We must also forgive ourselves as it does no good to beat ourselves up everyday. IF we could go back and change things we almost certainly would. If we don't forgive ourselves the Devil will use this and keep you in one place for a very long time. Its all about Jesus.

@@skunkz0r It starts by acknowledging your wrong doing. You have to be able to look at yourself in the Mirror and being able to be honest while looking at the 'guilty person'. Then, from the Heart, you have to acknowledge this before the Lord. Jesus can hear and is very well aware of you. He can see and hear you, RIGHT NOW. He rose from the dead after 3 days and is Very Much alive now. He is seated at the Right Hand of Power Right now. Then acknowledging who 'he' is and 'what' he did and how we are saved, but most importantly, FROM THE HEART. I do not know your heart but Jesus does. He paid for our Sins from the Cross, knowing our Sins beforehand. What he did at the Cross not only paid our Sin debt in the past, it also covers our future Sins we have yet to commit. People who have been physically and mentally abused can abuse others. The Devil will use this sort of 'issue' against someone seeking faith; while 'you' may have been abused, you also abused others that had nothing to do with nothing, for example. Also, an important note; you can't Sin away your salvation. Once your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life, it won't be blotted out. IF you Repent from the Heart, you are forever saved but you can still be punished by Him. Remember, we see each other as we want to see each other but the Lord Judges by the Heart.

I wanna tell you what.....One thing that I love so much about Jesus and being saved is a brand new beginning. I was on drugs, alcohol, pornography and many other sins but Jesus forgave me and He made me a new creature. I love Him today Because he first loved me. Thank you brother Allen for this video. My wife and I did have premarital sex but even though we were sinning, God had compassion and allowed our son to be conceived within the first week of our marriage. I am often amazed at the mercy shown when we were clearly sinning against Him. I was conceived outside of marriage and instead of allowing me to repeat the cycle, God broke that. All glory to Him!

It's so heartbreaking that people think God is looking down on us in constant disappointment and anger. That's one of the biggest lies of the devil. No matter what God loves you and wants to forgive you and have a relationship and you. I prayed for my brother for 10 years to give his life to the Lord. He hated God for years because our dad was very verbally abusive. And he always believed that God was punishing him. Two years ago at my Bible study, that his now fiance begged him to go to, gave his life to Jesus. I've never seen him so at peace and happy

You can do it Daine! Just remember, your relationship is in an exciting phase right now. But go and get premarital counseling. Truly allow yourselves to be real with one another about everything. How will you handle finances, children, career aspirations, issues with extended family, communication issues, sex issues, previous baggage, hurts from your existing relationship? Man, 15 years later in my marriage, I wish we would’ve realized that sex interrupts preparation for a life together. There will be plenty of sex but you only get this one chance to get ready and make sure Your aligned with God and each other, and have peace saying “I do”, knowing that you did your due diligence. Me too. My poor choices had me to the point where I wanted to do some horrible things to myself because I felt soo dirty low and unworthy. I feel much worse hearing from family. I was frequently gaslighted into believing I am now suffering sickness (irreversible serious eye disease that will eventually lead to vision loss, a chronic disease that I inherited and lately a genetic autoimmune disease that's irreversible)😢 because of my past sins. I felt devastated when I was scolded that if anything worse happens to me will be my fault because I inflicted this on myself. All I got was shaming, blaming and guilt tripping. That crying is a form of weakness and it won't do any good to my situation. That God is punishing me.😢😢

I'm going through a similar situation/s as far as my employment and financial status. Past drug and alcohol addiction resulted in extremely poor choices and decisions. My mom thinks her sickness is a punishment for the bad things she did to other people too. But she sees it as an encouragement because she will only receive punishment in this world and not in the afterlife. Jesus payed the price so she wouldn't payed it in hell but it doesn't mean that it won't catch up to her in this life. I try to tell her otherwise but that's how she understands it.

As someone who became disabled I can relate to this for a few reasons. One being that I was told that I was being punished by God and told that it's because I don't have enough faith that I'm not healed. It took me a few years, getting away from those who treated me with disdain and starting at a new church that I've come to realize that the others were wrong. I've been told that my strong faith has encouraged everyone at my new church as they struggle with things in their life. It's been amazing to have solid bible teaching and encouragement that has opened up a whole new world for me to truly feel like I'm in the right place. After all that I've been through and they only know the tip of the iceberg and they see how strong my faith is. Ultimately it's knowing the sovereignty of God that has brought me thus far and will continue to lead me. I know that no matter what God is in control and He will sustain me. I've got a lot of struggles to live daily but God helps me to get through each day even if I have to use equipment to walk Jesus is walking with me helping me to do what I wouldn't be able to otherwise. I have felt like this many times over the past 7 years and kept beating myself up for past mistakes to a point that I started every morning just crying in bed for awhile before I'd get up. It was only when I started laying down every big and little thing that I felt bad about before God that I finally truly felt and understood his forgiveness and unconditional love. Indeed, Autism is not a Punishment for Sin. Although I have not seen the show, but I have heard many great things about it, "The Chosen" depicts Saint Matthew as having what used to be Known as Asperger Syndrome, but is Now Known as High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder . Given His extremely Logical Approach to His Gospel, In dividing it into 5 Segments, to Reflect the 5 Books of the Torah, to Portray Jesus as a "Greater Moses" , it is Possible the Shows Creators could be onto something. In Short, Saint Matthew might have been...like Me. This thought gives Great Hope not only to Me, but also , I hope, to Parents and Relatives of People with Autism. Not only does the Lord Jesus Christ Understand Us, and our Limitations, but He also knows *exactly* how to use Our Strengths, be they Logic, Imagination, Attention to Detail, or a Great Memory, to Serve Him, and to Serve God! So, Please, think on that, in what wonderful ways might the Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore the LORD God as the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, use Your Child's unique Talents, to serve Him?

