This so much I'm gonna wait till this game goes on sale there too many good games already out and coming out that are either much cheaper or from a known and trusted company. I suspect this game will be on sale in 6-8 months time because it's not gonna sell that well.

I rented temtem from the library and barely started it because it was online only. If they had an offline option it may have sold better. Not everyone has good internet or only plays at home.

tbh... the Streams of Fae Farm i saw where lackluster and i can't fathom why the Content Creators don't "see" it. 60 $/€ for this game is to much, even with DLCs. I only found one creator that was honest about his experience and it saved me money. I would've been disappointed if i would've believed these "hype creators". I fell for Palia, but that didn't cost any money. But then again, i do have my grievances with the cozy game genre (both creators and gamers) as of late, so maybe i'm just biased/bitter.

I'm like you. I adore My Time at Portia, but it did have a LOT of bugs on Switch, some that still haven't been fixed and probably never will be. If we have to wait a couple more weeks to get a less buggy (hopefully bug free) game, I'm fine with that. It's probably the game I'm looking forward to the most.

Sugar Shack looks like a cute game to play with a couple of friends and I hadn't heard of it so thanks for sharing it! I have to say something does rub me the wrong way about people automatically assuming that just because a game is a farming sim it doesn't deserve a higher price tag. Especially when the genre tends to give players many more hours of gameplay than a lot of games out on the market. My wallet certainly doesn't mind Fae Farm's downgraded price on Steam, but I still probably would've paid the original price if only because it's clear how much care has gone into the creation of the game. The way they're handling multiplayer in particular I think is a really lovely touch (where the visiting players receive money but don't advance their own storylines) and I hope more farming sims can implement something similar in the future.

I was loving My Time At Sandrock on Beta. For Fae Farm, i am mad that this game - from not an established studio is offering premium packages for unannounced 'packs'. What is their launch isnt great and the packs dont go ahead.... What is its just a small item pack (Sims 4 kits im looking at you). its bad practice.

You should watch Eeowna's video on the game. The studio itself may be new but the dev team is full of big names from other studios (like jinx's creator) and published by Nintendo. All Nintendo games have been doing the same thing with dlc recently so I see no issue with it, the dlc will add more characters and items ect according to their live stream/discord. I think everyone's too used to farm sims being tiny teams, this is a proper developer making a farm game. The price is a little steep it should be closer to rune factory's price, but it's nothing crazy.

The pricing change of Fae Farm is actually making me consider it. $60 was WAY too expensive for a non-Triple A farming title. To be honest, even $40 is pushing it; I might still wait for a sale (and of course, check out your coverage of the game when you do put a video out to see if it's really something worth the price). I wish they had released a demo, especially with the price they're charging. Enjoy PAX, but be careful! I believe some recent video game con wound up with an influx of COVID, and recently, the FFXIV Fan Fest (convention) became a COVID hotspot because a few people went when they were knowingly sick; I wouldn't be surprised if that (sadly) becomes a standard practice for convention goers. Take care of yourself!

As someone who only has the switch to play any modern games - I was extremely taken aback seeing that price tag for FaeFarm. I was so excited for the game when they announced it in the Direct, but after seeing that price tag, it completely made me retract any plans to pre-order or purchase this game day one. The game looks nice, but definitely not at $60 especially when there's such a big competition with farming games + with F2P Palia coming too, I'll definitely be waiting for a sale. I would've bought this day one if it was $40. But at this rate, I might wait for a sale of at least $30 more or less.

@@beckybecker4651 that was clearly already part of the game that they just cut in the pc version and called it dlc so they can make a cheaper version. It was the base game. And then they cut content from it and priced it as $40 without the cut content. What people are arguing is that the whole $60 version should have been $40 and should still have the content they cut and renamed as DLC. I'm a big farming-sim fan, so I'm definitely not undermining Faefarm's price just because it's a farming sim. $60 for an indie, new IP farming sim standard edition IS a lot especially with so much competition in the farming sim genre today, it doesn't make sense to price an indie new IP that high.

​@louvella-sama that's actually not true at all, if you watch the livestreams they've been doing they have considered adding more content down the line. The base game is finished but there was always hints of possibly adding more things later. Maybe they initially weren't allowed to state that "yes, that will be in a DLC later!" But the closer to launch they've gotten, the more we've been able to learn.

