Nope! We are designed to perform actions but with the human nature when we attach our intentions to it then it adds up Karma. So we all need to perform the actions without any intentions. Like a person with Mars in ascendant can watch a cruel murder (when badly placed) or to some extent they can even murder someone but for what or why they do is upto them.

I don't believe in predetermined destiny...What's the point of action if everything is already written? What about free will? If you have a goal, work towards it, manage the risks that will deter you from attaining that goal...Your success is determined by the effort that you put in...The outcome is never pre destined.

If you wake up one day and have a plan for the day in mind, then cancel that plan for some reason and think of another plan. Cancel the plan again, then follow another plan. This time you act upon your new plan...If destiny is predetermined, then that implies that whatever you end up doing, whatever choice you make, it was all predetermined on the day you were born...That also implies that some entity and not you is in charge of your thoughts. That makes no sense!!

Can you give some examples to those life's bigger event? Don't you think that what you do, no matter how small, eventually lead to those bigger outcomes? If we do things, and take decisions willfully, do those small things not lead to bigger more impactful events which remain under our control to some degree? Is there any evidence which suggests that life is predestined?

@ashlynsharma1549 With this fatalistic outlook on life, one may get easily discouraged and give up on his goals...He may think to himself that achieving his objective(s) just isn't part of his destiny and just give up; when in fact, he simply didn't adopt the right approach, didn't effectively manage his risks or he was not persistent enough. You may die of a disease or an ailment because you did not reach out to the right physician. You may die from poisoning because the antidote was not yet invented. Success or the attainment of one's objective may just be ahead and it might happen on the 100th attempt.

"The predetermined aspects of our current life are the result of our actions in previous lives. The actions we make in the free will aspects of our current life will determine the destiny aspect in our next life" Is this a law though? Is this truth or is this just faith/belief? Is there a way to prove the veracity of such a claim?
