Is Godzilla Jr. Gemstone Godzilla?

The new Gemstone Godzilla has tons of clues that point to it being Godzilla Junior from Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah, of the Heisei era. So lets take a look at all of the evidence and see why I believe that they are the same Godzilla.

To add in a little bit of speculation? Gemstone Godzilla having such a mastery and creative use of his abilities can also be explained by Junior having been steadily mutated since before he even hatched, as opposed to mutating as a grown adult dinosaur like his adopted father did. His bidy is more adjusted to it. Sure we don't have smoking gun evidence it is Junior in the form of official confirmation, but there certainly is enough lines of evidence that I think it's open to interpretation that way.

I did a similar comparison as this, some other things similar to heisei godzilla is the energy hand and short blast of atomic breath. The short atomic breath was seen in Godzilla 1984 when he shot down a helicopter, and Godzilla used the energy hand multiple times against SpaceGodzilla. Also the in film time is 1996, meaning it would be 26 years in between the two.

Also, the Gigan Rex short was supposed to come out in 2021 which would have made it exactly 25 years but it was pushed back a year to line up with the Vs. Gigan 50th anniversary.

Toho pretty much stated that it's 50-50 at best. Maybe this is canon to the Heisei series maybe it isn't. We'll have to wait and see if they confirmed it

Yeah I agree, until told otherwise he isn’t, he most certainly is Jr. In terms of his power I’d say he’s easily one of the strongest due to his ability to easily control his immense power. Rivaling Final Wars. Junior is the Heisei G if he could control the burning state.

Maybe it’s a newer member of the species and this why it dosn’t hold a grudge against humanity. Sure it got doused with radiation but maybe this one knew it was an accident and maybe even a blessing in disguise seeing however powerful it became over the decades in hiding.

The heisei series is my favourite, and I appreciate that this short series is trying to appeal to 90s kids. Nevertheless, I wish the lore was more cohesive. Like, why not link Megalon to the Cosmos and Battra, or the Gigans to the futurians?

I feel like there are enough evidence for both sides. Personally i feel like there are more to support him being his own godzilla You said all the things to support him being jr. These are everything to dispove that. Again, the fingers are different. Also, there is none of the technology used in the heisei era. No mazers, super x's, no mechas. Nothing. You can say that or was peaceful for the gigan film but for none of these to appear later in the megalon part is really telling. And there are additional material that state that this godzilla had seen many battles....jr only fought destroyah. And in the Gemstone verse they said they were in a time of peace. If anything, it's talking more about the original heisei godzilla. I think most of what if being shown are simple references. Besides, the voice actor that returned said herself that the heisei era was over. I would have liked for him to be jr, but i don't think he is

Likely another closely related species of angirus, the actually angirus has a top shelled back with a lot of spikes, the temple one didn’t have a shell, and reduced spikes.

I see the opposite. The scar is like Shin Godzilla because this Godzilla was created by his designer. Godzilla Jr. nevertheless attacked the military; in one of the frames you can see a beam fired into the sky. Heisei Godzilla didn't change much in design. Its basic design elements remained virtually unchanged. why now does he have to look like Shin Godzilla in the classic version? There are other things that indicate otherwise. We don't see any masers, lasers or Super X3 which would obviously be against this Godzilla. Migumi Odaka herself said after the short film that the Heisei story about Godzilla had long been completed, which suggests that he is not Godzilla Jr. I consider this a fan-made continuation of the Heisei era at best. if some person who knows how to do animation well and the budget for this animation is given by Toho because this person won a competition and makes an animation with a hint of some era, will you also say that this is an official sequel? This is literally a fan animation that Toho only allocated the budget for. Why don't other fan animations get the same treatment? Let's remember the same animation Godzilla 2014 vs. Shin Godzilla Part One, is this also an official crossover now? I don't understand your logic. All this should be called fandom. To consider fan animation as a real sequel, I can only argue that this is your desire to see a continuation of the Heisei era
