It seems to me that most people always overlook the fact that God is talking about Himself. It's the absence of God which creates darkness and evil in the same way father absence in the household creates the children to run rampant. Without God in our lives there is darkness and evil ....calamity.

Love is lesson. It explains why YHWH! Yeshua, the Scriptures, the Hebrews, the Saints, are all Hated by the world. Its a natural reaction of evil against Good. So we dont take it personal. Its expected. The more push back I get when I or anyone else speaks the truth, the more I validate its righteousness. Shalom.

I think this concept give us the Free will ( our choices = Good or Evil ) , This is the main point that makes us different from any other creature of God's Creations. Another creaturesThey are blended with the Nature, the human being have choices to create the own environments through the Free Will

I'd like to add a thought to the analogy you use at about the 6minute mark regarding the flipping of a light switch to either add light to a room or turn off the light. Perhaps we could consider our choice to physically flip the switch on or off and thereby our actions/choices either introduce good (light) or introduce evil (darkness) into the world (room) around us. We certainly have the choice to do either all day, every day. Thanks for taking the time to post your lesson. God bless.

I gave this video a thumbs down because it seems he is just trying to explain away what the scriptures plainly teach. He is trying to get "fancy" and redefine what the Bible actually says to suit his and most people's desire and expectation of who God is. In his light switch analogy, if a person flips the light switch on, then that person is responsible for the light in the room and likewise if a person flips the switch off, he/she is just as responsible for the dark. God is the creator of all things in this universe and all things were created for HIS divine purpose. The moment that God told Adam that he could eat of any tree EXCEPT for the tree of knowledge of good and evil, then Adam was doomed to sin. If God had not made the law, it would have been impossible for Adam to sin. It is only because God made a law, that Adam was even capable of sin, for sin is the transgression of law and where there is no law, there can be no sin. God does not tempt anyone to sin, that is Satan's job and Satan was created by God for that exact purpose....to be the tempter. So did God create the evil Satan, absolutely he did and God created Satan for HIS specific purpose and Satan has been carrying out his obligations since he was created. God is sovereign over his own creation. There is nothing and no one that operates in ANY capacity outside the boundaries of who God created them to be. He is the potter and we are the clay, God can from the same lump make one vessel for honor and one for dishonor. God specifically created Pharoah in order to demonstrate his power over the gods of Egypt.
@Ruthie963

and I am very glad that I saw your comment too Jose Martinez. I don't often get positive feedback. I believe God is sovereign over his creation and NOTHING creates opposition to him or can divert from HIS plan for his creation.

Sure I have. I think people want to have free will, but the Bible does not teach concerning human free will. That concept is completely man-made. I think people want to think that they can live independent of God, but it is impossible. I don't think any human can take one breath unless God makes it possible. I don't believe that life is sustained by natural science (and I am a scientist with a Masters Degree in Science). People are generally offended at the very mention that God affects our "will", but scriptures clearly teach it and logic does too. Either God created all things and ordained science as the sustainer of life OR God is the creator and sustainer of life. I believe God is the source of all knowledge, wisdom, and every good thing. If you get a raise at work, it is not because you earned it, but because God blessed you directly. If you have a good idea, or even if you decide to have faith in Jesus as Lord, then it is GOD that blessed you with that good thought. Phil 2:13-for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. I give God credit and praise for every good thing in my life, including any good thought or any tidbit of knowledge that I may have.

jdmitch76 I agree with your argument that God created evil, as this is the conclusion I have came to with the exact same reasoning you have found. I disagree with, however, your premise that we do not have free will. God giving a person a thought, does not mean that God made that person act or have faith in that thought. There are many times in the Bible where God blesses and curses those based on their choices. Also, eating from the tree of the knowledge between good and evil is evidence for free will. Humans understand what is good and what is evil and can choose between which one to follow. Did you not have the free will to make your comment on this KZbin video, or was that God as well? If we do not have free will, then we don’t truly exist. If you believe in God being omnipresent and omnipotent but don’t believe in free will, you are believing that you are God (because God is choosing your every decision, thus making you Him because there is no ‘you’). I don’t believe the Bible aligns with this perspective. I believe it is very clear that God wants to form a relationship with us and that there is a tempter (being Satan) in opposition to this. God wouldn’t be forming a relationship with anything if we don’t have free will, as He would just be forming a relationship with Himself.

God doesn't DO evil. He uses satan for that - to tempt, lie & kill in order to show His power to save or kill according to one's actions of trusting in obedience to Him or not. 1Chron 21:15 is ref'g 2 Sam when David angered God & was enticed by Satan to do a census which would make everyone think about the power in #'s instead of the power God. David chose pestilence as his punishment & eventually God stopped the Satan, the death angel (?) from all the killing. Not that God repented. He is a just God & deals out punishment or blessings, as we choose to deny or obey Him. He's only looking out for our own best interest, giving us what we deserve...to a point of repenting when necessary.

