Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm just learning about these stuff.. i was discussing recent building of a hindu temple instead of a mosque with my gujarati wife and she pointed out that in fact there used to be a hindu temple in the past which was torn down and a mosque was build on top of it and that it was common in the past.. im not trying to defend either side as im no expert but it looks like to me that colonisation done its part sewing hatred between hindus and muslims and this is what u get out of it.. lots of people in India will side with Modi because India economy is risings, lots of infrastructure developments taking place but as well because terrorist attacks and Modi's steps against it.. of course there could be a different approach to all these things, but as we're living in rotten capitalist system these are the people you'll get..

Very one sided. Modi has done more for India than any prime minister after independence. The laws that were brought in by the congress party are anti hindu. Do your own research as Hindus are treated as second class citizens and all their rights have been taken away. I disliked Modi but soo many Muslims in Gujarat I found support him. Please visit India and move to rural part and understand it before talking anything bad of India from an air-conditioned room. Understand on the ground how each rural households got basic necessities like cooking gas, toilets, electricity, food for poor , better medical facilities, better road connectivity, better price for food grains produced by farmers. If doing all these for general citizens of country by controlling corruption at high places are systematically characterised as danger to democracy for these corrupt business/official so it be. But we average rural Indians love it, that finally we are getting some better things in our life.
