Appreciate your teaching on the OT. We're not supposed to ask questions on your youtube channel and I didn't get an answer when I posted on your website so I went to Bible Project Podcast to answer my questions of ... are we supposed to follow all the 613 statutes? (not possible). Which ones are we to follow and who decides? Why do NT authors seem to disagree with you that Christians are to obey the Torah? I think I got my answer...If you have a husband who creates all kinds of rules and if you don't follow them all he punishes you, its not really a love marriage. But if he dies and you marry a new husband who sacrificed everything for you, who does the heavy lifting for you, your heart is softened and it is a love marriage rather then an authoritarian marriage and you are willing to give your all in return.

Thank you for making this very clear for people! Did you know that the fourth Commandment is the only Commandment that God says to remember? What are your beliefs on the Sabbath? But in no way are the other Commandments less important!

AMERICANREBEL ! Watch Torah Class teaching on Exodus, around lesson 17-20 for teaching on The Ten Commandments, and a good deal of detail on the fourth commandment (or da are, word) and The Sabbath.

@@JohnDulleckA is it possible for you to tell me, first when Jesus was crucified most of Christendom says the Old Testament was done away with and the Ten Commandments was done away with which I happen to (NOT) believe one bit! My best friend says we are not bound by the law ( Ten Commandments) anymore but I tried to tell him otherwise to no avail, my question is when Jesus died on the cross and the curtain in the temple was ripped down the middle signifying that the ceremonial and sacrificial I repeat ceremonial and sacrificial law was done away with because Jesus became the ceremonial and sacrificial fulfillment of the law in so many words, he fulfilled the sacrificial law and became the sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice, but the Ten Commandments we're not done away with, (how might I explain this to my friend In a way that is totally clear?!!)

AMERICANREBEL ! I’ve seen a few of your comments on other videos. Would I be right in assuming you are a Torah observant believer in Yeshua? This channel and 119 Ministries are a couple of my favorite teaching ministries on KZbin.

AMERICANREBEL ! That's a hard question, and I would say impossible to answer in a few sentences. I have been studying and watching videos on these very subjects for a few months now and I would have to draw on many of them to answer your questions. What I can say here is, when Jesus came He spoke against the religion practiced by the Pharisees. They thought they were teaching the Law, but in fact, were teaching a form of religion found in several extra-biblical works such as the Talmud. They added to the Law of God, something we are told specifically NOT to do in The Torah, specifically in Deuteronomy, Deut. 4:2 and 12:32. Exactly the same warning we find in Rev. 22:18 and 19. One of the reasons Jesus came was to lead people back to the unadulterated Law of God. Today, as Christians we live with the heritage of the Catholic Church and the reformers, men like Martin Luther and John Calvin. These too have added to (or taken from) The Law of God by introducing doctrines that are not part of the Word of God. So what you are sensing is the same thing that I was about 6 months ago. The more I studied my Bible, the more I found was in conflict with the doctrines I had been taught and just accepted at face value. So, I decided to start with a clean slate. I took off my evangelical reformed colored glasses and started reading The Bible for what it says, and not for what my Church says that it says. If you do this too I believe that you will be very surprised by what you find. And may I recommend something that has been a blessing to me as I study on my own from 119 Ministries, it is the Paulene Paradox series, and, while lengthy, it was a real eye-opener for me. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mV7Nh4ume9mnq6s) Start with the video, "Is the majority Ever Wrong?" Brother, I pray that The Lord richly bless you as you seek out His Truth in His Word. God bless.

Why did Paul say that the lLaw was nailed to the stake? Why did he say that no one can be righteous through the Torah but all are righteous through faith in Christ? Why did Paul say that the Law was set aside for a new and better covenant? If we are still supposed to be under the Law of Moses, then why do people peick and chose which parts to obey but dismiss the rest? It seems pretty clear that the apostles taught that once Jesus fulfilled the law perfectly and died, it was removed and all believers are now to be under the "law of the Christ"

they never taught that. in fact peter said that anyone who thought Paul taught against Torah they are unlearned/ignorant (dont know scripture) 2 Peter 3:15-18 English Standard Version (ESV) 15 And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, 16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. If you think that the law is done away with according to peter you are ignorant, and unstable in your faith.

1. he said the ordinances against us were nailed to the cross thus the curse of the law which comes from disobedience/sin are nailed to the cross. 2. Paul could not have said the law was set aside as the Law is the central focus of the new covenant: Jeremiah 31:31-34 English Standard Version (ESV) 31 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” 3. gonna need more context for this question what do you mean by pick and choose? 4. see my previous comment

Romans 3:31 31 Do we then make the law void through faith? God forbid! Instead, we establish the law.

To follow the Torah for Gentiles, is not preached by Jesus, Paul, or the Apostles. Peter who initially thought this way, was corrected and the counsel agreed to a proper way for Gentiles. The scriptures say in Gal. 3 vs 10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” So by trying to follow this law, you are placing yourself under a curse. And Jesus came to break the curse, the Bible tells us the Law is like a schoolmaster teaching us our NEED for Jesus and His grace. To follow the Torah as the Bible puts it, is to be under the curse of the slave woman as seen in Galatians 4:21-22 21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23 His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise. And further verses in Gal 4:30-31 30 But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” 31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

Why does Paul call it the "ministration of death", why does God say there is none that is righteous. why is Jesus our savior.
@messianictruth46536 жыл бұрын
the law of sin and death is what Paul speaks against Gods law is spiritual, good perfect and holy. however it also shows us we have all sinned and deserve death thus it ministers that we deserve death and need a savior. Faith saves us but true faith produces a hate for sin and thus a desire of obedience to the Torah/Law of God shall follow.

So you sir keep the Law, perfectly? If it is that easy, then why did none of the Jews or gentiles ever keep it perfectly? And I'm sure you don't keep it either. We are sinful, proud and selfish, that's why none of us keeps the Law. Only Yeshua did! James 2:10: For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Galatians 5:4: For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace. Romans 3:20: Therefore by works of the Law, not any flesh will be justified before Him; for through the Law is knowledge of sin. Romans 3:23: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:10: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous- not even one". Romans 4:5: However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
