EXO debuted with two group 1.EXO-M (mandarin) that promote the group in china (they have 6 member which consist 4 Chinese member and 2. korean member while another group is 3. EXO-K(korea) that basically promote the group in korea which consist 6 korean member ... 4. three Chinese member left the group because they got mistreated and now EXO are left with 9 member (8 korean member + 1 chinese member) 5. The only left chinese member named lay actually has been not participated in any of exo activity becase lay is a big figure in china so since there are also some relationship problems going on between china and korea from what i heard from somewhere...lay cannot participate in exo activity from long years alraedy... 5. Exo member has been going through military leave for few years alraedy so some members might be missing in the mv like obsession and new ones... 6. Only the song was different, in my case I’ve listened and watched the MV of “Growl” (that is such a good song and you should check it out btw) and liked it a lot about 10 years ago. After that I just didn’t get into KPOP that much and I used to listen to American pops only. Overdose was also my first kpop video, and I’ve been hooked to exo ever since 😂🫶🏻 and yes, the two units had 6 members each that sang in Korean and Chinese respectively, but 3 Chinese members left the group (Kris, Luhan and Tao), and ever since all the Korean members (Xiumin, Chen, Suho, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, D.O, Kai and Sehun) and the remaining Chinese one (Lay) sing both the Korean and Chinese versions… although, in the last few years they basically quit doing the Chinese versions, I guess cause it was too much work and trouble 😂😅

EXO is still a big group in Korea. Kai and Sehun are in the military right now but should be back in 2025. I would suggest you start your XO journey with their debut song MAMA which gives the entire storyline of XO Planet and their powers then hop all over. Each of the members also have amazing solo careers.

I'm a fan of kpop 2nd gen grup and even then there are Just few ppl like kpop, but when exo release growl and then overdose, suddenly i have so many friends i could share the same interest. It was fun, i even managed to turned them into multifan like me lmao😂
