Is Empire of the Ants worth it? A Comprehensive Review

Great TLDR review! I've been playing Empires of the Undergrowth when i saw this on my recommendations list. I definitely wanna try this RTS after i finish the other ant game!

I've not played empires of the undergrowth yet but my understanding is that empire of the ants features less mechanics, it's a very pretty game and quite fun as an rts skirmish but doesn't have the depth of empires of the undergrowth in terms of the actual gameplay. Hope that's useful!

In the 90s I also had a PC game called empire of the ants, and you could go underground to tend to the eggs.

I also remember the 90s SimAnt which I enjoyed. Like you say, Empire of the Ants has got fantastic graphics but is RTS. The other recent ant game I really like is Empire of the Undergrowth. More of a realistic simulation

@@twiglets2 Check it out and maybe do one of your type reviews. If you like a realistic ant simulator with building your colony, underground play, exploration for food and fighting, nest expansion etc etc - then it will be just up your street

@@DrPlonk I found it quite fun! But have to admit the campaign grew a bit....samey? I do think the multiplayer is good to be fair