God is perfect and chose the exact words he wanted to convey his message. He selected every word perfectly to mean exactly what he said. He does not need you to sugar coat or placate to a SJW safe-space liberal audience. God created everything with intent. His objective was to select a bride for his Son. While God has high standards, he made a way for us to be worthy by being cleansed of sin thru his Son. It is simply a process that God choose to use to select the worthy. There is positive and negative throughout the universe; in everything we know and don’t know by God’s design. You see it in everything around you and know about it in things you can’t see. You say that God has no control over evil and negativity and that it exists without his control is false. God does not create light; while darkness exist by default or evil exists because God created good only to be in opposition. God created darkness, evil, light and goodness with equal intent. He created Satan for the same reason and sanctioned him to play the role he plays by design. Satan is in heaven more than ANY other place, while other angels in heaven don’t lash out or attack him. Why do you think that is? Everything in God’s design has a purpose. Satan has no power of his own and is not equal to God in any way. Satan uses God’s design to play the role that God gave him for a purpose. Just as good has a role, so does evil. God’s design is perfect. None of it happened by chance without God’s will. Understand that living here on earth at this time; is not God’s ultimate goal. To take anything away from God; is to take away from his Heavenly GLORY!

I agree but he too had a choice. I do find it interesting though and have wondered about the other side of things. Like with the Pharoah, is he saved because of God's plan or did the choices he made negate all of that? Pondering, but still trust Him and know that He loves all of His creations.

he gave us freewill though. Just because we do evil doesn't mean God intended us too. we are responsible for our own actions. he didn't set us up for failure without a plan of salvation. would you rather have been created programmed to love God? that is the only way God could have 100% avoided us falling. sorry bud God doesn't want programmed robots. he wants real loving relationships, for that there must be free will however with free will there is a high chance of failure.

It is easier to understand in this way. God created two paths and preset outcomes for each path. This gives each person the freewill to choose either path and to suffer the consequences of those choices. You have each thing and it's opposite... Mercy and mercilessness, compassion and cruelty, love and hate, forgiveness and revenge, etc. You choose how to behave. And how u choose to behave effects others just as their behaviors will also effect you. The consequences and outcomes do not change either. So... If you live in a merciless town it isn't going to magically be a good place to live. That isn't the preset outcome. Unless they repent(identify their error, admit it is an error, and make correction) it isn't going to get better.

God created the reactions. He placed the boundaries. Your teachings lack insight. Precept must be upon precept. God made everything, nothing is from an unforeseen consequence, which is how you make it sound. God said HE created evil. Don't convolute or add to, He knew what He was saying.

a more true though but not perfect interpretation of Is 45;7 is thus; I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. -The word disaster which other translations use evil comes from the word ra', which does not mean evil or bad, means instead, adversity.- Anyone can look it up. When you find words which are all the same in all translations which trouble you, get out the strongs.Strong's Concordance ra': adversity Original Word: רָע Part of Speech: Adjective; noun masculine; noun feminine Transliteration: ra' Phonetic Spelling: (rah) Short Definition: adversity God did not create evil, but he does give peace to those he will, and stife and hardship to those he will also, but people should remember Gods word, For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Others may view this differently, I am merely sharing information, anyone else may believe as they may. If one looks up "Jehovah" in the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance it will mistakenly tell you that this is the name of the heavenly Father; but through a more diligent study, 'Yah' or Yahuah refers to YHUH, (a correct transliteration of the Tetragrammaton, as there are no E's or V's in ancient Hebrew, as I understand at this time), while Hovah, as can be seen via reference number 01943, means ruin, disaster, misfortune and mischief. Therefore, Jehovah means Yah, is ruin, disaster, misfortune and mischief; which is a descriptive title of Satan. Approximately 1400 years after the Messiah left the earth, a Catholic monk created the name Jehovah, and Jewish leaders of the time created the 'Ineffable Name Doctrine', which meant that those caught using Yahuah's true name were put to death, so the name Jehovah or it's variance, Yehovah was created for people to use, and is incorrect to use for the name of the Heavenly Father.

God created evil, which I define as the "capacity" for sin, but it is NOT sin itself. It is the ability to sin. Man comes along and sins within the realm of this evil capacity. Evil is NOT sin. Evil gives way for the opportunity to sin but it is NOT sin itself. Evil is not a "thing"; whereas sin is something we can identify, put our finger on it, and it is a specific action in defiance of God.

Since God 'cannot change'... evil is merely what 'good' is made from. Therefore the teachings of Lord Jesus should be a bit more acceptable AND urgent. The lightvwas separated FROM the darkness, thus the two CAN exist together. Maybe Revelation 22:11 will make more sense now. And... why the tree of life is on BOTH sides of the 'river'. Did you know that Biden mean BOTH or abide with? And that Putin means 'bridge', someone of the road, or someone of the way? By the way... you should not 'touch' what is 'good' or you will defile it - in the same way (but in reverse) that touching something that is dead, will defile you. I'd say... don't even look at it, but avoid it as Job did. Shalom.

I agree darkness is the absence of light but evil is only represented by darkness. Taking good out of a situation doesn’t mean what’s left is evil. Evil isn’t a substance. It’s what people do wrong by Gods standards. It’s something done by someone or it’s someone not doing the right thing. Sins of commission and omission in other words. Evil is a wrong action or inaction by people. It’s not a force that happens daily in 12 hour increments without someone either doing the wrong thing or someone not doing the right thing
