using it. It seems like they took the colt approach to firearms manufacturing. Found the rifle they like and said to anyone who wanted something else good enough for us government good enough for you. That isn't the mentally you should have in business
