Theres a lot of good, but the bad outways it significantly. Bullet Drop, which is arguably the worst mechanic they've ever added, Movement and UI. A little good and a POOL of bad.

I really like this chapter and the map(specifically season 1, it just felt really pretty and clean to me), but I also love the fact that they are focusing on storyline again. This is really big for me as player who started in chapter 4 where it was almost nonexistent

My opinion on the chapters is… Chapter 1 - Best POIs. So many of them can be considered pop culture references at this point. Chapter 2 - Best Storyline/Live Events. Great live events and the storyline was at its strongest because of it. Chapter 3 - (In my opinion) Best map. It definitely didn’t live up to its potential if it got the full 8 seasons, but seasons 1 and 2 nailed it. Chapter 4 - Best Loot Pool. Tons of unique items and (for the most part) a balanced enough loot pool each season. …not saying that any of these chapters are bad in any of these areas, it’s just I think some of them did it better.

Especially Car mods which people have wanted since Cars were added. I remember when the Off Road Tires were added and everyone was so happy about the potential of Car mods. The only problem was that Epic made them the theme of a whole BR Season when they could have been in RR to make it 1. Relevant because its the least popular mode and 2. It could be like Mario Kart in Fortnite.

Here's what I liked about Chapter 5 - Season 1 introducing us to a new awesome island with cool POIs and new content. The introduction of Medallions that regenerate shields that can be collected after eliminating a boss. 5 bosses inhabit the island, all of whom are from the battle pass, each having a mythic weapon, and one of the bosses is a character we long awaited for, Peter Griffin. My favorite bosses to eliminate for the weapons include Montague at Grand Glacier for his Mythic Nemesis (suppose to be Enforcer AR) AR and Oscar The Tiger at Lavish Lair for his Mythic Auto Frenzy Shotgun. The boss I liked fighting for fun is Peter Griffin, especially when wearing his skin and doing the surfin bird emote as he clutches his knee. I also enjoyed the TMNT collab with the turtles' weapons and of course, enjoying their favorite food, Pizza. - Season 2 introducing Greek Mythology with many POIs named after locations of the Greek Mythology and skins named after the Gods of Mount Olympus. Favorite boss to fight is Cerberus and his agility medallion. Loved the Avatar Last Airbender collab with the inclusion of Korra as the secret skin and the water bending mythic. - Season 3. Despite it being controversial with the cars, I ABSOlUTELY LOVED IT!!! With the wasteland POIs and cars, it definitely felt like being in Mad Max Fury Road, even though a collab with Mad Max didn't come out, especially with the release of Furiosa A Mad Max Saga, I still enjoyed it. Commanding the boss cars and having all the OP weapons and medallions, I literally felt like Mad Max from the films. The Pirates Of The Caribbean collab was a cool way to finish season 1 as the first Disney Collab in Fortnite. - Season 4 was amazing with the Marvel theme. Battle Pass was great, especially with Peely and Jonesy joining the Marvel Team as Peelverine and Captain Jones. Becoming Doom definitely raised the stakes. I was able to become Doom himself at least once and having all the power felt amazing. The new weapons, including return Marvel weapons were pretty OP but I got use to it. Still pretty awesome playing as either a hero or villain of Marvel. Favorite Battle Pass skins are Gwen Pool, War Machine, Peelverine, and Captain Jones.

Not a massive fan of C5, I loved season 2 and this season is also pretty good, but I didn’t like season 1 that much and season 3 was the worst season ever. Projectile weapons aren’t as bad as everyone says they are, but it is definitely noticeably harder to hit long range shots. Map was my least favorite, thankfully reckless is still here but removing fencing was a massive blow to my enjoyment of the map. So yeah, I do think it’s the worst chapter, and I haven’t even mentioned the corporatization of the game over this chapter.

No , Chapter 5 gameplay is better, projectile guns are more "fun" than hitscan guns, and the animation movement is actually very smooth and fresh. The graphics also look very "sunrise"-like and more "realistic"

@@PhantomCitadel I mean if you really think about it , Fortnite is still Fortnite, the things like holding a pickaxe, harvesting, building, editing, item slot/inventory and emotes are things that havent changed much since Chapter 1 of Fortnite and until now. It is still the same game , just more evolved, improved and experimental. Yes , Chapter 5 might seem more dry and shallow to some people, but this chapter Epic Games are just clearly focusing more on quality, slight realism and metaverse , they might change their priorities for Chapter 6, who knows but the evolution and improvement will never stop , that is for sure.

I honestly think Chapter 5 is decent. It was experimental to begin with and that means a lot of the stuff weren’t going to be amazing 10/10’s anyways. That being said the battle passes are the highlights of this chapter. Hades and Megalo Don actually feel like tier 100’s and there’s actually dance emotes (I know Chapter 4 had dances but that doesn’t just carry the mid of Chapter 4 season 3 or whatever). I think the map is pretty solid and memorable but absurdly lifeless. Bring back the color of Chapter 4(the events carried). The gameplay wasn’t the best this chapter though. Like seriously car meta, hover meta, at least they didn’t bring mechs back. I think the weakest point is the gameplay but even then Reloads introduction was awesome because you can just get simple, fast paced gameplay via that. I think this chapter is at least top 3.

In my opinion yes, but it’s not bad by any means. It’s just chapter 1 is while my least favorite, holds a place in many peoples hearts, chapter 2 was overall a fun time with a unique storyline while still keeping the chapter 1 feel, chapter 3 had (imo) the best map to date with some of the best items to date(MK7 best Assault Rifle) and chapter 4 had the best graphics and again had great items. Chapter 5 just doesn’t feel like Fortnite, but it still has a clear theme and storyline which I like.

