Omg I love your story. It took you 2 1/2 years to get your first sale but you kept pushing forward and I’m glad this was your year of being successful because of your determination. I open an Etsy in 2017 and made 3 sales but due to family situation I put it on hold. Because of the pandemic, everyone is home so it thought to give Etsy another try. I also make different products and turn to a different route. I start in September and so far gotten 17 sales. Not at the point I want to be at, but I am working very hard everyday and hope that 2021 will be my year. My Etsy shop is focus on kids embroidered tshirts for birthday. I have a very focus niche but with embroidery I can do so many thing so I might offer other embroidery items just to give my shop more option for customer if they’re not looking for kids embroider tees.

So happy to have found your channel! I was thinking of creating an Esty shop for knits and crafts. Can I sell different things in one "shop" or is it recommended to have more than one type of thing. For example I'm wanting to sell chunky blankets, handmade candles, and wreaths for every season. Wondering how etsy works for more than one product 🤔
@JerikaZimmerman3 жыл бұрын
Etsy is like a giant search engine. The more your products have a theme or the more similar your items are, the higher the chance Etsy will push your shop and listings to the first page of search. So I would recommend separate shops for each type of item. Or start with one type, build the sale and customer base for that, and then add other items over time.

I would love to ask you about shipping. I live about 45 min south of you and can not believe the amount of money it costs to ship my items. I do bath bombs, bath salts, etc. I used to be on etsy about 10 yrs ago and did ok but stopped when I went back to work full time. Now I'm back on and it is slow for sure but I am so concerned about shipping fees. Thanks for all your amazing videos.
@JerikaZimmerman4 жыл бұрын
I have an account on eshipper and since I ship a lot, I’m in a higher tier shipping using Canada posts small business shipping. I try the addresses on both to see which is cheaper. I factor in some of the cost of shipping in the item price in addition to charging shipping.

For Etsy? I only pay a listing fee if 1. listing a new product or 2. a listing is expired and I need to renew it (you get 3 (or 4?) months when you pay the listing fee. For Shopify it's $33.

Hi, I hope you do well on Etsy. I have an Etsy shop and it took me 2 years and now I cant keep up with the orders. Your products have to be good quality and then the reviews keep coming and that's how you get more sales. I wanted to ask you, do you still get the ching ching sound when you make a sale as I dont. It's not there anymore and I loved hearing that sound. Good luck.😊
