I just got am Olympus Acurra point and shoot. I found it in my Moms storage and it looks new. Put a battery in works fantastic. I will be in Seattle in a couple weeks. So I am going to load a roll of expired Portra 160 NC I bought in 2002. Yes 2002 wish me luck Sam.

In my experience, scanning at the lab was far worse for magenta and red than when I scanned it myself. I was in love with my previous Ektar home scans, I bought some more for this fall!

I shoot manual, and I just use the internal light meter build in the camera, it's pretty accurate I think~

I just bougth a Minolta Maxxus 7000 . I'm interested in the uniqueness of expired film. If I buy a 200 exp film what setting will you recommend ? Love ur channel btw

It really depend on whats the condition the film was stored. If the film was well kept, technically, you can over expose it one stop by every 10 years. My 200 exp films I normally would shoot at 100 or even 50 ISO to compensate... I have another video named "Expired Film 101" in my channel, I discussed my experience with expire films, you can check it out if you are interested.

I love your channel but I would say it would be really cool if you kept up that one editing style you've done in one of your other videos I've watched where you show what the photos looked like unedited next to how you edited them, just to see how true the photos are to whatever film stock you used! Otherwise, your videos are great and I always end up coming back to watch them