The biggest problem about C5 is the mods Benches should be on the map at every location from the second the match starts and they should have added more mods every season. We should have gotten something like the tactical dmr from c4 s4 where you can go from 1.5x zoom to 2x zoom. Another problem with specifically the last 2 chapters is that there has been no old locations brought back Chapter 4 was supposed to be bringing a bunch of stuff from realities to our reality yet there were no versions of chapter 1,2 or 3 locations in c4 same thing with this chapter It’s supposed to be a new timeline so we should have had the same thing like C2 where we had 3 poi’s from c1 Maybe having the less active poi’s be near the middle instead like how they made shifty in c3 be a outward location giving it less action than c1 imagine if we got something like coney crossroads on the map instead of reckless or an upgraded superhero mansion instead of Rebels Roost. Everything else is really good though locations are good for the most part gunplay is good the new animations look amazing just had to take some time to get used to it same with projectile weapons. I do think we need a bit of a refresher from projectiles though Maybe they could make it an on and off thing where c6 is hitscan c7 is projectile and so on

Amazing content, return of the story, a new biome every single season, some live events were great and Fortnitemares is looking good and this is without mentioning the Meta verse. For me Chapter 5 is not bad, but it is not a good chapter either. I think that Season 4 we are in now is by far for me in meta wise will go down in history as the worst seasons ever when it comes to meta. I am not a big fan of forced metas in games. As we all know, the meta of Season 4 was all about the jetpack and if you can't find a jetpack in the map, then you're screwed. At this moment, I don't think nerfing the jetpacks is going to be enough at this moment. Even with the nerfs, PC players primarily are still abusing the hell out of the jetpacks. Only solution to mitigate to what is left of the season before we move on to Chapter 2 OG is vaulting the Marvel items we have in the current lootpool for good. Because having those items along with the Halloween items expected to come later this week will make the game even more unbalanced that the Marvel items will overshadow the Halloween items by a wide margin. Everything else like the map and battle pass for this current season I am fine with which is not an issue.

to give my opinion, in short, no, i dont think chapter 5 was hte worst chapter. As i seen some comments here say, there was alot of positive things going for the main Battle Royale mode, excluding any talk of Lego, Festival or Racing. We got live events every season, returning limited time modes, return of voiced quests, the map changing alot more frequently, great weapon and mobility changes, and alot of great ideas of seasons. The Wasteland themed season, weapon modding, the return of Midas, collabs like Fallout, Family Guy, Metal Gear Solid, Saw, Avatar. there is alot here for this chapter that makes it stand out alittle more and with more to give for the players. Really what kinda "Ruined" the chapter is the amount of backlash to items cause of the sweat/tryhard/meta users complaining about "op" new items and functions, causing epic games to completely Neuter those features, pandering more to the Tryhard Meta players than the rest of the playerbase. On top of that, I also think what makes people say that "chapter 5 is the worst" is because of how epic Games' focus has now been divided onto 4 (5 including the new fall guys mode) completely different modes now, possibly gonna be expanding to more with Chapter 6 (based on the leaks of a sport themed mode and of course the disney experience mode). We get some cool unique things for modes like Lego and Festival, but alot of people in the playerbase wouldve wished some of these things were in the main battle royale more than these other modes. The obvious of which, is the inclusion of Klombo in the lego mode, or some models used for instrument skins to be used as pickaxes in festival. all those things aside, for me personally, i think chapter 5 has been one of the better chapter experiences for me, but not by far the best. As someone who joined into the fortnite craze way later than everyone else (never truly started till CH2 S7), i feel chapter 5 was a pretty decent outing for 2024. It had alot of collabs that personally made connection to me (specifically the fallout collab), the weapon modding system i loved for how it adds a new layer of replayability or strategy, the locations were great, especially in later seasons like in S3, and there was some unique mechanics i enjoyed, like the car mods and the greek god mythics.

Great video and my opinion is chapter 5 is a mid chapter and the worst chapter is 4

You cant compare this chapter to others and if you put this chapter over others you had to started in chap5. my favorite chapter was 3 and 4. Fortnite chapter 5 dont even feel like fortnite and the game lost its charm

Chapter 4 is the most underrated chapter in Fortnite history the wilds season is over hated c4s2 was amazing adding mega city and new poi’s c4s1 was a solid season only thing annoying was the hammers . C4s4 was a top 5 best season of all time 💯 I don’t get it 😂

It was good in its first days but now it’s just…bland. From unnecessary Changes to un-balanced guns and items and adding the metaverse made the item shop really bland because of Lego…It made me miss chapter 4 so much…the chapter that I didn’t reach level 100 in any of those seasons from chapter 4…

IMO, Chapter 5 isn’t that bad, but due to lack of updates and lack of content is one of the reasons why people don’t like it and disappointing updates and epic being lazy and playing around with this chapter

This is the first chapter that has had me seriously considering quitting the game. The first season was tolerable, but between the vehicle Meta and the over abundance of "special" weapons this season in particular, I can say that I have an enjoyed a single match. I'm not really a fan of reload, because unfortunately I don't like the "OG" art style or loot pool, but I really think going forward if they're going to have seasons like this, they should have a stripped option to play which eliminates all mythic's and special weapon weapons from the loot pool. I get adding special weapons to make the game more interesting, but this season was overkill
