I was leading my father to Christ and got him to come to church with me. Such joy! then my brother died by his own hand and my father asked the pastor to officiate at his funeral. He refused saying that he could not bury a person who committed suicide. When he needed comfort in that moment he was kicked in the teeth by someone who should have shown compassion.

As I understand correctly, a lot are damned, as Jesus told Himself ( a few only will be saved, else Jesus was incorrect ). @ I’m a disciple of Christ and a preacher of God’s word. Show me book chapter and verse that states that a murderer can go to Heaven who dies in an unrepentant state. Just because the answer is a difficult one to hear doesn’t make it any less true. Can God make exceptions? of course he can, He’s the judge. But I wouldn’t want to stake my eternal life on God making an exception. It’s a sin to abuse your body, it’s on loan from God. Murdering that body is a sin. Suicide is very much a first world problem. We have people offing themselves who have never known a day of hunger, and have never struggled through a cold winter because we live in a world where food and heat are abundant. I don’t mean to trivialize the trauma people are going through but suicide is not the answer. If you read this and you’re struggling, get help. Don’t take your life. Get right with God and then live for Christ going forward, dedicate your energy to serving the Lord and the God of heaven and earth will take your life at the appropriate time.

The Bible is clear, if you die in sin, you will be condemn. Once you die, you cannot ask for forgiveness. When blasaphim the Holy Spirit, you are making a conchoice choice. If we die and not repent of for every sin, God knows your heart. Suicide is the lack of faith in God. That is a very serious sin.

Christ died for sins past, present and FUTURE, He is God outside of time space and place and forgiveness and judgement is given outside of it as well. When you ask Christ for forgiveness ALL is atoned for. What you did, what you may do, what you are currently doing, paid in full by the blood of the lamb. Romans 6. Why worship a God if the terms of salvation are of such an anxious nature? Did I ask forgiveness enough? Did I ask soon enough? Should I ask again? The Lord Jesus Christs mercy is infinite. It's not just about how evil someone is. it's also about the scoreboard between souls in heaven and souls in hell. Think of how pissed satan get when he is about to devoure a soul in hell, and it's snatched away while the soul repents to Jesus and the link to the body is not broken yet.

I was talking to a guy I work with, who is a preacher. I said "I believe if a Christian who is dying, suffering in severe pain, and decided to end their life, that they will still go to heaven." He disagreed with me, and said they would go to hell. I asked him, "So, you think if someone who followed the Lord for decades, that was already dying, and in pain decided to end their suffering, in the hopes that they would go on to be with the Lord, and out of pain.., that He would send them to hell?" He said, yes. I told him I believe a person saved by grace will receive grace. Even if they take their life because of mental or physical pain.

Jesus told him he would be with Him in Paradise not Heaven. Jesus didn’t go to Heaven on that day. He went to the grave which is also known as Hades or Sheol. Paradise is a place in hell that’s not a place of torment. It’s a peaceful place that those who are in the Lord go after death to till Jesus comes back.

This was my exact thought as well. Suicide means you don't have faith in God's plans for your life. You are saying to God, I don't need you, and I don't want your will in my life. If you are saved, you are to be a testimony and spread the Gospel as long as you can. The Holy Spirit filled person has peace and joy even in the chaos. What kind of testimony is it that you gave up and offed yourself? It seems to me that anyone who commits suicide was probably not ever saved and filled with the Holy Spirit in the first place. But ultimately, only God knows the heart. We have spiritual problems, not mental health problems, in this fallen world.

This claim of only one sin being unforgivable is not true. There is another sin which is unforgiveable and that is to reject Christ as your Savior. I have also heard a different definition of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit not being denigrating or cursing etc. of the Holy Spirit. Attributing the works of Satan to the Holy Spirit for examples glossolalia or the casting out of unclean spirits. The most important thing to remember is that God can see the beginning and end. If a person has accepted Christ as their Savior our Heavenly Father knows exactly what the person will do while alive on earth. Why would he grant salvation to a person only later to damn them to Gehenna? My God forgives all sins in the past and future, but we still bear the consequences of sin here on earth; God is logical.
