Even vocal coaches agree that Exo are phenomenal group, the fact that there are people who call them overrated simply for their own preference to different groups and taste in music is really saddening. It's fine if they don't like Exo's music but to call them overrated is a big understatement. Exo has been trained as one of the most best vocalists of kpop which is really evident since their debut album and to this day they still keep improving. You don't even need to be an expert to realize how phenomenal they are at their job. The fact that people think they only care for vocals and visuals when in fact their choreography and rapping are as rough if not the most hardest.

With EXO's level of popularity globally, which is lesser that other groups, I still consider them as downright underrated. With all due respect to the popular Kpop acts in the west, their skills and professionalism are not on par with EXO. If EXO was promoted well, Kpop should have been more respected rather than deemed as bunch of rapping pretty boys by the music industry.

And not to mention many times groups have been called out for copying EXO over the years of stuff they were doing and I also called trendsetters they made a lot of things popular that groups used in their videos. Just like the Bluetooth light sticks EXO was the first to do it group music and solo music always different they're not afraid to try different things that's why they get so much love

My brothers EXO overrated is not a thing when it comes to them not that you're saying it but when it comes to them they have the hype for a reason. That's why they are called Kings of vocals and kings of K-pop and emperor of K-pop they are already icons and legends with the amazing career they have outstanding. They are literally praised by the industry every time they do something different groups from different generations of Love EXO and the new groups always have them as role models who they look up to EXO they earned those titles given to them for 11 years they've been going strong and getting better and better. Literally producers always say EXO is always doing something different what other groups do the same thing but not them that's why they are my favorite group of all time with the best discography in my opinion

And then you will see why they are now called EMPERORS, not just Kings. Overrated? please. There's like an "informative" video that was made by Jonathan Miller, THE RETURN OF EXO. In which he explains why they deserve their title. Just facts and not simple good wishes. They never compare to anyone else, they don´t need to do that. They are always overcoming themselves, and their last comeback is proof of that. The EXIST album is MAJESTIC. They are not good, I agree. Now, they are MAGNIFICENT.

I think "overrated," are those trying hard with their voice, those that has no natural voice/vocals, for example BTS, why? They're not vocal group but trying to have vocals, lol!
