I love head tracking 24/7, just got used to it. Now if I don’t have it I feel my head locked in placed. No bird would fly comfortably with a locked head. But it does slightly shift to a side and does little jumps after 30 minutes or so

point the circle where you want to go. when you were “diving” your circle was often off to the side or higher than it needed to be, hence the half dives and slides :)

Head tracking work super well when you fly about water or above cloud and you look down . Manual mode will make you dive down but it's different . It always a static camera. I think there huge potential for low budget film maker and imagine this with full manual control . You will be like a aigle diving down with option of looking around.

Problem is if you want to look down while flying level you have to have head tracking on.

My Avata came yesterday. Once I'm ok with the cintriller, i eant to try head tracking. Seems like there's a learning curve! I think it'll take practise to lead my turns slightly - but it might look cool.

The switch to headtracking is a bit odd, but i got used to it very quickly, just be gentle with your head moving and look forward when flying forward...just a tip. Have fun.

Don’t you need to be in sport mode so your lateral speed isn’t as limited?

How did you record audio while your were flying the drone. What other devise were you using while using the drone? I see you were using a DJI wireless Mic, But if you need your phone for ID location, what are you recording to? thanks in advance Tim

Great video thank you. My Avata is charging up to go do this! I originally bought the Goggles v2 not knowing it didn’t have tracking. So dumb how they marketed Goggles v2 and Goggles 2… maybe v3 would have been more sensible!

Is the new DJI Goggles 2 a big improvement from the V2? How is the screen resolution? I’m tryna get my first drone and I’m debating whether I should get a AVATA or DJI FPV

If you wear glasses, 100% yes! You can adjust the eye diopter to match your vision. It’s better resolution at 1080 100 fps, the Goggles V2 is 720 120fps.

i didnt, might not have looked down far enough to see them from time to time

I thought head tracking could redeem the useless motion controller, but it looks like the regular RC is still the only solution to actual drone-like, rather than plane-like flight. I'll wait on DJI to wake up and actually do a combo with the RC.
