Is GFO or CARBON DOSING the best way to reduce PHOSPHATE??

Corals dont hate gfo. Corals hate parameters going from super high to low instantly....

From my understanding, carbon dosing reduces nitrates much faster then phosphates. Around 16 to 1. Do I have it backwards?

Never bring it down quickly it is worse my corals love gfo I do water changes every week because gfo takes trace elements out

Everyone does this different, but I strongly disagree. Your corals and all corals hate GFO, now your GFO may have created a healthier environment for your corals giving you the appearance your corals liked it. And size of tank, amount of GFO used, and your phosphate level play a huge role. A large tank you may never realize this. Take a small tank full of mixed corals and add lot of GFO. Even if you keep the phosphate level stable with dosing your corals will retract polyps and become very sensitive and unstable. So in my OPINION "not fact" I believe they hate it lol. But this is how we learn new stuff by disagreeing and challenging each other! thank you for watching i love talking corals hahahaha

GFO is so strong even the bad brands bring the phosphate down to quickly lol, but a more expensive product may have less heavy metals and other impurities in it so id agree there may be a better brand out there that I haven't tried. But I do not use GFO anymore my corals hate it and they love phosphate!