I'll be in Seattle with my family, and at Nintendo Live next door to PAX! If we see you, we'll say hi for sure! I'm glad for the price changes to allow more people to play. However, I think if a game is solid, it deserves the same compensation as an RPG or whatnot. I'd be more than happy to pay full price for Coral Island when it's released on Switch, assuming it's the same game overall. It has a huge amount of content. So if Fae Farm has an equal amount of depth, sure I'll buy. Thanks for the updates.

Spirit of the Island devs actually lowered their price as the game is coming to multiple platforms. I'm not paying over $40 for a farm game. I bought Harvestella on a big sale. It's worth it kinda. It gets tedious in year 2 and I I'm still going through the story. Everyone is all about Aria, but why does my character have no memory and I'm immune to quietus? No spoilers please, I just find it frustrating.

Fae farm is expencive yes, but atm I would rather have finished, polished games and pay a bit more than more Early access games.. Many EA games I’ve liked but playing with bugs and less content, where progression suddenly stops it gets a little frustrating and boring. And when the game finally releases I just feel done with it. But I don’t always have it in me to wait for the full game either 🙈 I really have loved Palia but I hope new content is released quickly. So even though I agree the price for Fae Farm was surprisingly high I happily pre-ordered it because it looks polished and I feel like every game lately has been early access and far from done. I hope the game play is good.

I think the price reduction for Fae Farm is a good idea, but a "base" version should be even cheaper. One of the largest constituents of cozy games are elderly players and they are not as likely to spend $40 on a game they are unsure of. All that a high price for a game accomplishes is fewer people playing, and encourages pirating copies (I know a 70 year old cozy gamer who unapologetically pirates games to play first to see which he wants to buy; he says, "I don't have money to waste on dozens of games that I'm not going to like, like Harvestella!") I think that it takes longer for the price to change following Nintendo's procedure and by the time it's approved, the game would've already been out. It’s still the same as steam deluxe and will also have the dlc for free like the steam deluxe. Steam only got cheaper game without dlc as an option, and Nintendo sadly only got one option (but honestly, if we got both options on Nintendo I’d still choose the deluxe one, I’m very excited for this game and I’m just waiting to preorder it within 1 week of release to use up my funds and pay the rest out of my wallet, as earlier preorders don’t allow the use of funds)

I'm conflicted because I do believe that farm games offer just as much or more content than many other kind of games at the $60 price tag. So in a sense they are worth the $60 to me. I'm the other hand, the reason I and do cnut others can play many farm Sims is because of that cheaper price tag. So for me to get fae farm, I'd have to see reviews that prove it gives a better experience than two good $20 farm sums combined. Otherwise, I'd rather get the 2 cheaper games and have more hrs of enjoyment

Hey Josh, I'll be going to PAX West too! Looking forward to meeting you in person! I strongly dislike the blend of free to play MMOs and cozy games. It just allows for more scummy monetization systems. This limited time event is just another upsetting aspect of MMOs. Too bad about Sandrock getting delayed, but I think it makes sense. It took some time before Portia was in a polished state, so i say take your time devs! I was surprised by FaeFarms price. It would have to be something special to outprice other games in the genre. I personally don’t think Fae Farm is too expensive. Especially for 40,-. Almost every farm/life sim isn’t as polished as this game. Plus most games are early acces or something. A Wonderful Life cost 40,- and looks less polished in my opinion.

I was a bit bummed when I got the news that My Time at Sandrock would be releasing in November 2nd instead of the initial September 26th date. But when I actually thought about it more and remembered all the people who played Portia on Switch making it clear how bad that was, this was actually a very wise decision by Pathea. First off, it allows them to truly work out the major game-breaking bugs that might still be in the PC EA's current build. Secondly, this would allow them to further incorporate the player feedback without having to crunch hard. Third and most importantly, they can focus on making sure that, even though the Switch version of Sandrock would never get to the quality of graphics found on the PC, it would still be able to run smoothly at ~30 frames per second, and this would ensure that they will not repeat the buggy, unoptimized disaster that was Portia's Switch release. The people who hesitate on buying Fae Farm due to it's price bring up a good point. Not everyone can put down that sort of money for a game. Personally, I hesitated and dithered for weeks on whether to pre-purchase on even 1 version due to that price tag. Eventually I relented and pre-purchased on: Steam, Switch Eshop and Switch Physical from Amazon (used VISA points to dock the overall costs on Amazon; physical for collection purposes). Honestly, I kept my expectations for the Switch version fairly even: not going to be PC quality of graphics ever, but if it was designed for Switch first it should still perform well enough that the graphics will be bearable. So TL;DR, bummed but understanding of the necessity behind Sandrock's delay. Hesitated due to Fae Farm's price tag, but now I feel like I made the right decision with the amount of content and how optimized it is for the Switch.

