He was thrown out of the gurukul because he insisted on learning the Brahmastra. Karna then approached Parashurama pretending to be a Brahmin and when Parashurama found out cursed Karna that he'll forget the mantras to invoke the weapons when he needs it the most. Would be nice if your channel can specify the source since these tales have been twisted over decades for entertainment or infiltrated by folklore from many parts of the country.
