We recently took a trip to Disneyland Paris and as an overweight american I was pretty worried about whether or not I was actually going to fit on some rides at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios. Here is my experience with what I could ride and what I struggled with.

Thank you so much for these type of videos!! I"m still on my weight loss journey to even feel comfortable flying in an airplane for the first time. You and Koda are totally awesome!!! Keep up the great work and the "hard for some" to talk about topics!!

The blue seats on RC Racer are a lifesaver! My chesticles are the problem in that ride, it doesn't let the overhead restraint come down enough to hook it up to the little belt. In those blue seats however I am swimming in room, and I am only a little less heavy and about the same height! I do stand by my statement on your WDS video that I think you would have fit Crush, it doesn't nearly go that low! Fingers crossed for next time! For Big Thunder Mountain, if you're in the row by yourself, you can sit in the middle and have the divider inbetween your legs. It's a real game changer!

I was just there at the end of August for the first time and I’m in a wheelchair and honestly it’s barely handicap. I know Europe has different laws then the states but as a company it should have been Disney in the states standard

May I ask what you found lacking? I go there all the time as a disabled person, and we're always in awe how accommodating they are, especially compared to other European parks, so I'm very curious about differing perspectives!

@@disabledisney maybe bc I’m from the states and we have ADA where they have to have everything accessible. Here they have stairs that they can put on the side of the ride to help with transfers, a lot of ride vehicles have it where you can pull the chair in. There the wheelchair access is in the exit which means you’re going upstream from people leaving and getting run into. The priority access system just doesn’t make sense.

@@MorganLindsay96 Yeah some of the rides are hard to get to the exit (or back out, like for Autopia), I agree, especially because the people coming out are not paying attention! There's 6 rides at DLP that you can ride in your wheelchair (compared to the 1 of Efteling (which is merely a viewing station) and 0 of Europa-Park (if you can't do stairs, you can't ride anything) so for us that's massive! As for help to get into vehicles, I know that BTM has a seat that folds out to help you transfer into the car, and that for Flight Force they can open the vehicle wider, though I'm not sure for a seat there. I can't wait to experience WDW next year, and see what it's like there! Though I am currently hoping they'll adjust the DAS regulations, because as they stand I doubt I'll be approved (people being told adults can't have autism for example) which would severely impact my trip. Fingers crossed!

@@disabledisney yeah unfortunately people of complete took advantage of the DAS and have ruined it for the people who actually need it. I haven’t been since they’ve changed it so I can’t say anything on that but hopefully I’m taking a trip next year.

Thank you for making this video. This helps give a better idea on what is possible for plus size riders. Wished there really was more information regarding the limits to these rides or even test seats for that matter.

You would have fitted Crush. Also plussize here but longer and a bit bigger. It would have been pretty tight but, you would not have gone down so low. Next time, do try! Those turn stiles.... pffff.... it already starts at the entrance. It always makes me feel uncomfortable and I always turn. Bare in mind that Europe is not "fluffy friendly". What is 3XL in the States is about 5XL/6XL here. Seats/accomodations are not made for plus size people here. We just got of a DCL cruise (a hudge thanks to you as you pulled us over the line and gave us so much info) and that was the first time that we did not feel like people were staring and we were singled out. We did not feel bad for a second when we got an ice-sream cone or decided to order dessert in the diningroom. My wife was even told she was not plus enough for the plus lifevest. Was a big difference for us.
