Simply put we have a saying in Arabic: من أمن العقوبة أساء الأدب, those who feel safe from punishment will Always misbehave. Regarding crimes, our society works in layers, the first one is the family unit where ALL family members r required to behave nd should morally correct each other, then the second layer is the society it self. We don’t believe in the term “everyone is free to do whatever they want as long as they don’t hurt anybody”, as long as u live in this society u HAVE to follow its moral values nd the society has the right to shame nd judge u. Nd the last layer is the shariah laws for those who ignore the first 2 layers.
@shyxpretion74295 ай бұрын
@@KaLiGr in our religion and culture PDA is a big problem no matter wat ur sexuality is. Shariah laws is strict, yet to implement the law there is even more strict conditions that must be met. For example, homosexuality is not a sin as long as u don’t have an intercourse, because ppl can’t control their feelings but they can control their actions, if someone accused u of homosexuality they MUST provide a proof, must be a wetness that saw u having intercourse. That condition is extremely hard to meet because who would allow anyone to see them being intimate, unless ur into these kind of things than i would say the possibility of u being caught is high. So if u live in dubai I would say u should keep ur pda nd intimacy in private, the government doesn’t go after u unless you did something that bothered others like PDA. As a Muslim i believe homosexuality is a sin, nd just like any sin as long as u r alive than there is always a possibility for repentance. I will never try to hurt or harm u in any way nd if u needed help as a fellow human being I should help as long as it doesn’t involve sins. The matter of sins in Islam is 2, first ones is the sins that involves injustice to others nd these sins cannot be forgiven unless the one wronged forgive it, the other one is sins where it’s only between u nd god, for example drinking alcohol or having intercourse outside of marriage, as long as u repent u r forgiven BUT if u published ur sins to the public u must be punished by shariah law. I hope I explained it well

@frankgradus9474 You greatly exaggerate the slavery claim. KAFALA means sponsorship. Basically guest workers from poor countries are sponsored with paying jobs, food and accommodation to work for the host country. It's in the country's best interest to make sure these "guest workers" are treated well otherwise nobody will come. All the money they earn is then sent back to their home country so both sides benefit. As the amount they earn is considered way better than whatever they earn back home. In return the host country gets cheaper labor and people willing to do hard jobs. And yes passport confiscation is illegal, if it happens by any company its a crime.

How ridiculous is it that instead of throwing away the key on violent criminals, we prefer to have citizens living in fear that they could be next. If crimes were more harshly punished, and our culture was less tolerant of violence...people would think more before committing violent crimes.

Well it's not as simple as that. In Dubai you’d face a fine and/or jail, and deportation for stealing. He wouldn’t face having his hand cut off. In a small town in UAE where people still follow the Sharia Law probably they do. And even then it is not a simple thing as you are accused, chopped your hands off. You look at the facts first. And then you look at the severity of the crime, so if let's say some poor beggar hasn't had any money to eat for days and he stole some bread they won't get their hand chopped off. It is usually those gangster burglars that get these types of punishment. And even then it is really rare to ever resort to this type of punishments because crimes are literally non existent.
