One thing I love is that the storage in your house is linked so if you craft in your house or cook, you don't have to get things out of your chests. Wish more games did that!

We need to be able to sort items in our chests and inventory. I wish we could mail other players items since multiplayer isn’t available. I know an update will be out next week via their twitter so fingers crossed this gets implemented soon!!!

So I'm way behind in the stream and this might come up later in.. but when trying to figure out recipes it can be useful to experiment at the restaurant instead of your house because Remy will cheer when you are making a successful combo. Less crackers that way!

im worried that once it becomes free to play the gameplay will be very different. stamina will be really bad, and everything will be tons of real money with tons on micro transactions. I get addiction easily. I'm afraid to start playing this.

I doubt they will change the stamina part and the farming/cooking part. I don't think that's where they are planning to get people's money. What I'd fear if I were you is them leaning hard into FOMO and gating characters. I think they are taking more of a Genshin Impact approach of making the game endlessly playable and grindable, and messing with stamina would be bad for that model. That said, I think they will probably stay away from gacha and loot boxes because of how hard certain countries have come down on that form of monetization. I foresee the enticement to drop cash will be through battle passes and possibly other forms of gating content like having portals to new character worlds take forever to unlock as F2P.

I’ve been playing on the switch and although I am enjoying it very much there are definitely some issues. Odd freezing between menus and leaving houses. And every couple hours or so I get completely kicked out of the game like completely shuts down. Gets frustrating. But is fun. Think I need to slow it down. Partner rushed through and got stuck. So I’m going slower and not rushing.

I can't decide if I want to restart my game because I now know that farming is a big thing. Or just compleatly renovate the world to make some large farms and put storage chests next to each area so I can cook later... I have all my characters so far to lvl 5 and up. No one is at 10...

They did announce that this will be free to play and not pay to win if and or when they introduce the ability to spend real life money it will be for cosmetics and the season pass stuff which is cosmetics as well

Why does that make you mad? You think a developer should continue to work on updates for a game for free? If animal crossing had micro transactions I’m pretty sure we would still be getting content for it. But buying a game once and expecting continuous content for it isn’t sustainable.

I'm p sure most of us would be happy to support game devs, but mega corporations like disney are known for milking the hell outta their characters for money. I personally like Animal crossing's one-off payment thing, because it means you paid the full amount for what is intended to be a complete game, whereas with season pass/DLC styles, it's VERY easy for companies to lock things behind paywalls. Not saying this is always the case, but we don't trust big companies lol, they did say it won't be P2W but we'll see, they can always change their mind after all

@@haneopi I don't see how it could be pay to win in the first place because it's not a competitive game or multiplayer. I think disney is intelligent enough that they won't want to alienate the playerbase of a game that could potentially make them A LOT of money. Popular battle royals and GTA online are massive money streams and I think disney knows that they are operating within an untapped niche. So why would they want to put in micro transactions that would piss people off? I don't think they want to do that. I'm sure it will be a season pass and cosmetic thing which wouldn't be awful of them to do. I could be wrong but I'm be super surprised if I was.
