Currently, I am developing my MSc thesis in computational micro-mechanics (I am analysing ply damage using computational micro-mechanics). This video was highly motivating for me, and increased my faith in working in FEA in the future. Thank you!

Hey Tiago! Wow... what you do seems complicated! But I'm sure you will get there! All the best along the way!

Really enjoyed this talk. I just graduated from mechanical engineering and will be starting my first job in structural analysis in about a month. I’ve been trying to learn FEA for a little while now to get a better understanding of what the software is doing in the background (instead of just clicking buttons). Not going to lie it is pretty hard, especially when you get past the “simple” direct stiffness method stuff. I’m kind of glad you confirmed that the learning curve is extremely high. I thought I was doing something wrong! Haha

Hey Nicolas! So nice to hear from you! Yea, FEA is tough to learn, but if you finally get there - cool stuff will happen! Don't give up, I'm sure you have what it takes to learn what is needed!

Wow!!!! thanks for this. Just starting my 3rd year in engineering and recently started exploring about FEA. The thing you told about maths is so relatable, reading FEA books gave me the impression that the maths that I would require to learn this is daunting and there is no way I would ever be able to learn it. I guess for now I will stick with strength of materials and mechanics while learning about FEA bit by bit. I feel lucky to have found this video so early on. Can't thank you enough.

Thank you, Aryan! I'm really, really glad that you found this video useful :) And good luck in learning! FEA is a great field, and learning it is definitely worth it... even though it may be irritating at times :)
