As someone who has done plenty of conventions over the years, this was a great start for a sports centric convention. It had a lot to do for kids and adults and wasnt overwhelming. Unfortunately some people cant control themselves around famous people and act like fools which ruin things for everyone just trying to get an autograph and a meet and greet. For those upset about prices, you have to remember its the agencies that set the appearances up and as such charge what covers the athelete their agent, the company etc. Its no different than when RDJ or Chris Evans wete charging 300+ an autograph and only took about 200 people. The show floor for fanatics fest itself was nicely laid out and had plenty to do for kids and adults. Each major sport had their gimmick attraction for photos and activities and probably the worst part of the layout was having the player autograph area on the back wall of the floor rather than an unused side hall. I can definitely see it getting bigger and recommend it to any sports fan. Even if not into memorabilia there was enough there to at least get a days worth of attention. If anything maybe add a couple more panels that arent just podcasts for more fan interaction.

It was a great first year but it’s got long way to go to be as big as comic con.

The answer is no. The autograph line for the Knicks players was an absolute nightmare and poorly mismanaged, resulting in hundreds of fans going home disappointment and frustrated. Yes we got a refund, but no compensation at all for the 4+ hours we waited on line or for the lack of security that causes Brunson in particular to bounce early because HE WAS CONCERNED FOR HIS PHYSICAL SAFETY - yes it was that bad BUT we won't hear about this on the news - too many people in cahoots with Fanatics that they won't speak out about this.

Unfortunately, the hype got people too rowdy. It's the first time in decades the knicks are major contenders, and having pretty much the entire starting lineup there made people insane. When you have idiots running past security into the player hangout area trying to cop a feel off Brunson it ruins it for everyone. Every line I saw while some longer than others was nowhere near as chaotic as the instance with the knicks.

I am a huge wwe fan and I went there with my kid which is also a wwe fan, we had three photo ops that we had to rush to, Jey uso had to go do photo ops, and then we come TWO MINUTES LATE ago jeys auto, the guy is sorry and all but why wouldn’t he just go back there and ask him real quick?! If he asked Jey to come, he for sure woulda came and been like “hey little man sorry” and signed my sons figure, instead we had to get a refund of 110 bucks which I’m still waiting on, at least I didn’t get a hulk hogan photo op because those poor people just kept getting pushed back till like 5pm, it went from being at 9pm to being pushed back till 5pm, if ff see’s this, next time maybe instead blaring Travis Scott over speakers you can say sum like, final call to get an autograph with (insert person here). Otherwise it was pretty good besides the fact they let you buy 10 AYTIS FROM ONE GUY!!!! Bro they should limit it to 3, sooooo many people didn’t meet people because of those eBay resellers.
