If you've never been to the Scottish/Irish Highland Festival in Estes Park, it's so worth it. The jousting is awesome, but there's also amazing music, dancing, food, and a sweet parade.

I was there for the double-dismounting at 0:12. It was the first pass at the first show of the entire PNE a couple weeks back, and when both of the riders fell off they were barely moving (at least I couldn't tell from where my seat was). It was incredible, felt like I'd just watched a car wreck.

I had seen the show on history channel and knew what was coming but it seems so much more violent in real life. Its awesome. I ended up going back watching a couple of other shows that day. Its funny watching the crowd who aren't expecting it to be as brutal go suddenly silent after a big hit. Shane is a fantastic MC- "Come on Vancouver! You wanted blood! Are you not entertained?!"

It could, but it needs to add betting venues and drop the cosplayer faire setting, better riders not getting knocked off every other tilt and some sort of armor production standardization so it doesn't take a year or more and 5-10k(just a guess) to acquire a suit. Could be just as popular in some areas as BMX or motocross. I imagine whats holding it back right now is accessibility to horses and acquiring the armor.
