Appreciate how honest this review was. My dad is most concerned about image quality so this review was able to answer his concern.

I’ve had this feeder for about a month now, first and only camera feeder atm. I would say it’s a great feeder overall, most of my complaints are within the app. The build quality is solid. Love the dual chamber feeder. The solar panel will keep the camera charged up with no problem, even in limited sunlight. The things I really dislike are the way you have to request videos from the feeder before you can watch them. Sometimes the requests can take a few minutes. The clips are only 15 seconds long so sometimes you will miss stuff that is happening. The AI is pretty much useless and the live feature takes forever to load and the quality is pretty bad, but that could just be my internet. Most of my complaints could be addressed with software updates and I hope they will. I think the price is a bit high since you are forced to pay the monthly subscription. Great review!

Good information Derek. My question is how easy is it to clean. Especially with plastic feeders the recommendation is to soak to kill bacteria??? Thanks.

Hi, good morning 🌅 to you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. This new bird feeder tend to sway back and forth due to its thin and narrow pole. May I please ask what it is standing on ? Is it plucked deep into the ground, or does it have some sort of stand. How is your other bird feeding working out ? Any interesting birds go to that anti-squirrel bird-feeder ? Thirdly, do you buy specific seeds to target feed specific bird breeds ?

Does the free version of the app notify you when you have a visitor?

Your yard must be full of bird feeders with cameras... you could make quite the backyard birding movie with just those videos. Are all these feeders sent to you try out, or are you purchasing them... just curious. Thanks for another great video.

@@verthosand haha I think we could set the record for most smart bird feeders in a yard if we wanted to 😂 all of them were sent for us to review. I’ve never actually bought one for myself.

What kind of post are you using? I can’t attach mine to a tree or the squirrels will have the food gone in a day lol

This is the post I used. It has rusted a bit on the connections so you may want to find one that’s better sealed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJi7gmqwd5J0e7Msi=JqIIUMCvKFsm-mwe

@@BadgerlandBirdingthis other video does not explain a lot about how you hooked it up. What are the clips you used ? Link? Advice on a more sturdy pole? Thanks

How usable is the app without a subscription? The feeder looks to be nice but if the the basic functions are locked behind a paywall its kind of a deal breaker IMO. Personally, I don't really care for the AI functions as none of them seem to be good.
@BadgerlandBirding23 күн бұрын
@@MatHolliday AI is relatively useless on all of them. They’ve gotten better about putting more in front of the paywall now so you get images of visitors and can watch the livestream. If the stream is most important then it would work without a subscription. I hate all the subscription culture too that everything seems to be trending towards
