Everyone Says It's Scary - Here's the Truth About Driving to Mexico (subtitulos en español)

Today we're crossing our first international border while driving the Pan American Highway as we cross in our truck camper from the USA to Mexicali, Mexico. Heading into our first border crossing we were a bit nervous because people tend to hype up the stress that comes with the process, but truthfully, our experience was really positive. The people were friendly (like they almost always are in Mexico!), it went quickly, and we made it through without any hiccups! Lesson learned: have all your paperwork ready to go and show up with a smile!

It’s probably a good thing that you are in an older looking vehicle…you should explore cuidad…or Guyamass…but that might be out of your way…what music are you listening to on your road trip…might I recommend, police Asia and the doors…perfect Baja desert music…

Wow, so strange!! I hadn’t watched your channel for a while and decided to look for your video on Rio de Janiero because I had remembered that you flew there with your dog and was wondering how you managed getting him on the plane since he is a little bigger. We have a 1 year old poodle puppy that has grown quite a bit - she’s about the size of Kramer. And I was thinking as I was looking for you “I wish they would drive in a caravan all the way down the coast of Mexico thru Central America down to Argentina - would love to see that.” And here u are doing it!! - how strange is that? You are very brave to do this!! We travelled up the coast of Australia from Melbourne to Port Douglas in a caravan during the pandemic and then decided to move to Mexico with our 3 dogs in January 2021. We and our dogs were in the caravan for 5 months - and that was long enough as it starts getting claustrophobic. We are interested in possibly flying to Buenos Aires with our small dogs in the future and are living in Puebla Mexico at the moment.

Sooo excited for you guys!!! Soak it all up! I’m hoping you have a plan for getting from Panama to Colombia. Dad says there isn’t a way to get through.. it is also heavily controlled by gorillas.. Also, Dad said driving in Colombia if you show hesitation they will run you over. Lol. Just be careful. Latins are crazy drivers! I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. I just got back from 10,000 km idrive into Mexico and back. We crossed at ElPaso and our TIP was $400USD!!! Not sure how you got yours so cheap. Like we researched and knew to expect $400 TIP