Nowhere do we see the law coming back to condemn the believer. Why? Because Christ died once for sin according to Hebrews 10 so the law was nailed once and taken out the way, never there to condemn the believer ever again.

Good video, actually one on time! I've sinned so greatly in my past with lust, fornication etc as a christian, born again by God's Spirit, that during this year I've had this huuuge anxiety and fear for the last months or so. I have repented of them(those sins about lust) as I remember and truly confessed them to God and wanted to forsake them ALL! I've also had this addiction I've tried to get rid of for a looong time that I've seriously went back and forth with all kinds of thoughts in my mind that why is my life such a mess health wise nowadays. Of course, as galatians 6 says, we reap what we sow, and as you well quoted hebrews 12, God disciplines His own children. Nowadays it just is so odd and tough.. I'd highly would like to know why on earth I do have this anxiety, fears and odd nervous system issues. You see, I've not had them in my past, they came to me during this year suddenly. Well.. no matter what happens I still praise God for saving me by sending His only begotten Son to die for my sins on the Cross and resurrect Himself bodily on the third day that I could live eternally, live for Him! Having been raised in church, this is EXACTLY why I no longer participate. God is not a punisher and the Devil isn’t busy. Right will always be right and wrong will always be wrong…there is ALWAYS a consequence and result for all behavior. It’s really that simple!

Thank you for this video! I have twins with down syndrome. I feel as though the Lord gave me these girls for a reason and I look at them as a blessing in my life. I was so far off the beaten path before my daughters were born. I feel as though the Lord blessed me with these little girls to inspire not only me, but others who have been struggling in their life. I now have so much more knowledge and wisdom about what it is like to be a special need parent. I want to help others in my life and I'm currently working on a book. I once had a genetics doctor tell me that I just have BAD LUCK and the odds of having twins both with downs is 1 in a million. Well I politely smiled and said "You must be mistaken, there is no such thing as bad luck. The Lord blessed me with these children and I'm learning so much as I go along this journey. They have taught me to be kinder and more patient and understanding. I know they don't teach this in medical school but these are very important things we must learn more about in this life." His response: crickets. I just hope he never says what he said to me to any other parent who has a special needs child.

I’ve been struggling with so much guilt over my past telling myself of the punishment I deserve from my past but I always forget that God doesn’t point backwards but forwards. The past has come and gone and once repented God remembers no longer so why should I? I don’t need to punish myself and have self induced punishment for something already forgiven. @Lightoftheworld So the context of this verse is the assurance that we are His. What is that proof of that assurance, LOVE not in word but in deed. But even though we are born again we still sin And so the Holy Spirit will convict of of that sin. So the " if " is in the context of " so when". It will happen that the Holy Spirit will convict us. Does this mean we are not saved, NO When we feel that conviction it is actually a sign that we belong to the Lord. The conviction we feel gives us the opportunity to repent and with the help of the Holy Spirit, change our behavior.

I've been through this before. Certainly prayer and studying God's word is vitally important. Also memorizing scripture so that you can bring it to mind when you struggle. Ultimately, sharing with someone I trusted and asking them to help hold me accountable was very helpful. Having someone to call that would lovingly support you and pray for you would be helpful.

Wish i had realized that in my early 20s. I nearly committed suicide because i had knowingly sinned and, how could i ever be forgiven? A lady came to me and said, "You are not under condemnation." She had only met me once and knew nothing about me. I was not very nice to her. But she just kept coming back and even helped me with my two babies. We ended up friends for over 40 years until she went Home. I finally went to the Lord with what she had told me. I just said i had to know for sure the Bible was Truth and that He really forgave me, otherwise i was going to kill myself that evening as i vould not live without Him. Something happened within me, and i KNEW. I accepted that He did forgive me and that the Bible was authentic. I was so happy, i wondered if i had gone mad! People noticed. One lady said she had never in 2 years seen me smile, snd now i was, why? I told her i thought it was Jesus in my life. She said she wanted that, too! Getting out of that mentality completely took time. But, there are other things and i sometimes wonder how God could forgive me. Moments of anger outbursts where i said or did something without thinking. There i think it is not forgiving myself. I am still a sinner and chastised not by circumstances, but in quiet moments where the Holy Spirit shows me my screw up. And I am a child humbled by the realization of a wrong attitude, word or action. I do ask for forgiveness and thank God for showing me, and for His forgiveness. Because of that, i know He hasn't given up on me, we are still loving snd working together. No other love means so much.

Gosh, I live in guilt of pass sins I did as a Christian. I know what God's Word says about forgiveness but it seems my guilt won't let me recieve it.😪

i agree that doesn’t mean that God never allows or enacts discipline on us for sin like brother Allen said because surely He does! but to say that every sin we commit will be punished by God is not Biblical and isn’t in step with the covenant

Allen. I just want to let you know how much you are loved sir. You're like the uncle I wish I could talk to all the time and talk your ears off. What you're doing here is much bigger than the career you left( engineering). I, WE , appreciate you. You are the bomb! This is for me and so many that feel this way. Even when you repent and never do it again, in the back of your head you think, " Yeah, it's cause of what I did 3 months or 5 yrs ago." It's hard to not see God as angry since he has so much power.
