Old people need quiet. I do not want to live in a city with hundreds of bars, and discos. I like to sleep well, at night, and occasionally in the day. I do not want to be surrounded by crazy tourists every day. Is Batumi right for me? Is there a quiet part?

A stable political situation is an absolute neccessity and no one can guarantee that,however the narrator has pointed out negatives which makes a change for this kind of video which pretends that everything is wonderful and the sun shines 24 hrs a day!Batumi has changed a lot since I was there in 2008/9 for sure,seens to have lost some of its character imo. He doesnt mention the terrible drivers tho I suppose locals are used to it and so dont notice.Anyway thanks for an informative and balanced video. PS A question-is it easy/possible to find a place to rent in the old part of the city?one problem I noticed when looking into the possibility of renting was that there were a lot of short term lets because people want to understandably cash in on the holiday period in the summer-is that a fair comment?

just in 10 years batumi became European city. 90's years batumi was known as criminal, poorest city, but today it's one of heart of the black sea. I'm sure, next to 10 years Batumi wil be the second Dubai in the black sea. batumi is more natural city than Dubai. Difference between Dubai and batumi is that batumi has no gas, oil, but it's developing to better day-by-day. I'm Georgian, but my family moved to Germany 10 years ago. I've been to batumi in 2019 year and my impression was stunning. I'm looking forward to visit this city again.