Should I get fae farm for switch or pc? What would you recommend me?

Fae farm was WAY WAY to pricey. I still think it's on the higher side for what it is. I will probably bye it when there's a sale. However it is nice that the acamidated the consumers.

fishing looks absolutely awful and why would I pay 50 dollars for a farming sim with no farming? I was real disappointed with a runthough of this game that I saw. It looks awful and tedius with no rewards.

I understand delays happen, Sandrock being delayed is upsetting but I do get it, they want to make sure the games good and ready. haveing said that though, I feel like this delay was becuase of all the competion they would have around the same time. I feel like November isn't going to be any better really, and its a little upsetting that games get pushed back due to fear of sharing the spot light as it were. There are always going to be games coming out around each other, and from September to December it's a huge push by developers to get there games out before the holiday season. this is just my opinion but I feel like delaying games for this reason just hurts the current fan base and players who were eagerly awaiting the game and have been since early acess just because they want to have the best time to bring in more people to buy there game. it makes sense from a developer and company standpoint but that doesn't make it any less upsetting lol

I don't have a problem with the developers pushing back My time sandrock because it was coming out at the same time for the new harvestmoon game

Honestly I hate when people say "the game is too expensive". There does not exist anything like expensive game. Games cost low compared how much work goes into developing them.

And to say unpopular opinion...if you don't have money to buy games don't be mad and hateful towards developers/publishers. There are many stuff I can't buy because I don't have money for them. But that's not a reason for me to be mad that the stuff I want is expensive. Not everything in the world is accessible by money. Either you have to earn more or don't complain.

I agree, games are a luxury item. If they feel that is the right price for their game so be it. Plenty of other games are the same price and sell fine, just because it's a farm game doesn't mean it didn't have effort put in and should be cheap by default. Choosing not to buy a game is fine but then complaining about price is ridiculous. The standard edition is coming to switch after release anyway according to the team.

Fae farm still expensive for me on Brazil, stardew valley costs 25 reais, fae farm costs 149 reais, 6x the price, to much.

Just open the channels today and found out Sandrocks has been delayed again...3rd time the charms.I was regular at the Pathea Sandrocks channel and they didn't bother to tell us about the delay in there😕

For me $60 is akeays​person too expensive for a game but that's not Fae Farm's fault, I only have a Switch and I always wait for sales 😅

Fae Farm was in my steam list because I wanted to keep a eye on it. Bud 40 bucks is way to much for it, I tabe out at around 25 bucks at best for a game like that.

Well, the fact that My Time of Sandrock will be delayed till November is if no help to me since there's a miriad of games being released in the last quarter of the year 😅 so, tough choices will have to be made; and about Fae Farm I don't think is far that I as Switch owner have to pay more and get less. I'd like to get the Soundtrack and the pre order bonus when getting the physical pre-sale.

How are you getting less??? The switch version is the deluxe version that will include two DLCs and a cozy furniture pack.

@@ivanamendez478 As far as I know and according to Amazon the physical version is $60 but there's no mention of any bonuses nor soundtrack being included.

@@jessieg3579 it isn't mentioned on the Switch, either . It was announced via Steam and the devs. I would assume you'd get a special code or something to be able to access the DLCs. I highly doubt they would fumble this and charge the deluxe price without the perks for physical pre orders.

@@ivanamendez478 well without Official mention via Nintendo or the Devs on their page. The Switch physical version is $60 bucks without any extras. Hopefully they make the announcement that the physical version will get them or they will adjust the price before the game releases.

The game Fae farm is a great looking game, but as others have echoed, Yes its way too expensive and over priced, I was expecting 19.99 to 25 dollars Max. Nobody in their right mind would expect to pay 60 dollars.

I'm glad Fae Farm is cheaper. $60 for an indie-looking, cute and cozy farming game is EXPENSIVE.
