The shot of the railway workers from the train is really nice - the composition and light nails it.

Always a highlight of the week when Teo uploads. I really like the repeat photo of the distant house at 13:59, it feels like the poster for the movie 10 Cloverfield lane.

Greenish hue is usually a noritsu scanners colour representstion tather than film, cause AeroColor is more on the cool pastel side, rather than green

What’s so satisfying about 2:35 is that the light reflect and the top of the power pole match pretty well 🎉

i really loved this video. THe idea to get on a train and let the scenes come to you is so great. And the light that day and the film stock were wonderful. You got some really great pictures out of it

I'm starting to really enjoy reflections. I'm much more interested in photography than friends and family, so I'm always taking photos, while rarely being photographed myself - so it's a nice little easter egg for me to find myself in a window, a bird's eye, or a pair of sunglasses. It helps put me into the scene, and remind me that I was present too, rather than being some disembodied observer.

Shooting out of trains has been an extremely frustrating experience for me. I don’t know how many times I’ve tried it and never got anything I liked, but... man, you got some bangers! The power pole works so well with the overhead lights cutting the top part, and forming a triangle with the pole and the bushes. You could say it’s pure luck, but... the way I see it, it’s a great photo and if you hadn’t taken it, no one would’ve. I really, really liked a lot of the other photos too. And Luminar 100 seems to have excellent sharpness. The photo of the lady in the red coat is so crisp that at first sight I was convinced I had misunderstood something and that this was shot with a digital camera. Overall it seems like an amazing filmstock.

That is a very interesting film stock. For the most part it reminds me of portra, no grain and very sharp with nice pastel colors.. and then the red hits you! The red pops really hard compared to the other colors and I love it! Also, great video as always! :)
@teocrawford Жыл бұрын
Indeed it‘s quite interesting! PoPho themselves claim that the film has a higher red sensitivity, which I hadn’t thought about but got very lucky with by accidentally choosing subjects with a lot of red haha🙌🏼
@teocrawford Жыл бұрын
I actually didn’t tweak the reds, they really pop that much😮💨 PoPho also claims that this film has a higher sensitivity to red🙌🏼

Weird KZbin must know I just bought a K1000 because I keep getting suggested videos of people shooting on them lol That aside, great video! I'm still waiting to receive mine and I'm excited as I've never looked through an SLR before let alone shot with one and its an experience I'm really excited for. You've got some wonderful shots, and even that one you said you regretted still had a "lomographic" look to it that has some character to it. I like film I think more so for the texture it gives even seemingly "bad" photos, its why disposable camera photos can look so bad but so memorable! There's a coffee shop that sells a B&W stock I haven't seen before near me that I'm gonna try when I get mine, you're video and the others I've seen are very inspiring!

Love this channel. Super high quality and eye pleasing content. I wanted to ask you guys about smth. I have a question about film scans. Shot my 1st film not a long time ago and sent it to get developed. There were three options: jpeg, jpeg large (+$3), and TIF (+$5). I decided to choose the last one cause I didn;t want to go cheap on my 1st film. The size of scans I got were huge, 40 to 80 MB or even more. So my question would be is it worth to pay more for a better quality scans or even regular jpeg could work?
@teocrawford Жыл бұрын
Aww thank you!🫶🏼☺️ Hmm to be honest for your first film especially I think I would have gone cheap, because it‘s your first roll, which is basically the highest probability of unsatisfactory results😅 If I were you, I‘d probably differentiate between rolls that hold personal memories and rolls that are intended to be high quality photography (however you may define that for yourself). I suppose the high quality is only necessary if you’re shooting stuff that you consider really good. But if you plan on shooting film for longer I‘d highly recommend that you get into self-scanning as fast as possible. It‘ll save you sooo much money. At least in my case my lab charges the most for the scanning service. Their development fee is quite cheap I find. If you‘re interested, I made a video on how I scan🙌🏼

Hey, i just finished my first roll of film for a 35mm film camera, and after i brought it to the store i noticed that my dumb ass didnt put in the right ISO, so i shot a 400 ISO film roll with a 75 ISO setting on the camera, is it gonna make the photos all black or white?
